Huttondale
by casual onion & Gordinio

About Huttondale
Howdy! I began this project with Gordinio in June 2016 as a side project to Barrow. Having released the potential for development, Barrow was shelved and Huttondale became the main focus. Our aim with Huttondale is to create a realistic interpretation of life in Northern England, specifically the countryside in North Yorkshire. We invite you to join us and explore all that Huttondale has to offer and live, work and shop within a friendly community of other players.

Farming
In Huttondale, you can farm to your hearts content with purchasable allotments, public farms and Florist Gump, the shop for the farmer within you. You can also visit the Wearside Farm Park in Little Sunderland for essentially an entire village full of farming fun.

Gambling
Got money to burn? Why not waste invest it on the casino or the lottery? You could win tens of thousands of Aires, or not.

History
Ever since the Tudors settled in Huttondale, the area has thrived off industry. When the mine was constructed in Treeton, Huttondale grew rapidly and provided the materials to build roads, villages and the many bridges you see today. The area takes it's name from "Hutton (on-the-hill) Village" and "dale" which is a Yorkshire term for valley. With excellent transport links to Baystone, Barrow and Airedale - new housing estates are being constructed far and wide.

Since Omega (owned by Gordinio) opened in 2013, there has been a strong rivarly between themselves and JG (owned by casual onion). One is cheaper, one has better stores, one has better locations and only the public decide which is best. An advertising war has begun between them and as well as this, they are both trying to gain employees by having the best factories. Which are you, #TeamJG or #TeamOmega?

Jobs
In Huttondale, jobs are available for you to earn money from. Currently there are four jobs, which are detailed below:

Carpenter's Paradise: Wood is at the heart of our business, even our shop is built out of it! But now, you can share our passion for wood and work in our Rockford store. Your job is to handcraft prodcuts to sell in our shop. You'll find our store right next to Rockford Mine.

Don't do it Yourself (DDIY): Here at Don't Do It Yourself DIY store, we pride ourselves on providing high quality DIY supplies to the builder within you. Our office and store is located in Everdale with stunning views over Weardale. Working here is great too and all you have to do to recieve your pay is manufacture products for our store, simple!
Nearest Bus Stop: Old Wearside

JG: Based in Treeton Bridge, close to the mine and cheap housing, JG is the ideal place to work. Your role at JG is to manufacture the 50+ products that JG supplies to it's happy customers every day. The office is situated on one of the largest plots in Huttondale and consists of an employee mine and free apartments amongst other perks. Interested? Come to our Treeton Bridge office and start your dream career here.
Nearest Bus Stop: Treeton Bridge

Omega: Based at our Treeton factory, Omega is ideally located next door to the main mine.

Mining
Mining is one of the main sources of income for visitors to Huttondale, and as long as you put the effort in, it can be rewarding. The location of each mine is as follows:

Burdon Pay on Entry Mine (POEM): Found in the centre of the village, Burdon mine has all the usual blocks you'd expect in a starter mine. Entry is free for residents with a code, otherwise it is 100 aires. This money goes towards mine refill. Nearest Bus Stop: Burdon

Everdale Regular Mine & Wood Mine: Found in the centre of the village, bus stop is located at the end of the village. Sell point is located in a nearby building. Wood and regular mine available, nearby tool shop. Nearest Bus Stop: Everdale

JG Employee Mine: Only accessible to JG Employees and is located below the Treeton Bridge factory. Regular JG employees can use it to get supplies if they feel like it (otherwise they can push a button in factory). Everything sold here goes to JG to make products. Nearest Bus Stop: Jubilee Mill + Treeton Bridge

JG Public Regular and Wood Mine: Located inside JG Apartment complex, there are two mines. Shop located in the same building. Everything sold here goes to JG to manufacture products. Nearest Bus Stop: Jubilee Mill

Rockford: Situated next to JG Rockford and accessible from Bricklyn, Cottonwood and Rockford via footpaths. Only accessible to those with supervisor rank and level 24 Mining. Sell point and tool shops nearby, as is a bus stop. Nearest Bus Stop: Rockford

