BRIEF HISTORY
The NBA stands for the (N)ational (B)asketball (A)ssociation. It was founded as the BAA in 1946 but soon changed to the NBA in 1949. The first NBA game (BAA at the time) to ever be played was on November 1st, 1946. It was hosted by the Toronto Huskies in Canada. The first ever team to win a NBA Championship was the Boston Celtics who now have a total of 17. (The most) There are 12 current franchises who have never won a NBA Championship uncluding, Utah Jazz, Indiana Pacers, Brooklyn Nets, Orlando Magic, and the Pheonix Suns. The next 7 have never even appeared in a Finals, Toronto Raptors, Charlotte Hornets, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, New Orlean Pelicans and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
CURRENT
The 2016-17 NBA Season started on October 25th. With the a few games. The Trailblazzers defeated the Jazz, while LeBron dropped a triple-double in the 117-88 blowout against the knicks. The final game we saw a newly considered "Super Team" get blownout on their home court 129-100 in a game where Kawhi showed Dominance with 35 points, 15/15 from the free throw line and in just 32 minutes.
