History Marks


So many times i encounter maps that don't have history marks I ask host why they don't automate mine access and stuff on that order they say "I don't know how." so I figured maybe i could help.

What are History Marks?

A history mark is a mark stuck to a gamertag or the world itself that can only be altered by host,admins and scripts.

What kinds of History Marks are there?

There are two kinds of history marks a system and a player.
System history marks can be set to make altercations in your map based upon activity. I use system history marks to lock doors with the flick of a switch. Also to allow mini games to reset without one of the parties going before they should be able to.This mark is set to the world itself.

Player based history marks are stuck to the gamertag of choice. These marks can be set to keep people in jail and not allow them to escape. They can be set to allow mine access. They can also be used to allow a one time purchase along with banking systems and much more.

How do i use a script to give and take histories?

There are four different commands for the history.
1.History [Name]
2.History [Name] [Player]
3.History [Name] [decrease|clear]
4.History [Name] [decrease|clear] [Player]

1.This one is used to set a system history.
2.This is used to set a player history.
3.This one is used to decrease or clear a system history.
4.This is used to decrease or clear a player history.

Why can i decrease a history?

When Recalling if the system or player has a history it can be called upon in numbers.
If you would make 3 lines of History [name] thus looking like this.
history [name]
history [name]
history [name]
this gives the system 3 counts of the history name.
Now if i use the line with decrease
History [Name] [decrease]
Now the history name will only have 2 counts.
if you use clear it deletes that history mark no matter what the count.

How do i recall a history mark?

There are 2 has history command presets both calling player history they can be changed to system history though.
1.hashistory [name] [player] [true|false]
2.hashistory [name] [player] [compare] [count]
Now if you want to recall them as a system just simply remove the bracket with player in it thus looking like this.
1.hashistory [name] [true|false]
2.hashistory [name] [compare] [count]

When recalling you need a if statement e.x.
if
hashistory [name] [player] [true|false] or hashistory [name] [player] [compare] [count]
then
*Insert the actions you want to perform*

How do i fill in the recalling?

hashistory [name] [player] [true|false]
The [name] in the brackets type the name of the history you are looking for.
The [player] should be removed only if trying to recall a system history otherwise left alone
The [True|False] if only false is left there then the actions will be performed if the history in the location you are looking is not there if true is left it performs the actions if the history is there.

hashistory [name] [player] [compare] [count]
The [name] in the brackets type the name of the history you are looking for.
The [player] should be removed only if trying to recall a system history otherwise left alone
The [compare] bracket is changed to one of the following [>,<,>=,<=,=,!=]
> this means greater than the count
>= this means greater than or equal to the count
< this means less than the count
<= this means less than or equal to the count
= this means equal to the count
!= this means not equal to the count
the [count] this is the amount of the history you are comparing to the player
e.x.
if
hashistory [name] [player] [=] [5]
then
Notify [You have five counts of the history name] [local]
this is saying if the person has 5 history counts of name to notify them of the history.