Treeton Main Mine & Wood Mine: Located in the centre of the village. The biggest mine in Huttondale. Wood mine also available, as well as crafting and smelting areas. Three tool shops nearby, two sell points. Nearest Bus Stop: Treeton + Treeton Bridge

Twinlakes Pay on Entry Mine (POEM): Located opposite Omega Twinlakes store in the East of the village. Entry is free to Twinlakes residents provided by a code issued when a house is purchased. Non residents pay 200 Aires. Mine has a selection of building bricks and is located underground. Bus stop nearby. Nearest Bus Stop: Low Treeton + Treeton

Properties

The map has a large variety of properties with every one being different to it's neighbour. Whether it be size, shape or design, each one is unique, there's no copy and pasted houses here. Whats more, most are based on real life British houses, something i like doing! The price of each property is based on the volume of it and any extras such as farms. I can guarantee you that houses are much cheaper than in any of my other maps with some of them starting below 10,000 Aires, especially in Burdon.

As of April 2020, the average house price is 46,949 aires. The most and least expensive villages to live in are as follows:

Most Expensive
1st Place - Acaster: 153,176 aires
2nd Place- Bricklyn: 106,667 aires
3rd Place - Enclave: 106,600 aires
4th Place - Everdale Valley: 72,545 aires
5th Place - Duxford: 68,960 aires

Least Expensive
1st Place - Battered Sausage: 9,333 aires
2nd Place- Burdon: 10,033 aires
3rd Place - Treeton Bridge: 17,000 aires
4th Place - Mill Hill: 18,750 aires
5th Place - Brafferton: 21,333 aires

Ranks
In Huttondale, there are currently 7 ranks, shown below. These all have different rewards such as money (Aires), permissions (such as fly) and tools (pickaxes and a hammer!). Ranks can be purchased at JG Stores and at Spawn (Treeton Bridge). There will also be dedicated Rank Shops in some villages.

The ranks, price to purchase (and rewards) are as follows:

Apprentice: 100 Aires (Wooden Pickaxe, 10 Hutton Points)

Trainee: 500 Aires (Iron Pickaxe, Ability to sell to Wholesaler for more income, 50 Hutton Points)

Employee: 1,000 Aires (Steel Pickaxe, Spectate, 100 Hutton Points)

Clerk: 5,000 Aires (Greenstone Pickaxe, 500 Hutton Points)

Team Leader: 10,000 Aires (Block Shop, 1,000 Hutton Points)

Supervisor: 50,000 Aires (Access to Wholesaler, 5,000 Hutton Points)

Manager: 100,000 Aires (Diamond Pickaxe, Fly, 10,000 Hutton Points)

Chairman: 250,000 Aires (View Scripts, 25,000 Hutton Points)

Executive: 500,000 Aires (Ruby Pickaxe, 50,000 Hutton Points)

VIP: 1,000,000 Aires (VIP Hammer, 100,000 Hutton Points)

Public Transport

Huttondale is really easy to get around; either on foot, by bus or by air. Each village has it's own bus stop and for a small fee of 5 aires. Please note however, that some bus stops are quite close together (e.g. Mill Hill-Little Sunderland & Treeton-Treeton Bridge so it might be best to check before you travel.

Shopping
FAMALAMADINGDONG: Since 2018, FAM has prided itself on providing the cheapest products in Huttondale. Situated in a prime location, next to Treeton Mine, FAM also has a private crafting room to create masterpieces in a quiet environment.

Florist Gump: Florist Gump in Treeton is the one stop shop for all your farming supplies. It's also where the millers and farmers exchange goods to make money!

Just Great (JG): Since it was founded in Gorsey in 2008, JG has been providing blocks and tools to visitors with a strong emphasis on customer service. We have well laid out shops, all with crafting and smelting areas. With six shops and a lovely big factory, JG is without doubt the biggest and best company in Huttondale and we're only going to get better.

