Questions and Answers / Custom Avatars - How Will It Work?

I wasn't sure if there was a topic already made for this but:

I was curious on how we would be creating our custom avatars. Will they be made in-game, or will they be edited textures outside of the game itself? Would we be able to build a giant model of our avatar in-game and then select it with marker blocks and choose "Use as Avatar" or something along those lines?

So these are some of the weapons I've created for my "Galactic Miner" mod! All I need to do is make and apply textures to the objects, and then test it once the game comes out! So excited for this! (These are all folders by the way, with the necessary files inside!

So, I haven't been able to find a topic for programming; so I decided to create one!

I first dove into C# coding a few years ago. I started by creating small little things like a button that when pressed adds a number to a variable and displays it on the screen. I then started getting deeper, wanting to create actual games with the language. I found myself obsessed with creating games in using Windows Forms. I then decided, "I want to create a Zombie Survival RPG game on Windows Forms" which turned into my current project: ZAS-RPG (Zombie Apocalypse Survival  RPG) I started slow, but then started developing many features.

I had Items that you could eat and regain hunger, a travel menu to travel to locations that randomly generate items inside of a list box. I then developed a system to loot houses that would generate items. Then onto crafting, then NPCs and on and on!

So far, it has been going great for me! I just finished learning how to create Console games using C#

I'm very interested to see what other stories people have with programming!!

1:would it be possible to raise the limit or to remove how many sounds are allowed in a certian radious?this will be really useful,especially when we can add our own sounds and/or songs even(if this is added)

Don't quote me on this, but I think there are options in a sound block that can limit the amount of sounds heard? Its either there, or in the settings.

Questions and Answers / Walking Animation Setup Inquiry

So, I was curious on how a player would be able to make their own animations in game for their avatars. When watching the video, I saw that behind the first NPC animation video, there were several models of the avatar used to walk. Would a player create these as "frames" and use them to create animations, or were the animations created without the game itself?

You're a bit behind on this idea. I've been planning something like this since infinite terrain was announced.

I'm going in a different direction however, because I've already got a huge part of cyrodill built, as well as a few Skyrim cities. I plan to start building each area to create the entire realm, although that will take a few years, and a team, which I don't have. Perhaps we will cross paths on PC and fuse the maps together or something.

That's awesome! If you ever want to team up on it once PC is released, let me know!! It sounds awesome!

Your world / [RPG] Skyrim Ultimate Map - Idea for PC

So I have an idea for an Ultimate Skyrim map, which will get parts of Skyrim to explore (including caves and such). I also want to add actual NPCs and quest original to the main game. Maybe, when I do finish the map, I can work on creating a Skyrim mod to make a texture pack as well as new NPC's and quest scrips, as well as creating real game weapons and armor. I have a prototype being created on my Xbox. If we are able to transfer saves over, then I will use that prototype to finish it! I hope for it to be very huge with lots of work and detail put into it!

(Also looking forward to playing multiplayer on the world with people!)

Once it comes out for PC, ill be writing scripts and other stuff to use.

Would it be possible to create a TV mod? To have different channels and stuff (maybe broadcast camera feed onto a certain channel?) So for online play, there can be news stations by other players that players can watch? That would be pretty cool!


There are two modding options.

1. A mod that does everything via the games modding API.
2. A mod that does not.

Option 1 does not have support for animated textures (at this time).
Option 2 allows you to do practically anything, if you know how.


This is more or less the same thing as my LCD panel idea with an added function of being a CCTV monitor.

I'm so excited to see the things the community will create for this game with mods once it is released!
