Total Miner Discussion / [Game] Re: Make total miner open source

i have high doubts the Epic Games store would also want to pick up Total Miner if it went open source. just saying

Why are you bringing Epic Games into this? So random... randomness like this annoys me, seriously what made you think that anyone desires for Total Miner to be picked up by Epic Games. For the longest time, the community has simply wanted access to the game on PC and multiplayer, where did you get the idea that mentioning Epic Games would help any of us, or even think it's worthy of mentioning, seriously explain the thought process behind why you mentioned Epic Games. I really want to know why, because it is one of the most random things you could have brought up. Explain, or pay for your crimes against ... and it's people.

Currently I am sitting A-Level Art alongside my other A-levels. Within Art I get to draw my friends as realistic as possible, using pencil. Quite recently I noticed a really cute girl within one of my classes, I can barely bring myself to speak to her so I thought I'll just ask to draw her so that we can have something to talk about. Some time later, after class I saw her, I caught up to her and very awkwardly asked her if I could draw her, she shouted at me "no". An embarrassingly painful experience which permanently changed me. Finding out that the game I've played since I was eleven years old (am now eighteen) is becoming abandon-ware, hurts me, just as much as that girl shouting "no" at me, having to let go of all those memories of "cobblestone city", my parkour map, and my mining map, 7 whole years of just memories, gone, in an instant. Furthermore not being able to ever play this game with my friends, hurts even more. I love this game, I love the people I played it with and the people I met.

I hope you can understand why I want this game to become open-source.

Game Edition : (Retail)

(Likes)
1: There are now monsters within the caves for Dig Deep
2: The many different supports for resolutions
3: Mod support and creation
4: All of the music is great to listen to when playing
5: The rare items are so exciting to get

(Dislikes)
1: No multiplayer.
2: Nearly all the skins are already unlocked
3: Mouse movement, in-game it feels off and weird. It's a different sensitivity to in-game and interfaces.
4: So many of the blueprints I find in Dig Deep are "Gold Pieces"
5: Unable to rotate a clipboard.
6: The lack of information about new updates before they come out
7: The Fact that when binding certain controls, such as noclip, it must include a special key. I would like to be able to not have to bind noclip to two keys.

I know this post is pretty old I just wanna put my opinion where hopefully someone will see it and it'll make a positive change, thanks for reading and hopes this helps.

Total Miner Discussion / [Game] Re: Six Years of Total Miner!
« on: July 29, 2018, 04:28:19 PM »
Hello,

Today is the sixth year anniversary of TM being released. Without it, I would need never have discovered the joys of sandstone and sand brick.

Um, share your memories here!

I remember finding this game on the marketplace downloading the demo and playing it over and over again. Once I built a wooden room with a bed inside and then the second time the whole world was green and I had dug a staircase into the ground and built a... bedroom again. lol.

where can i find the mod?

This video helped me and my friend install and play together
...
For about 5 minutes, the multiplayer mod does not feature anything
functional as of yet, due to the game not being able to support multiplayer.

@AlienizdPixel

Something early would have been a year ago or when the release date was specified, first or second quarter, any release now is just considered late.

Don't bother asking or requesting for alpha builds we'll never get any kind of Total Miner information, builds or access just don't bother.
