bernie sanders is ridiculously stupid. He was tweeting about how he didn't like that no body at the gop debate was talking about social issues when the topic was literally military and foreign affairs.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I thought there was no official 'theme' to GOP/Dem debates? Obviously national security was the primary focus, but that doesn't mean they can't discuss other topics as well.

Either way, this is what Sanders said about it:
Spoiler for Hidden Content:

Quote
He is complete scum in my book. Paints himself as an outside when he's been in government for 30 years.

Err.. what? I follow him on Facebook, and he makes it pretty clear he's been in politics/government for a very long time.

Quote
He just makes stuff up about "injustice" that doesn't exist or is isolated.

The stuff he talks about are very serious issues with America. Just because it doesn't have to do with bombing Muslims in the Middle East, doesn't make it any less of an issue. Unfair pay, corrupt government, poverty, homelessness, are all very real problems here in America.

Quote
He looks like he's about to die any second which as I recall was an issue with John McCain being old.

He's only 5 years older than Trump.

Quote
Anyone who says Donald trump is racist or does hate speech is just plain ignorant and can't provide any evidence to this so called "racism".

Let's hear a quote from the man himself:

"... Horrible, disgusting, absolutely incompetent deal with Iran where they get $150 billon. They're a terrorist nation."

--------------------

So you're saying trump wants to start the genocide of entire race? Wow the left sounds like a fun place for thinking.

Hitler initially proposed mass deportation and public identification of Jews. He later accepted the idea of actually exterminating them when he realized his initial proposal of mass deportation would be too expensive.

How far do you think Trump will go when he realizes deporting Muslims/Mexicans, barring Muslims from entering the US, and building a wall between the US and Mexico will be too expensive and time consuming?
You want me to give a timeframe? haha I'd have more luck predicting the end of the world.

I don't even know who to quote that xD

Unfair pay, corrupt government, poverty, homelessness, are all very real problems here in America.

-$15 minimum wage will destroy fast food chains and any other company that cant afford it. If anything it promotes big business, as they will be able top take the cut of the $8 jump, while small businesses cant afford to pay that much.

Poverty wont be fixed, nor has it ever been fixed by DIRECT government intervention. Handing millions of people a check is like handing a 4 year old a bag a candy telling them to share. Some will, most wont. They need to help businesses create job openings, support non-profit groups to help them.

Homelessness goes along with Poverty mostly.

Corrupt Government can't/won't be fixed by any other President than Trump in my belief. And before you go calling me a trump lover (not that you ever would ;)) its because all of his campaign money is being put up by himself. He answers to no other authority besides himself, which yes could be bad, but I believe he can do a good job. Anyone who handed Bernie Sanders a check has a say, which leads to corruption.

"... Horrible, disgusting, absolutely incompetent deal with Iran where they get $150 billon. They're a terrorist nation."

IRAN IS A DANGEROUS COUNTRY. They have weak leaders and have no power of their people! Now they have access to Nuclear Power and the possibility for nuclear weapons! It was a horrible, disgusting, incompetent deal with them! We have the power, we are the ones who decided to police the world for whatever damned reason, its about time we acted like we have a say in something

Trump's idea of immigration is the only one I disagree with, so I cant really defend his ideology. I believe the legalization process needs to be easier. I think we take them in, teach them English and other basic necessities for life in the States, and then tax the hell out of them like every other American. But if you think he's going to put Mexicans in Muslims in the gas chamber, then I'd ask you to stop reading MSNBC.

Excuse me if I don't respond to everything you said, trying to though

It's my understanding there has been a topic at every debate for instance the one hosted by fox buisness was economics
I looked this one up and the official topic, I think, was national security

There are real issues that he talks about but I think he synthesizes with a lot of movements that don't have quite the legitimacy to them as others

Iran is a state sponsor of terroisim, they literally chant death to America. They also already broke the deal. Plus oboma accepted this deal without having negotiating the release of three Americans, or that's what I've heard.

As far as trumps comments on Muslims, they're being compared to something completely different. In w primary election rhetoric on both sides are more extreme and calculated to win that before they become more moderate in a general election Hillary is a good example as her stance changed for the primary and she is holding back on some beliefs she has such as her being s war hawk so she can gain support from her party. I think trump said a ba on Muslims for the sake of support of very far right, but the policy will actually be a ban on Everyone from specific countries such as Syria and Iraq. And I will also include that saying he wants to ban Muslims from entering isn't racist because Islam is a religion or ideology not a race.
Same with his wall plan I think it's safe to say unless he somehow really does get Mexico to build it, he'll just upgrade the border countrol

Deporting all illegal immigrants is not a bad idea because it's racist, which it's not, but because it would cost a lot of money. There certainly needs to be an effort to deport violent illegal immigrants because there are a lot particularly in border states.

Finally, I think Nefty took care of my argument on how bad Bernie sanders is, but to be clear he is a socialist. Socialism in my opinion would be the death of the U.S.
"You see, socialism is the politics of envy. The problem isnít the unequal distribution of wealth, because honestly, why do you care if someone makes MORE money than you, as long as you have the potential to earn MORE money? Margaret Thatcher famously debunked this idiocy in her famous speech to the House of Commons in 1990Ö"- am arguenebt against socialism. I think he stresses inequality far beyond its existence. It does exist but he draws an extreme.

I ran a stop sign and knocked over two cones on my drivers test. Barely passed with an 80%. Not saying that your idea for a system like a drivers license wont work, but look how many accidents happen with that system in place anyway. Doesn't seem to work too well.
Yeah, but some form of security is better than nothing, and I think transportation is the best parallel that we have. We didn't need laws to regulate the use of motorized transportation when the country was formed, because a majority of transportation was slow and easy to avoid. No one could have guessed some day a single human could run down an entire group of people just because they aren't paying attention. When automobiles were first introduced, there were alot of deaths. People were actually talking about banning the use of them because of all the casualties. But because they started to regulate the way you can legally use them, auto deaths are much rarer(although they do happen). And cars are used everyday by everyone.

Same thing with guns. When the country was formed, who would have guessed someone could sneak an assault rifle into an event and gun down an entire crowd of people? Back then, it took minutes to reload their single shot, inaccurate rifles. And now, there are alot of people who think that guns should be completely outlawed in America. But it is stupid to punish responsible gun owners for those who are not. But if we put up a system to try to keep guns out of the hands of criminals, we can at least prevent some deaths. And hopefully create jobs too, since it would require creating a new department to regulate the laws. And probably increase the demand for firing ranges and trainers.

Because doing something is better than saying "no matter what we do, there will still be gun violence. So let's not do anything at all"
