Transmitters - Receivers

Transmitter:

The Transmitter block will emit a 'power On' signal to all Receiver blocks in its range when it is powered On by another source;
(A button, switch, pressure plate, opened chest, receiver or script)

Press Y then A to enter the setup for a Transmitter.

Here you can set the Output Frequency & the texture of the block.

Frequency:

Use the D-pad & A to enter which frequency you wish to use.

Receiver:

The Receiver block will output a power On signal to its adjacent blocks when it receives a power On signal from a Transmitter in its range & of the same frequency.

Press Y then A to enter the setup for a Receiver.

Here you can set Input Frequencies which the Receiver will react to, & choose which Logic Gate to use.

Logic Gates

The are 6 different boolean operations to choose from for the Logic Gate:

OR, AND, NOR, NAND, XOR, XNOR

Explained below, & here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Truth_table

You do not have to use both frequencies or the Logic Gate. You can set the Logic Gate to None, and either of the Frequencies to zero (disabled), and the Receiver will deliver power if it receives a signal from any of the enabled (greater than zero) frequencies. At least one Frequency must be enabled for the Receiver to deliver power.

OR:
The "or" operator produces a result of On whenever one or more of its operands are On.
Example:  If either frequency is received power will be emitted.
-A OR B for power

AND:
The "and" operator produces a result of On when both of its operands are On, otherwise it will be Off.
Example:  If both frequencies are received it will emit power. If either frequency is not received, no power will be emitted.
-A And B for power

NOR:
The "nor" operator produces a result of Off unless both of its operands are Off.
Example:  If neither frequency is received it will emit power.
-Neither A nor B for power

NAND:
The "nand" operator produces a result of On unless both of its operands are On.
Example:  If both frequencies are received it will not emit power. If either frequency is not received power will be emitted.

XOR:
The "xor" operator produces a result of Off if both of its operands are equal.
Example:  If one frequency is received but the other isn't, power will be emitted. If both frequencies are received (or both aren't) no power will be emitted.

XNOR:
The "xnor" operator produces a result of On if both of its operands are equal.
Example:  If both frequencies are received (or neither are) power will be emitted. If one frequency is received but the other is one isn't, no power will be emitted.

example 1:
Frequency 1 = 50
Frequency 2 = Disabled
Logic Gate = None
The Receiver will deliver power if it has received a power On signal on Frequency 50.

example 2:
Frequency 1 = 50
Frequency 2 = 51
Logic Gate = None
The Receiver will deliver power if it has received a power On signal on either Frequency 50 or 51.
A Logic Gate of OR will have the same result.

example 3:
Frequency 1 = 50
Frequency 2 = 51
Logic Gate = AND
The Receiver will deliver power if it has received a power On signal from both Frequency 50 and 51.

example 4:
Frequency 1 = 50
Frequency 2 = 51
Logic Gate = NOR
The Receiver will deliver power if it does not receive a power On signal from both Frequency 50 and 51.

example 5:
Frequency 1 = 50
Frequency 2 = 51
Logic Gate = NAND
The Receiver will deliver power if it does not receive a power On signal from either Frequency 50 or 51.

example 6:
Frequency 1 = 50
Frequency 2 = 51
Logic Gate = XOR
The Receiver will deliver power if it has received a power On signal from one frequency but not the other.

example 7:
Frequency 1 = 50
Frequency 2 = 51
Logic Gate = XNOR
The Receiver will deliver power if it has received a power On or power Off signal from both Frequency 50 and 51.

No, nor is their a way to increase it for the reciever.
