I think we should be able to texture doors like we do with signs or fences. It would make secret bases easier to create or RPG maps much more in depth. Like with the upcoming circuitry, for the steel doors, if you discovered a secret cave or something to that appeal, then collect something in that cave, possibly triggering a pressure plate, a door that is disguised as that levels block type (or whatever the cave is made out of) opens and allows you to go on further with the quest. Just a thought that crossed my mind. Thanks for reading and such.  ;D

Nice idea. Maybe it could be a whole new door and you could set it to need power or not. Then you could set the texture too :)

I agree entirely. I was disappointed that it wasn't implemented into 1.8, but in the future, I'm sure that it will be. :)
