1.8 Release

Hi Everyone.

Welcome to the new forum.

Our plan is to submit the Total Miner: Forge 1.8 update into peer review in 72 hours from the time of this post.

Don't ask me how long peer review will take, honestly nobody knows. It could be 48 hours, it could be 2 weeks. We'll just have to wait and see.

It is now 70 hours from my previous post.

We believe we now have a build (game file) that is good to go into peer review.

There are a number of tasks that I must do to submit the game into peer review. These tasks must be done exactly and I only get once chance to get it right. If I make a mistake I'll have to pull it off review and that incurs a weeks wait before I can submit it again.

It's very late here and I'm very tired. So I will not submit it just now. I will sleep on this build tonight. Then with a fresh head tomorrow, perform the peer review submission tasks.

The 1.8 update has been submitted to peer review.

Peer review has officially ended. 8 reviews have been submitted.

We don't know yet if it has passed or failed. I haven't yet received the email from Microsoft.

The game cannot appear on the marketplace until that email arrives, but hopefully there won't be any problems.

The update is still suspended, waiting on the MS system to allow me to release it.

It's late here, so I'm going to bed now. But cos you lot are so cool, I'm going to get up in 3 to 4 hours to check it again.

What that means is it cannot possibly reach the marketplace until at least 5 - 6 hours from the time of this post.

So if you're up late waiting atm, now's the time to get some shut eye.

The update is on it's way!

The MS system has allowed me to publish the release.

So now it's just a matter of the MS system uploading it to the Xbox market place, hopefully in the next hour or two.
