Wish I had seen this sooner. Yep. That's pretty much it.

Right now it's offset in la la land. But I'll figure out how to move it.

It allows you to target multiple remote views or mobs. It's a mechanic. I'm thinking I you change the sin:z to y, you might be able to make working catapults.

If you multiply the (x) variable and the (z) variable by negative 1 you can make a half circle.

And instead of sin:x try using sin:z

Var [a] = [1]

Var [z] = [view:z] + [pos:z]
Var [y] = [pos:y] + [1]
Var (x] = [view:x] + [pos:x]

Var [x2] = 2 * [cos:x] * [radius]
Var [z2] = 2 * [sin:x] * [radius]

If
Isvar
Then
Script [orbs] [vars:x2,y,z2]
Loop

Orbs script

Var [x2] [y] [z2]

Instersect sphere [x2,y,z2] [.5] [display]

You can use various mathematical formulae to make other shapes. Just change the a variable. Would be my guess.

Here was my solution.

Var [A] = [A] + [1]

var (x) = [view:x] * [A] + [pos:x]
var [z] = [view:z] * [A] + [pos:z]
Var [y] = [pos:y]

If
IsVar [A] [<] [however many squares]
Then
Script [Targetting] [wait] [vars:x,y,z]
Loop [5]

The Targetting script

Var (x) [y] [z]

If
Intersect [sphere] [x,y,z]
Then
Do spell effect.

This^ won't work, the history is a good ide, but the intersect command only grabs the closest target, so you will keep getting the same player. Trying to come up with a better way of doing it.

Course the downside is that they wouldn't be able to jump out...

Do a cloud block with sand texture. Place a zone that affects gravity and speed. Good idea btw.
