So how about to avoid spam, every weak you can get one letter changed in your user name but you have to make at least 1 post that weak with your current name.cmon, thats fair.

That's about 4,000 times more complicated than the current system of "hey bob, can my name be changed to X?"

How is it avoiding spam if a member has to make a post just to change a letter in their username? It's encouraging spam. Not avoiding it.

Lets say I wanted to change my name from Fuertey to abcdefg. (same amount of letters). It would take me 7 weeks and 7 posts (which I would only make to be able to change my name) to do this. Or I could just message bob or a mod and ask them to change my name. This takes less than a minute and results in no spam posts.
