New ideas taken from Minecraft.
« on: November 20, 2018, 07:15:41 PM »
I have been playing minecraft (yes on 360's Aquatic update.), and i came up with some new ideas.

Ideas:
*Overhead map onscreen, (instead of having to press a button, or having the map have the top or side options)
*More Dynamic weather (Kinda like the Localized weather mod from MC) *1
*Fishing (This was an idea in the past, but was dropped).
*Rails/ Minecarts

*1 (theres is an actual mod called the localized weather mod. Look it up.)
I have too many ideas to list here.

Sounds like a nice idea MC has been taking notes from TM I think TM can learn from MC as well.

Yes they can learn many thibgs. From scripts, which isnt on 360 sadly, to a world dedicated to digging

Total miner already has localized weather. You'll notice while you move around your map you will be able to enter and leave a rainstorm or fog.
Craig doesn't know me.

I think TMs is an improvement over MCs movement and design overall, still find it weird how double jump is a natural ability still.

I prefer MC's movement over TM, but TM won on a lot of things. (Shops, Scripts, zones, currency, more blocks, e.c.t)

TM:
Double/Triple Jump. Overall movement in the air is done much better in TM.

MC:
Running. I know you can script yourself faster, but the running system in Minecraft just feels good to play.

TMs movement feels more balanced between fast and slow gameplay. In pvp players are often strafing and jumping, its much more interesting in TM indeed. MC has poor combat due to knockback and hit reaction.

Total miner wins out. I tried it and then bought it. I love mine craft too but its so great to be able to play smoothly with Total Miner's control system on a console under the TV they are so easy to figure out too.

I find its mainly jsut slow really. Watch any of SwiftGeneration's Family Guy hunger games and how often people were slowly walking away from danger. Without ranged weapons, combat in Tm is very dry.

With a controller on a console yes. But using pc controls in combat is not very fluid, or easy to pickup. Its combat alone I chose to use my Xbone controller instead of mouse and keys.
