As you are sitting down on your couch one day, all cozy in a warm blanket with hot chocolate on a cold winter night , you then suddenly hear a noise that makes a chill go up your spine, your mother is calling you from upstairs (Not heaven you derp) You shout 'Coming Mom!' and start to stand up when you hear her voice again, but from the basement. Which one do you go to? You then realize that your mother has been dead for over 6 years, so how would she or this being be contacting you?
You start to inch towards the stairs to the top floor, bringing a baseball bat with you incase things go sideways, you're breathing extremely heavily, you are violently sweating, and your heart seems like it is going to fly out of your chest. You are at the top of the stairs now, you are approached by your fairly large hallway, the sounds are getting more and more frequent, and no, you are not going insane.
Suddenly, you feel as if something is behind you, you quickly turn around in shock to see... nothing. Their was nothing there, or was it? Your hands are rapidly shaking, barely holding the baseball bat with a loosened grip. You are now at the door where you are hearing the noises, you kick open the door with the baseball bat ready to swing, nothing is in the room, besides a small dresser. You think to yourself 'open the dresser' you inch towards the dresser, closer...and closer... you open the door, and... nothing is in there besides some old coats and jackets. At that direct moment you hear something running across the floor behind you, you instantaniously turn around, nothing there. At this point you think you are going insane, those stories are really getting to you, aren't they?
You walk out of the room and back downstairs, you go on your computer to help calm yourself. The Internet is down, just perfect. All of your connections to communication are gone, your phone is dead, no internet, at that moment your power goes out. You quickly grab the baseball bat where you placed it earlier. You hear floorboards creaking , sounding like something is lurking up the basement steps. You grab a flashlight, after all, it is the middle of the night with almost no source of light besides a portable light for the next six or so hours. You turn on the flashlight and walk into your kitchen, pointing your flashlight at the basement door.
After 10 minutes or so you start to walk away, you see a shadow fly across the room, you swing but hit your wall and left a fairly large dent in it. The basement door suddenly swings open, a being runs out, Large sharp teeth, glowing red eyes, furry body, and dagger-like nails. It comes bursting at you, as soon as it gets close enough to hit you take a quick burst at its head, you can hear the skull cracking as you hit it several times. It gets back up like its nothing, it continues to run towards you further more. You grab a fairly large block of wood and smash your window, you then jump out your window and land on your terrace covered in glass.
You get several peices lodged into your leg, but the adrenaline made you feel no pain at all. Quickly getting up, you start darting towards the street, hoping someone will see you or the creature, and call for help. The creatures jumps out of your window and runs towards you, running faster than you ever could, you are going to tire out quickly. You continue to run like this for several blocks until you find the small forest near your local park, thinking you are in the safe-zone it grabs your leg with a swift scratch and you come crashing down, your head hits a rock and you pass out.
You wake up the next morning on a small beach, checking your body for damages, the only thing that was on you marked was your head, and your legs. As if the creature didn't even harm you. You get up, and start walking through the forest again. After 30 Minutes of walking, you finally reach your house. You open the door with your keys that you had in your back pocket the entire time, and you see something that made your stomach drop to your legs, The words "Miss Me?" were written on the wall in a crimson red residue, blood. You then hear your mother call you again, here we go again.
