Drawing Large Circles
« on: April 27, 2013, 12:49:52 AM »
I am trying to make a giant circular logo on a creative map, but I am having trouble making very large "perfect" circles. The only way I seem to know how is to flood lava onto the top of the world and trace its outer edge, but I would rather not use lava to do this.

Does anyone know an easier way to make very large circles in creative without the use of flooding lava? Or if possible have components he/she is willing to spare containing large circle templates?

Thanks a bunch in advance!!   ^__^

If you need larger, just add another layer to the outside edges until you've got what you need

Do lines in 1 then 3 then 5 then 7 and on until you get the half circle the way you want them reverse and go down by twos.

This should be useful: http://www.plotz.co.uk/plotz.php

You can make it bigger or smaller whatever you want. Pretty cool.

Never knew how to make spheres either, but this seems to walk you through it like some lego project

I've always been a fan of this. If you select all the block sizes of 1 and set your radius it'll map out each layer individually so you can make a sphere. If you just want a circle then simply look at the middle image :)

I would make a giant plus(+) sign where you want your circle to be than you only need to perfect 1/4 of the circle. Once you do that simply copy your pattern in the other 3/4 of the circle. let me know if what I said makes sense. If I doesn't ill try to re-explain it.  ;)

What would be even easier is to place two markers and select create sphere.  It would create a 3d shape using the markers as corner points. Obviously a perfect sphere could only be created if a cube would fit in.

A option to make it hollow would be handy.

Ive used Plotz to make spheres, and circles. It also has guides for wizard towers, observatories, light ousts and snowmen.
