Creative Features / Using relative coordinates with menus.

I'm trying to create a script where the player presses a button, a menu pops up and they choose a colour. It then places that coloured block next to them. Here's what i'm using:

Menu script:

Code: [Select]
Menu [[Black][colours\black]] [[White][colours\white]]
Colours script:

Code: [Select]
SetBlock [rel:0,0,1] [black]
The white block script is the same but with the respective parts and script name changed.

The menu opens fine but no blocks are placed when selecting the colour. I'm guessing it's because relative coordinates only work next to the script block and as the SetBlock scripts are not running from a script block but a menu it's not placing them.

I can't use normal coordinates as i want to have a lot of these so using the relative coordinates would be ideal.

Just wanted to see if anyone has any ideas or suggestions?

Ideas / Clear particles / Reduce lag.

Add more options for clearing particles/pickups.

Have it as a setting on a zone like the gravity and speed multiplier where you can set it to clear the particles in that zone every 10 seconds, 1 minute etc... This would be good for those that have mineable areas for players and don't want lag from players not picking up what they break.

Maybe also have it as a script command?

Or a setting on the menu for it to clear them every 10 seconds, 1 minute etc...

I've looked at and tried all the aux commands etc... but just can't seem to get such a simple thing to work.

Is there anyway to set the orientation of a sign when copying it?

I'm wanting to copy a sign and its text, using a script, to another location. If the sign being copied is on a north facing wall and i copy it to a north facing wall then it all works fine.

But copying it a wall which is facing any other direction than the one it's being copied from results in the sign hovering in mid air.

So, there's my question. In the script is there anyway to set the orientation of the sign? (i know you can when using SetBlock but i'm wanting to use CopyBlock.)

I'm wanting to randomnly spawn passive mobs but only in a certain area.

I've tried creating a mobs on zone within a mobs off zone (similar to how the edit zone within a no edit zone works) but with no luck.

Combat is on.
Natural Mobs are set to passive only.
Game difficulty is easy.

Is it possible to do it the same as how edit zones work (as mentioned above)? and maybe i've missed a setting?

I'd like to avoid using mob spawners or mob spawn scripts if possible.

I'm seeing news for other platforms but nothing for the Xbox 360.

The last news on the 360 updates is from the 15th December where Craig said it only needed submitting.

I'm not impatient. If the update takes 6 months then so be it. My question is; Will there be anymore updates for the 360? or will the game be staying as it is?

An option on locked doors and chests to set the owner. Similar to how setting a builder on a zone works.

When equipping armour there are 7 slots but i've only ever used 6, leaving the left hand side single slot empty.

Creative Features / Using SetText with books. Multiple lines.

Ok, I have a script that when ran adds the players gamertag to a book:

SetText [x,y,z] [[gamertag]] [3]

And this works fine but i'm wanting multiple players to be able to use it so the book would look like:



At the moment it just overwrites the existing first line.

Is there anyway to specify what line it's written to? Ideally adding it after any existing text so then [[gamertag]_] could be used to put it on a new line.

I'm trying to remove fog from an area when it shows up and the closest script i've found is the default one:

Fog [x,z] [delete]

Now obviously this has the co-ordinates and action but how do you specify a radius? Do you just add it yourself? or is it set automatically to a certain block amount?

Also, not sure if it's a bug or not but surely fog shouldnt appear inside buildings?

So far i have:

But that seems to only add it to my own inventory. How would i make it so it adds it to everyones?

Yep, you were expecting me to moan about there absence but i'm not. When it's working and ready i'm sure we'll see them.

I do have 2 questions regarding them though.

I've already confirmed that existing FLAT worlds will be able to become infinite worlds. Does this apply to Natural Flat worlds? Or just worlds using a single block as there ground block?

How will the co-ordinates work? I'm guessing they will go into the negatives when going South or East past zero?

If that's the case then would i right in saying that all blocks, scripts and zones would retain there existing co-ordinates?

Ok, so i have a feeling this is purely lag and unavoidable but when i have a script to paste a component which closes some gates some people still see them as open and are able to walk right through. others can't.

Same thing in reverse. when using the script to paste the open gates some people still see them as closed and are blocked by them.

In each case that person leaving and rejoining fixes it for them.

As i said. i'm assuming it's lag and unavoidable but does anyone have any suggestions?
