Gaming / Assassins Creed Syndicate
« on: May 14, 2015, 07:35:08 AM »
"Assassin's Creed Syndicate is an upcoming historical fiction action-adventure open world stealth video game being developed by Ubisoft Quebec and to be published by Ubisoft. It is set to be released on October 23, 2015 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and Q3/Q4 2015 for Microsoft Windows. It is the ninth major installment in the Assassin's Creed series, and the successor to 2014's Assassin's Creed Unity." -Wiki

"Set within London in 1868 during the Industrial Revolution, the story follows twins Jacob and Evie Frye as they navigate the corridors of organized crime during the Victorian era and fight against the established order, controlled by the Templars. The game retains the series' third-person open world exploration as well as introducing new traveling systems and refined combat and stealth mechanics. It does not feature any form of multiplayer gameplay." - Wiki

Gaming / CoD 2014 - Advanced Warfare - SledgeHammer Games
« on: February 27, 2014, 09:45:08 PM »

Go to Gamer Informer for continued info about CoD Advanced Warfare including interviews of Sledgehammer Games.

Spoiler for Original Post:
Now, I realize that this topic is abit early and we don't really have any information. I wouldn't have posted this but...a few weeks ago we found out something that many already expected. Sledgehammer Games is making the next CoD.

With the addition of a new developer into the rotation, many things are possible. Although Sledgehammer did help with MW3 quite a lot, we don't really know what to expect. Anything can happen, the series can go to anywhere and to anytime. This is very scary. Sledgehammer could be the thing that puts CoD back in the game and at the top of the list...or it could send it flying farther to the bottom.

Since there are three developers in the mix now, that allows three years now instead of two. This is spectacular. Each CoD should be much better now and have a lot more. Not only this but each CoD will most likely have more DLC allowing the game to stay alive longer than a year.

So what's the next CoD? No one really knows. It could be a remake of CoD 4 or MW2. Or it could be something completely new that all CoD fans and ex-CoD fans have been waiting for.

So...what's your prediction on CoD 2014? Will it save CoD...or ruin it?

No one knows anything about the game yet, and still won't until around April-May. Let's just hope it saves CoD ;)

Ideas / Blocks and More!
« on: February 19, 2014, 11:40:56 PM »

This is just a random group of ideas that I don't want to make separate topics for.

Drop-Off Block:

This is a block ,about double the height of a pressure plate, that will pick up any item you drop onto it and transport it into chests, crates, and sentry guns. It basically looks like the top of the furnace but darker around the hole.

This isn't like a Minecraft hopper. You can not transport items like pipes or connect them. They also do not hold items, just instantly transport them.

It would be crafted by placing two basalt on either side of a chest block in the crafting table.

Sandy Stone:

This is the same as Grassy Stone, but sandy. It adds more sand related items to the game for building and stuff.

Wall Block:

This is a block that is the same size of a half block, but vertical and in the middle of the block. It allows textures to be set and can be used as walls for buildings. It could also be used as a fence block. This block also have a corner feature and connects as a corner like fences do.

It would be crafted by placing 3 planks vertically in a crafting table.

Island World:

This is what it says, a world that's a lot of water but has several islands and archipelagos. It may even possibly have volcanos. There could also be a lava version.

Pre-Written Books:

These are books that are already written in the game that you can use in your world. The stories or whatever could be taken from forum members or anyone else. It may even add for another robotic contest.

General Discussion / New Year, New Me
« on: January 01, 2014, 02:23:16 AM »
So it's a new year which means that many people will have a new them, or atleast want to. Most people start and never finish their goals, I plan to and really hope I do. I have some short-term and long-term goals.

Some Long-Term
-Become less lazy
-Become more active (less gaming and actually go outside for once)
-Raise my tolerance level for people
-Become fit
-Do some odd jobs for cash
-Completely clean and organize my room

Some Short-Term
-Get a haircut
-Shave (I've been too lazy :/ )
-Organize my game shelf (again -_- )

3 Biggest Goals
1)Make a move on someone (Get and keep a girlfriend)
2)Build a PC
3)Drink less tea (Yes I know funny but I'm addicted :/ )

What are your goals and what do you plan to do?

Once you complete a goal come back here and cross it out so we can all see your progress.

General Discussion / Building A Computer (Please Read & Help)
« on: December 31, 2013, 08:45:07 PM »
I plan to build my own gaming computer instead of buying one, and have recently been looking into parts and things I need to build this computer. I am trying to stick with a Blue LED theme, so keep that in mind. What I need help with, is making sure the things I have picked out are all compatible and are a good choice. I know many of you have build your own, which is why I came here. Keep in mind that I am not full of money. I would like to try to keep it at $1000 or less.

