Question Time

I have a few Questions about the modding API.

1.1. Is there a way to store custom data to an specific item instance(non stackable item)
1.2. Is there a way to provide item icons from code depending on the specific instance

2. skill like traits per savegame
2.1. Is there a way to add custom traits
2.2. How to gate items/using of block behind traits levels
2.3. Boost/Reduce traits via Code

3. Is there something like forge oredictionaries or the possibility to implement those via mod

4.1. Is there a possibility for an mod to register a "new mechanic" like power networks
4.2. Can other mods interact with these mechanics

Hope someone can answer these questions.
