Questions and Answers / Re: Total Miner on Linux
« on: February 26, 2018, 08:05:20 PM »
Just installing Windows Steam under wine and using winetricks to install dotnet40 is sufficient to get the game running. It's unfortunate I have been unable to get it working using something like XNAtoFNA, but that'd be much of a waste of time since it won't provide very many benefits aside from not using wine and having a slightly lower crash chance. I'm praying for MonoGame  :,(.

Questions and Answers / [Unanswered] Re: Hacking In Multiplayer

Most of the reason that the game is so exploitable in MP at the moment is the fact that its heavily based on the code from 360. On that platform everything was client-sided, due to the fact that it was so limited. I'm sure once a more official MP implementation is put in place by Craig, he will transition it to a more server-sided approach which would solve most if not all of the exploits. In regards to unlockables, theres a few ways to go about solving that issue. We'll see.  ::)

You have to extract them first. You cannot run them from inside WinRAR.
Additionally, you have to install Visual Studio so that the .VSIX file is associated to it. You have not done so.
Read the prerequisites, install Visual Studio Community 2017 and then try again.

sry i mean the 7th step
Did you install Visual Studio?

There were a few issues in the guide which have now been fixed. If you have issues following the guide, run Step 9 again.

Now that we have >20 Mods, its time for another TMFS update! Unfortunately at the fault of Hayden, we released a Debug build which sadly means that the autoupdate is broken on some newer versions. If you updated to 2018.01.12.0 you will have to manually update. Sorry for the inconvenience.