You can also work at JG at our main shop opposite spawn. The current jobs are as follows:
-> JG Factory Worker (Makes products for the JG Shop)
-> JG Farm Worker (Farms crops for JG Bakery)

The employee perks are as follows:
-> Ability to purchase employee apartments and cottages, exclusive to JG.
-> Great working environment in a modern building.
-> Half price pickaxes in any JG shop.

MegaAss: MegaAss was founded in early 2018 to be the sister company to Omega. The name came from a twitter meme about the merging of popular UK supermarkets ASDA and Sainsburys. It currently only sells clothes and vegetables, but might branch out in the near future. In the new months it has been an active company it is already more profitable than JG in its entire 10 year history. MegaAss Merch will soon be available to purchase on https://megaass.webs.com/

Omega: Omega was created sometime in late 2013 on the map New Gorsey, it was originally a car dealership with a very questionable logo. After a few year it got into direct competition with JG, which started on the map Airedale, since then Omega has been the dominant company with its great prices. Omega will soon be branching out to new businesses, such as mining and baking.

You can also work for Omega and the roles here include:
-> Omega Blacksmith (Creating weapons and tools)
-> Omega Crafter (crafting various things)
-> Omega Farmer (Farms crops for shop)

As with JG, there are many employee perks such as:
-> 10% off everything except select items for all employees.
-> Blacksmiths have 5% off weapons and tools at Omega.
-> Crafters have 5% off general items at Omega.
-> Farmers have free seeds. (cannot be sold)
-> Free apartments and houses to loyal employees.

Points Shop, Twinlakes: Located a short walk from Twinlakes Lakeside, the Points Shop allows you to exchange Hutton Points for rare blocks such as colours and arcade machines, not available in regular stores.

Villages
In Huttondale, there are currently 25 villages to explore and maybe even live in one day. Most have a wide variety of properties at fair prices and occasionally mines and shops. Some have spectacular views too! I have put the average house prices in the brackets next to the village names.
Spoiler for Hidden Content:
Acaster (153,176 aires): Situated on the hillside opposite Treeton and at the end of Pilley and Wear Bridges, Acaster could not be a better place to live. Mind you, you do pay for the privelige as Acaster has the highest prices in Huttondale. The village is also where you find the Huttondale sign, a great place for a photo!

Battered Sausage (9,333 aires): The village takes it's name from a delicacy sold in the local fish and chip shop. The village is home to all of three buildings and a landscaped garden called Chip Shop Park. The nearest bus stop is Little Sunderland.

Brafferton (21,333 aires): Based on a real village in Hambleton, Brafferton is a row of several houses and a village shop. It's located on the opposite side of Malice Bridge to Malice Village. Brafferton is where you will find Hutton Wholesalers, which you will soon be able to work at. The village has some of the best views of Wear Bridge in the whole of Huttondale.

Bricklyn (106,667 aires): Bricklyn is found on the road between Rockford and Hill Top, overlooking Bricklyn Bridge. It's one of the most expensive villages to live in due to the large houses and stunning views over the Bricklyn Valley. The village is also close to the exclusive Rockford Mine which makes it a desirable place to live.

Bridgetown (45,000 aires): The oldest village in the map, Bridgetown is also home to large detached houses with views over Jubille Bridge and Enclave Lake. There's also a large allotment are and the village is close to shopping in Treeton.

Burdon (10,033 aires): Burdon is the largest village in Huttondale and is perfect for those looking for their first house. Built by Gordinio in a valley, Burdon has two shops and a mine so everything is close by. Here you will also find the blacksmith's job and there's also easy access to the rest of Huttondale by bus.

Cottonwood (34,462 aires): A small village which currently has a JG store for anyone who stumbles upon it. It sits in between Hill Top Mine and Rockford Mine so it's actually a really good place to live.

Duxford (68,960 aires): This hamlet lies in the valley between Hutton and Bridgetown. It only consists of a handful of properties. The nearest shop is located up the hill in Hutton, where you will find a JG and an Omega.