I have selected several things. I have also picked a couple of certain items and would like to know which is best. Here is everything I have picked out:

Graphics Cards

Memory Kit

Hard Drive

Dual Core Processor

Total Miner Discussion / NEEDED *Please Read*
« on: November 23, 2013, 02:43:26 PM »
For my map The Elites, I need some trees. Now by trees I mean medium and big trees. If you need an idea, I mean trees that are like the one in the Hunger Games map we used for the Robotic Competition. They don't have to be as big but crazy trees like that are what I need.

I will give you credit in my map, I promise. I would make my own but I have tried and they all turned out horrible.

If you have some that you can share, please either PM on here or message me over Xbox Live so that we can schedule the best time to share.

Thanks you ahead of time. Please message me ASAP

Ideas / Publish
« on: November 02, 2013, 04:31:04 PM »
This idea is to be able to "Publish" books. Basically, it would make it to where it can't be edited. The creator of the book can add one person in the world to be able to edit the book after it's been published. The host can always edit books. Only the editor of the book can publish it. If a copy of the book is made before publishing, the copy will not be published.

This would allow people to be able to write books and not worry about people changing it. Multiple people could have the Creative permission and be able to write books, and players would be able to publish their books to make sure no one can make unwanted changes.

I realize Publish isn't the best word to use and it can be called something else.

Questions and Answers / Scripts Question
« on: October 25, 2013, 04:41:09 PM »
So, will scripts be able to move the items that are in chests? Also, if you have an NPC or sign, will they NPC and words move with scripts? I was wondering because Copy & Paste doesn't so I don't think scripts will.

Ideas / Tool/Weapon Editing
« on: October 22, 2013, 09:25:56 PM »
Ever wanted to change the durability of a pick? Well, this idea allows you change the durability of your tools. Of course though, it's only available in Creative.

Why/When would we use this? Well if you are ever creating a map and want to give the player a strong tool, but didn't want it to last forever, you have to mine several block or hit several mobs. This is very annoying and time consuming. You could also use it just to vary your tools.

Okay, so whenever you prospect a tool/weapon, a screen appears that shows a description and stats. When you go to this screen, you press Y which allows you to change the durability. There would be three options, an increment of 10, 50, and 100. You scroll through and find the durability you want.

Also, this would be under either the Admin or Grief permission, whichever you all feel necessary.

So that's pretty much all, this could also work with other stats if you would like it to. Thanks for reading ^-^

Questions and Answers / Mult-Textures
« on: October 19, 2013, 10:58:22 PM »
So, why are there only 16 slots for Multi-Textures? Is that the max, or is 16 the magical number?

If it is possible to add more, will more slots be added?

Ideas / Multi-Texture Half-Blocks/Stairs/Ramps
« on: October 19, 2013, 10:53:46 PM »
In game, the Multi-Texture block has several different textures that can be used. Among these are Cylinder, Bedrock, and Pressure Plate. I, and I'm sure others, tend to use some of these blocks while building. The thing is, it can only be the full block or the block it's textured from. So I think that these textures should be under the Half-Block, Ramp, Stair, and the other blocks that allow choosing if Multi-textures. That's all, thanks for reading :)

Total Miner Discussion / Brainstorming, Planning, and Pre-Work
« on: October 12, 2013, 09:20:17 PM »
This topic is for discussing everything listed in the title. There isn't a ton to discuss, but I do have a few questions.

1)How often do you plan before creating a map or starting a new project?
-I plan before every big new map and project. The time just depends on what it is.

2)What is the average time you plan?
-This depends on the magnitude. I try to spend atleast 30 minutes, but it can  range anywhere from 15 minutes to a few hours.

3)What is the longest time you have ever spent on planning?
-The most I have spent is on the project I'm currently doing. I've spent a few hours building some buildings, and a few hours planning the layout of the map and researching. So about 5-7 hours.

4)What is the biggest project you have ever planned for?
-I would have to say either my current secret project or my Elites RPG Series. Both will take a long time to finish, and I hope they turn out great.

General Discussion / Broken Bones (And other injuries)
« on: September 27, 2013, 08:01:21 PM »
This is a topic about broken bones and other injuries. Have you ever had a injury? Where were you when it happened? How dieing happen? On a scale of 1-10 how badly did it hurt?

Personally, I have broke my pinky any had shin splints. Both were drin football (American) conditioning. My pinky was probably 1 and my shin splits were probably a 4-5 depending on what I was dong.

I also believe I had shin splints again a few weeks ago. It happened I P.E. and I just let it heal.

I'm pretty sure that I also have broken atleast 1 of 2 fingers, maybe both. I also believe one of those, my right pinky, it out-of-socket. Both happened when I fell in basketball and got my hand crushed by someone's foot. At the time, it was about a 3-4 and currently is 1-3 depending on what I'm doing. This happened yesterday in P.E. about 1-2 weeks after healing m shin splints.

So, discuss your injuries!
