Questions and Answers / [Unanswered] Questions About Multiplayer Servers

Now that TM is on PC it can load things much faster, and compute larger files. In this, when multiplayer launches will it be like it was on the 360 how its so seamless to pick from many servers in front of you? Adding to this, will the cap for the amount of players be increased? Would you be able to look at the bottom left and see say 50, or even maybe 150 players be possible? Or would functionality issues start to occur.

When you change a marker using scripts does it change locally or for the entire map?
So say when some one is in a certain place it only shows the following markers and when they leave it deletes the marker. is this possible?

Ideas / Wood Bracing Change

Instead of having the bracing face only one way change it so its looks like an X instead of a / so that it looks better on most houses. Also if you could remove the metal plating on the corners of the bracing that would also make it look a lot more medival.

Ideas / Applying [Gamertag] to zone names

I'm going to start off with the idea and how this could be used to make a seamless Plot Map.
The tweak would be that you can change a zone name in a script to a Gamertag simply by putting [Gamertag] Into the brackets.

This wouldn't have any repeating zones, you could also make a bank that stores items.

Ideas / Decal Applicator Additions

I think it would be awesome if you could put decals on objects like glass, invisible barriers, and fire, I think that this would be great because the mesh decal looks amazing as a cage to put in font of a fire place and mesh also looks great as a window. It's would also be great if the decal you select would only show on the side of the block you placed it on other than placing the decal on all sides.

Ideas / A Bunch of Extra Small Additions

Decal Applicator: This block adds a bunch of different designs and graphics to a block, some of the blocks include;
1. Tudor wall - this texture will have a Tudor look to it and different combinations of designs. This can be useful for medieval type buildings. (very useful)
2. Banner - This texture will be a 1 x 2 x 1 design it will hang on a wall such as a ladder, you can set the look by changing the texture of it by pushing Y > A on the block.
2. Chain - This block work like a rope but with a different texture..
3. Bottle - This block will be a bottle and come with 3 changeable textures.
4. Candle - This will be a normal candle and also emit light.
5. Bird - This block will be a animated bird of three choices; a Crow, a Sparrow, and a Robin (this would be really cool to see in the game)
6 Fly's - This block will be animated fly's to appear as if the blocks or environment around it is dirty or rotten
(All of these could be a whole new block on its own, I just think that it would make things more organized)

Armor Rack: This block adds a 1 x 2 x 1 armor stand that can equip and display any armor that has been placed on it

Anvil : This block adds a normal 1 x 1 x 1 block that can make a weapon or armor better by simply combining two of the same items together. Also if you are in creative mode you can change the attack rating to what ever you want or even rename the weapon or armor.

I had saw that the update cam out and I was excited to get it, but at the update page it prompted me to update it. When I pushed X it didn't do anything, so I was going to uninstall and reinstall the game, when I got to the total miner page it told me that I had to perchase the game. Is this a glitch or am I going to have to repurchase the game?

I got this idea from a dream i had, the dream was about the best creation in total miner, and it had to do with a system block. This block can be used for many thing, and what you're supposed to do is enter a site name, but the site has to be for say " Aura/Script1" I'm not saying that has to be the name but it has to do with creating a site. From this site you can make your own scripts such as c+ scripting or even creating mods or texture packs and anything such as. When you go on that site you can log in and create your script, once you're done you can send it back to the game and use it in your world. The system block can lead to many amazing creations such as the one in my dream that had you skateboarding threw out different universes. yeah, i actually was having fun in my dream. but yeah, i have no idea if this would be possible but if this was added in the game it would bring so many people and so many amazing creations.

Well total miner is getting to the point where there's only skill and death match maps, but every once in a while some one will be building an awesome build that looks awesome and inspiring, so how about we change demi god and demi godsess back to being unlocked? By making the unlockable for demi god and demi goddes be; Have 1000 remote vistors rate your world.
Total Miner + Cool unlockable that has to get the player to make a good enough map to unlock it = More awesome maps

I've been working on an rpg map for quite a while and I've been trying to figure out a way I can import my own costom stats.
what I mean is to have a script to where the player can make their own stats such as having destruction or speed
Strength: 25
Charm: 27
Luck: 16
And by doing this you can have a certain script that raises the certain stat you want to be rased.
CostomStat [Name] [Script] [Local|Global]

[Name] = The name of the stat
[Script] = This will be the script that rises the selected skill
[Local|Global] = Local, Will be the players stats. Global, Will be the lobbys stats

This script can be usfull in many ways, manly for Rpgs.
Ie: If some one is making a rpg map such as a skyrim based map they can have all the stats in skyrim
If its a challenge map the players can see how many challenges they've completed, or if its a death map players can see how many players they've killed.
