Clans & Friend Requests / Programmers/Coders
« on: June 17, 2015, 10:56:10 PM »

LINK.

Programmers/Coders is a forum group that is open to anyone who is interested in coding or programming. You can also post in the group if you need help with anything programming/coding related. In the future (this Summer) I plan on hosting a "Codeathon" where we can stream our work on projects and give updates on progress, while receiving help from other programmers/coders. So, if you even remotely interested in the art of code, feel free to join in!

All photos submitted will give credit to the build's author. If you would like a photo of your build to be removed, please  DM the account or PM on the forums.

Without further ado, I give you @totalminer. Please follow and share with anyone who may be interested in TMF. Enjoy!

Gaming / Steam - Paid Mods
« on: April 26, 2015, 03:21:24 PM »
So Valve recently introduced the testing of "paid mods" for Bethesda's game Skyrim. Basically, mod developers can upload their work to the Steam workshop, and optionally they can charge users to download their mod. There are many reasons that this is controversial, such as the revenue split, which is 30:45:25 (Valve:Bethesda:Modder). So the mod developer is only receiving 25% of the revenue from the content he is selling. That means he/she would have to price their mod at about $4.00 just to earn $1.00.

There's some more info on the issue here.

Now, this is a question to Craig: When TMF arrives on Steam, will you allow paid mods, and what are your thoughts on this? The community mostly seems to dislike this idea, and has been spamming paid mod discussion pages. In my personal opinion, I don't think it's all that bad of an idea. I think it's cool that the modders are able to be compensated at all for their work, but the revenue split needs some serious adjusting. Decent idea, but poor execution, Valve.

What is your guys' opinion on this? Would you pay to download mods for TMF, or charge other players for mods?

This project took me about a week from start to finish (I had schoolwork to do and family to hang out with). Overall, I'm very happy with the way it came out, considering this is my first project. I hope you guys like it :)

General Discussion / AutoTipe (Automatic Typing Program).
« on: March 08, 2015, 01:46:51 AM »
AutoTipe is a very simple auto typing program I made for a friend. This program can type at over 500+ WPM with 100% accuracy. It's a fun program to use if you want to mess around with your friends.

The most I've gotten out of it is about 4,500 WPM with 100% accuracy. Try it and see how high  of a WPM you can get. For best results format the text as shown in instructions. May not be compatible with some websites. If you want to try it out a good website is Typing.com

INSTRUCTIONS:

Copy and paste the text you'd like automatically typed. For best results, do not indent any lines. Format as shown. Click the "Type It" button, follow the instructions in the messagebox that appears then wait a few seconds.

Wait a few seconds then get your results!

Please tell me about any errors.

Gaming / Arcade Tycoon (WIP Game).
« on: January 15, 2015, 09:09:12 PM »
Hey there, folks. I've been seeing some of these threads lately with people showing off their games that they've been developing, and I thought I might tell you a bit about mine.

Arcade Tycoon is planned to be a strategy sim game in which you get to start and manage your very own arcade. It's planned to have features such as custom payouts, machine/game customization, and random events (such as blackouts that cause your arcade to lose profit).

TL;DR

Type: Strategy/sim.
Platforms: PC.
