Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I thought there was no official 'theme' to GOP/Dem debates? Obviously national security was the primary focus, but that doesn't mean they can't discuss other topics as well.
Either way, this is what Sanders said about it:
Err.. what? I follow him on Facebook, and he makes it pretty clear he's been in politics/government for a very long time.
The stuff he talks about are very serious issues with America. Just because it doesn't have to do with bombing Muslims in the Middle East, doesn't make it any less of an issue. Unfair pay, corrupt government, poverty, homelessness, are all very real problems here in America.
He's only 5 years older than Trump.
Let's hear a quote from the man himself:
"... Horrible, disgusting, absolutely incompetent deal with Iran where they get $150 billon. They're a terrorist nation."
Hitler initially proposed mass deportation and public identification of Jews. He later accepted the idea of actually exterminating them when he realized his initial proposal of mass deportation would be too expensive.
How far do you think Trump will go when he realizes deporting Muslims/Mexicans, barring Muslims from entering the US, and building a wall between the US and Mexico will be too expensive and time consuming?
Excuse me if I don't respond to everything you said, trying to though
It's my understanding there has been a topic at every debate for instance the one hosted by fox buisness was economics
I looked this one up and the official topic, I think, was national security
There are real issues that he talks about but I think he synthesizes with a lot of movements that don't have quite the legitimacy to them as others
Iran is a state sponsor of terroisim, they literally chant death to America. They also already broke the deal. Plus oboma accepted this deal without having negotiating the release of three Americans, or that's what I've heard.
As far as trumps comments on Muslims, they're being compared to something completely different. In w primary election rhetoric on both sides are more extreme and calculated to win that before they become more moderate in a general election Hillary is a good example as her stance changed for the primary and she is holding back on some beliefs she has such as her being s war hawk so she can gain support from her party. I think trump said a ba on Muslims for the sake of support of very far right, but the policy will actually be a ban on Everyone from specific countries such as Syria and Iraq. And I will also include that saying he wants to ban Muslims from entering isn't racist because Islam is a religion or ideology not a race.
Same with his wall plan I think it's safe to say unless he somehow really does get Mexico to build it, he'll just upgrade the border countrol
Deporting all illegal immigrants is not a bad idea because it's racist, which it's not, but because it would cost a lot of money. There certainly needs to be an effort to deport violent illegal immigrants because there are a lot particularly in border states.
Finally, I think Nefty took care of my argument on how bad Bernie sanders is, but to be clear he is a socialist. Socialism in my opinion would be the death of the U.S.
"You see, socialism is the politics of envy. The problem isnít the unequal distribution of wealth, because honestly, why do you care if someone makes MORE money than you, as long as you have the potential to earn MORE money? Margaret Thatcher famously debunked this idiocy in her famous speech to the House of Commons in 1990Ö"- am arguenebt against socialism. I think he stresses inequality far beyond its existence. It does exist but he draws an extreme.
