With the lack of updates recently I've been growing more surious of how TM pc will look and be. I've gathered a few questions together that have recently been on my mind in the hope that I'll get an answer. Thanks in advance.

> Will there be a demo for PC like there was on Xbox 360?
> Will there be a way to use the texting feature without going into the start menu, e.g. A hot key?
> Will there be any fees for the multiplayer aspect of TM PC?
> It there's a large sum of people buying the game, would the price increase?
> Should we expect any 'easter eggs' for TM PC?

Hi,

I just wanted to say happy birthday to one of the best mods around! Happy birthday Jim, I hope you have a good'n /bdaycake

Jim's been around for a while now and he's a great person; he's funny and generally just makes everyone happy. He's been a massive help keeping the forums as well as the Discord chat in peace and I'm sure he'll continue that for a long time.

You're the big 1-8 now Jim, congrats!

Hi,

It'd be pretty cool to see a script much like the Frost Walker enchantment in Minecraft. If you're not familiar, it basically puts ice under your feet when you walk on water. After about five seconds the ice starts melting and it looks really cool :D

Anyway, you can do that if you want and make it look real awesome lol.

Another thing that would be cool is a proper weather system.

If it's cold, some blocks around you grow snow layer ontop of them and if it keeps cold they'll eventually turn to snow and furthermore turn to ice (which is a random chance of happening.)

If it's warm then it does the opposite, it replaces some blocks with half slabs textured as the block it was before (not sure if this is possible..) and eventually that melts.

I think that'd be pretty awesome to see.

To be honest, pretty much every PC / Phone / Tablet or whatever you access TotalMinerForums on has auto correct already installed. If I were you then I'd take a look at that. If you're device doesn't have that them I'm sure you could find an app or software that'd do the job for you. If worst comes to worst and you find nothing - we have a spell check button.

The pad bit would be pretty easy. The pad would be a textured pressure plate with a script block underneath.

Spoiler for script:
Here's the script to play when the player steps on the pad:

History [player] [stage] [+1]

And here's the one to play when they die

If
HasHistory [player] [stage] [=] [1]
Then
Teleport [x,y,z]
Elseif
HasHistory [player] [stage] [=] [2]
...

Also, speed and low gravity can be done in zones.

I had a go at doing this script, however there are a few things that I don't quite understand.

[stage] does the stage number go here? Should this be the name of the script so it knows which stage you're on?

Just leave it as it is. No need to change script names or add in numbers.
[=] is it just the equals sign that goes here?

[1] what does this represent?
This represents stage 1. 2 would represent stage 2 etc.


From what I understand, I have to set this as event driven script 'player dies' but I tried making the script exactly as you did but it told me that there was a possible undeclared variable. How exactly do I get this script to work, and teleport players to that stage that they reached when they die?

If you typed the script exactly as I did then it should work fine. If you get a possibly undeclared variable error then just ignore it because I'm fairly certain that the script will still run as we want it to.

As Hayden said, you missed off the +1. I'd also try putting it before the notify command as I find that to work a little smoother.

Incorrect. You don't need the double brackets for any of them.

No, but you can run scripts for a player. If you just put all the scripts into one folder so that you know where they are, it'll be easy to manually assign the scripts to that player.

You can do this by going to the create menu >> scripts >> run script for player.

I think you're referring to this. I believe Craig wanted to do this a while back, but I don't know wether that's still an idea or wether he has forgotten about it seeing as I haven't heard a lot about it.
