Ideas / Conditional Ideas
« on: October 28, 2014, 01:14:01 PM »
Yep, another idea, this time it is script related :p

These ideas are about a new conditional.
The first idea is about a new "Or"-conditional, it is placed after an "If"-statement and will cause the "Then"-command(s) to execute if any of the specified queries are true.. I'm not that great at explaining so here's an example:

Spoiler for Hidden Content:
If
HasInventory [player] [titaniumbattleaxe] [true]
Or
HasInventory [player] [titaniumsword] [true]
Or
HasInventory [player] [titaniumkatana] [true]
Or
HasInventory [player] [battleaxe] [true]
Or
HasInventory [player] [elvenbow] [true]
Then
History [player] [highlvlgear]

This will add a history mark to a player if they have any of these high-tier-weapons.

Second idea is about a different way that could accomplish the same but can't do a few certain things, but would be more convenient in most cases. I'm thinking maybe an "IfAny" command, with that, the same script would look like this:

Spoiler for Hidden Content:
IfAny
HasInventory [player] [titaniumbattleaxe] [true]
HasInventory [player] [titaniumsword] [true]
HasInventory [player] [titaniumkatana] [true]
HasInventory [player] [battleaxe] [true]
HasInventory [player] [elvenbow] [true]
Then
History [player] [highlvlgear]

The downside with this is that only one statement could be made, for example with "IfAny" you couldn't do something like this..
Spoiler for Hidden Content:
If
HasInventory [player] [battleaxe] [true]
HasInventory [player] [shieldbadge] [true]
Or
HasInventory [player] [elvenbow] [true]
HasInventory [player] [titaniumarrow] [true]
Then
...
..which would be possible with "Or".

Anyway, this is my idea, feedback is appreciated.
Also, please tell me which option you would prefer, I'm currently leaning towards "Or", because of the aforementioned downside with "IfAny".

Thanks for reading

EDIT:
Note: I'm fully aware that this is currently possible with use of elseif, but that is very long-winded and this idea is mainly for convenience :)

Ideas / Natural Health Regeneration Delay.
« on: October 27, 2014, 01:39:38 PM »
This idea is pretty simple:

I think health should not naturally regenerate for a couple seconds after taking any form of damage, for example when engaged in combat, when recovering from a long fall etc..
The delay should be around 5-7 sec in my opinion.

Ideas / Combat and Total levels for HasSkill command.
« on: October 27, 2014, 12:25:22 PM »
Currently you can't use the HasSkill command to check for players combat or total levels (haven't tested total levels but I imagine it'd be the same) and my idea is about the ability to do so. It would be pretty useful, you could, for example, have a quest with different difficulties based on peoples combat levels etc..

This is pretty self explanatory, there is nothing more to say about it. Potato.

Questions and Answers / Capital letters in map search
« on: August 05, 2014, 02:15:15 AM »
I have never noticed this until today, but when using "Join a game" over Xbox Live, the gamertags of people whose maps you have joined before appear in capital letters only.

Is this intentional, and if it is, what is the reason for this?

Creative Features / Max hit with fist
« on: July 29, 2014, 04:27:03 AM »
I've been wondering for a while whether or not it's possible to get a max hit of 3 damage with my fists when skills are on?
I've had a max hit of 2 for a while now and I'd really like to know if such a drastic increase in damage is possible if I level up my strength skill more.
If anyone knows, I'd love to hear your answer :)

Ideas / Damage Resistance
« on: June 07, 2014, 06:21:51 PM »
Not often do I come up with an idea worth posting, but I think this time I did :)

"Damage resistance" would be an additional setting for mob spawners, allowing map owners to set the spawned mob's resistance to different types of damage.
The resistances would be displayed in percentages, which would range from 100% (normal damage) to 1000% (10% damage), although there would be an option for no damage at all.
The types of damage, whose effectiveness could be modified, are:

Melee (Including swords, spears, katanas, battle axes, etc...)
Ranged (Bows)
Explosive (TNT, C4, Grenades, boom arrows)
Environmental (Fall damage, lava, spikes*, drowning)
.....Oh and of course, MAGIC.

* =Only no-damage setting would apply

This idea would provide (near) endless possibilities for map makers of all sorts, and would especially be great for RPGs.
A prime example would be an intense melee boss fight, with the mob resisting any type of ranged/magic by 1000%, forcing the player to jump into the battle with nothing, but his rusty iron sword, and his already used, brittle wooden shield... ::)

What do you think? :D

Gaming / Trials Fusion
« on: April 19, 2014, 07:27:46 PM »
Trials Fusion is a racing game created by RedLynx. The goal of it is basically to get to the finish line with as few faults and as fast as possible on a motorcycle/4-wheeler.
In addition to that, players can, with the built-in Track-editor, create their own tracks, which they can then share with the world! There is no online multiplayer yet, but it will be released soon. Until then, players have to be on the same console to play together.
The game is available on: Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Yeah, talk about Trials Fusion in this topic, maybe add each other if you have the game to play some time, compare your best times, share your editor creations with the TM-community or just talk about anything related to Trials Fusion XD
