Currently, the game can only use at-most 1 GB of memory. Maybe later whenevr the game is upgraded to 64-bit.

isn't that what Craig is doing in the PC port? Because he did mention that at most TM can only get 1 GB of RAM

Ideas / Adjustable amount of RAM to allocate to TM:F PC
« on: November 28, 2016, 04:12:16 PM »
Since my last idea (TMF PC free for xbox users) didn't fly so well, I thought i would throw another idea out... make an adjustable RAM allocated to the game. You should be simple to add because lots of other games make use of this. Because don't forget about the gamers like me who can easily throw 5 - 24 GB of RAM (IDK why a game would need that much, but it CAN help against memory leaks) at a game (My rig has 32 GB with 31 available) because I do it for a lot of my games, like Minecraft, Garry's Mod, and a couple other games.

Ideas / Re: LCD Screen Block
« on: November 28, 2016, 01:53:40 PM »
An idea i have to combat the lag that would be caused by the LCDs is that you could make it where you have to power it, or hit it. If powering it is easier, then you can use a button and when you turn it on, it will remain on for the entire duration of the video. If hitting it is easier (which I think it is), then you can make it where only people with Creative or Admin can break it, so players can't accidentally break the LCD panel. But good idea Dryym, +1.

Ideas / Re: Smaller Build Ability

I feel that this idea has merit, provided that we have the proper coding in place... however, when PC does get released, If i read a post right, TM:F will have mod support. Especially in the form of Custom Items... but someone may be able (or i may be able) to write a mod that allows you to place things that ARE NOT snapped to a singular grid, using a menu you can select if you want to have blocks snap to a exact coordinate (111,222,333) or be placeable in 10ths (216.5,219.8,123.1) or in 100ths (91.67,231.11,729.93). So IF mod support is going to be added, then we WILL be able to have stuff like this, provided someone makes a mod for it.

Ideas / Re: TM:F PC release free for TM:F Xbox 360 users

Oh my god Craig responded to the post. I thought it was a good idea but I did say that I didn't know how well it would fly... The reason I thought it was a good idea is that there was a game I played long ago (about one year ago and it was Civ 5 for PS3) that if you had it on Xbox or PS you could sign into steam and receive a free copy on their steam account, but you could only link it to one account. Which I thought was neat, and besides the game was uber popular at the time...

I'm not sure how long this idea would fly but, make it to where people who have Total Miner on the 360 will get a code on the menu screen to get Total Miner on Steam for free, and like CastleMiner Z where if you have NOT bought it it displays something like <Unlock full version to reveal a code>. Where I am coming from this is I remember an older game that if you had it on Xbox 360, you were able to get it on steam. So I thought this is a good idea. Ok critics, have at it on this post! ;)

Ideas / Re: if chat
« on: September 27, 2016, 08:39:40 AM »
So basically like this?

If
HasChatted [player|admin] [message]
Then
<Insert code here>
Elseif
HasChatted [player|admin] [message]
Then
<more code here>
...

I added the [player|admin] parameter because im pretty sure you dont want people running around using chat commands to give them god mode without being admin.

Ideas / Re: Treasure items
« on: March 07, 2016, 04:35:55 PM »
Better yet: Make them placeable. That away, we can display the treasure items we have. Sort of like a Trophy Base from ARK where we can display the artifacts just to add to the adventure feeling.
