Typical Blaze inconsistency, first it states that Putin "was ready to bring its nuclear weapons into a state of alert", then later it states that Putin said "the country was “ready” to use nuclear weapons". They clearly are not the same thing.
Agy:...............they are nto the same thing because VLADIMIR PUTIN SAID 2 diffren tthings. but your blaming blaze for this bevcuse why?
"Russia was ready to bring its nuclear weapons into a state of alert during last year’s tensions over the Crimean Peninsula and the overthrow of Ukraine’s president, a still-missing President VLADIMIR PUTIN SAID in remarks aired on Sunday.
"In the documentary, which marks a year since the referendum, PUTIN SAYS of the nuclear preparedness, “We were ready to do this … [Crimea] is our historical territory. Russian people live there. They were in danger. We cannot abandon them.”"
Craig: The way this poorly written article is written suggests Putin said "we were ready to do this..." in regards to bringing a state of alert, not "to use nuclear weapons". Ambiguous writing.
Agy: its quoting pution directly form the documentaery, its not to do with any forum of writing. if it sounds funny then that's on pution, not the article.
There's also quite a bit of misinformation in this article. For example, before the annexation, there was practically zero separatist sentiment, because everybody there was happy enough with the status quo. Only after Russia invaded and held an illegal referendum with the 'virtual gun to the head if you vote against us' tactic, did the sentiment appear, not hard to understand why.
Agy: bull. the separatist voted in a pro Russian leader before it all happened. that lead to the big roits and sit in they had, witch lead to the current war. where were you? heck we had fights about this as it happened XD
Craig: No the referendum happened after the annexation, it even mentions that in the article.
Agy: now I am the one misunderstanding what your writing ^_^, I read what you wrote wrong, my appaolgies. i thought you were saying there was zero support for Russia before Russia openly steped in and i was like craigs cra cra XD, but i am the one whos cra cra ^_^
Also it states that Russia was in a state of alarm after Maidan, that's implying all of the Russian people, which is also rubbish, only the Kremlin was alarmed.
Agy: ok now your just reaching............and messing with the English language.
Agy: I wouldn't be so quick to call the kettle black when it comes to the English language after some of your comments in this post.
Agy: yea its about time you stuck to the issues as you so put it when your yelling at me ;D
Craig: I'm not reaching, this is supposed to be a professional article of journalism, the writing needs to be accurate and concise with no ambiguity. A totally different thing to some people writing quick posts on a gaming forum. If they can't remove ambiguity, ambiguity that creates all kinds of incorrect implications and assumptions, and if they can't use a spell checker, then they should change careers and stop destroying the profession of journalism.
Agy: well now when you bunch up all of my comments like that with out your repsoneses I was repsonind to they yea it looks bad XD
when they said Russia, I kenw instinctavly they met the government and such. I don't understand how you got "its the Russia people" form it? unless I am reading a different part then you?
I don't think he wants the old Soviet Union back, but he does want a buffer of influence between Russian borders and Western borders.
Agy: me thinks you gravely underestimate what Russia wants.
Craig: I agree to disagree.
Agy: yea you would peacfuly disengage like that woudlent you!
My point has finally been made ^_^ (viva la Agy!)
Under construction ^_^! (probably something spring/Doom Bee related XD) ^_^