Enclave (106,600 aires): This village has just five properties in total and it lies between Hutton and Rockford. It used to be the most expensive place to live in Huttondale but it's not anymore.

Everdale (44,000 aires): A decent sized village located in the north of the map behind Cottonwood. Home to two mines, large houses, cheap apartments, stunning views and Gordinio keeps forgetting it exists.

Everdale Valley (72,545 aires): Compromising of only ten houses, Everdale Valley is found between Cottonwood and Everdale. Amenities include a bus stop and nothing else.

Great Hucklow (24,321 aires): Formerly known as Gorsey, this village has been completely redesigned and now offers affordable houses with stunning views. There's also a village shop here for your everyday items at prices that don't make sense.

Hill Top (27,283 aires): Hill Top has been completely rebuilt because it's the least visited village by bus. It's home to the digging mine, shops, apartments and allotments.

Hutton on the Hill (28,111 aires): Based on cottages from the North Yorkshire Moors in England, this is the prettiest location in the map and every house is for sale for under 60,000 Aires. There are 7 cottages in total in the village. There's a branch of JG and also Omega nearby.

Little Hucklow (56,067 aires): Situated halfway up the hill between Great Hucklow and Pilley, this village has large, well designed houses sat around a square.

Little Sunderland (42,212 aires): Based on the traditional Sunderland Cottage (Rows of Terraced Bungalows). The Wearbridge Farm Park is located here, as are Florist Gump, Omega & Sow Corny. You'll find the village located between Hill Top, Mill Hill and Pilley.

Low Treeton (34,962 aires): A new village built just down the hill from the main mine. Has lovely views over Treeton Lake and sits below Twinlakes Bridge.

Mill Hill (18,750 aires): Located just above Little Sunderland and directly behind JG Treeton is Mill Hill. Home to a few cottages with some very good views.

Old Wearside (33,628 aires): Old Wearside is located on the road between Hill Top and Everdale, on the shores of Lake Wear with stunning views over to the Wear Bridge. There's only a few houses here but it's the location that sets it apart.

Pilley (46,794 aires): Based on actual houses, from a village that is actually called Pilley, is accessed under the highest point of Pilley Bridge. It's got a direct path to Treeton & Treeton Bridge.

Rockford (63,435 aires): This area currently compromises of a small mine, which you require Rank Supervisor or 1,000 Aires to enter, which has blocks from Dacite to Granite. There's also a JG and an Omega here.

Treeton (49,135 aires): This village currently houses the main mine and is accessed from Bridgetown via the Treeton Bridge. There are 11 houses and numerous apartments and shops. You'll probably spend most of your time here.

Treeton Bridge (99,094 aires): The area between Bridgetown is known as Treeton Bridge after the small bridge that was located there until March 2018. It's now home to JG Complex, Omega Factory and Spawn. It's kinda like the commercial hub of Huttondale.

Twinlakes (20,613 aires): Set around two lakes, rows of quaint cottages line narrow alleyways leading to the beach. Home to the points shop and the usual shops of JG and Omega.

Wearside (49,477 aires): Located below Everdale in a valley, the village is laid around one street next to the River Wear. There's a few houses and some apartments. As per usual there is a JG and an Omega. There's also the Wear Bridge Apartment complex which has some of the best views in Huttondale.

With Thanks To...

Gordinio: Gordinio has done quite fair bit including:

Managed to rename the map and I've made a Kik group for it if that's still a thing. I'll get back to scripting when I'm next on it.

It's come to my attention the map needs renaming. The current suggestions for names are Clavedale & Huttondale. I'd like something with dale in it as that's the northern term for a valley which the map has. Thoughts?

As Cravendale interferes with a popular British milk company, i have renamed the map to Huttondale. I like the name because it combines my favourite build and the word dale. Time to work through my to-do list.

You should try adding something new to your buildings. I see these on all of your maps, and they look good, don't get me wrong, but if you always add and change it up every once in a while, you will find that you like them more and more.

So your saying you like styles but not the materials?
