I'd just browse around places like Newegg and Ebuyer, you'll be able to find a decent laptop for $1000 but don't expect a super computer

Ya super computers go around 2000$ to 5000$, kind of what I think I'll get someday. But now I might just get a windows surface pro, it would do everything I need it to do...half computer and half tablet.

I could be wrong but I do believe the Surface Pro doesn't have a dedicated GPU so running games with decent graphical settings probably won't be an option.

I would really recommend alienware they have gaming laptops around your budget, the site is www.alienware.com plus you can build it how you want it to be like lighting, hardware and so on check it out. Most of the cheap one's may be 100 more over your budget but it would be worth it.
