add selectable textures to ambient sound blocks
« on: April 27, 2014, 04:56:21 PM »
i kind of think it would help out alot if you could choose a texture for ambient blocks....just so you can put it more into/towards the sourse of the block that u want the sound effect added to
like if u want it for a waterfall thats  in the open, like in a cave, you have to put it behind a wall, which could be far away from the water, and that would throw the sound off alot in some ways
just an idea

Putting inside a wall only makes it one block away. You know you can extend the range right?

Anyway its useful, but not a main priority in my opinion.

yes
but what if that wall is 10 20 blocks from a source youre trying to apply the sound to
it would add the sound on other parts of the map
or could interfeer with a area where you have 2 3 other sounds,so if you try adding one, itll say theres already 3 sound blocks in this area

I won't do this for the reason it can be very hard to find them again.
