I asked for a similar thing but aparently was not easyily done as when you disable an item it essentially removes it from the game not just remove access to it.
This quote got me thinking. If the ban item function essentially removes an item or block from the game, Could this be used as a sort of way to mitigate the Block ID limit?
The way I see it, If a block is banned, You could theoretically use a different block in it's place. You could still only have 255 blocks per world, But the amount of blocks programmed into the game could be as high as you are willing to expand the texture pack.
Is this something that is feasible to be done with the game?
