Bug Reports [Retail] / blue screen

Game Edition : (Retail)

1: There are now monsters within the caves for Dig Deep
2: The many different supports for resolutions
3: Mod support and creation
4: All of the music is great to listen to when playing
5: The rare items are so exciting to get

1: No multiplayer.
2: Nearly all the skins are already unlocked
3: Mouse movement, in-game it feels off and weird. It's a different sensitivity to in-game and interfaces.
4: So many of the blueprints I find in Dig Deep are "Gold Pieces"
5: Unable to rotate a clipboard.
6: The lack of information about new updates before they come out
7: The Fact that when binding certain controls, such as noclip, it must include a special key. I would like to be able to not have to bind noclip to two keys.

I know this post is pretty old I just wanna put my opinion where hopefully someone will see it and it'll make a positive change, thanks for reading and hopes this helps.

Total Miner Discussion / [Game] Re: Six Years of Total Miner!
« on: July 29, 2018, 04:28:19 PM »

Today is the sixth year anniversary of TM being released. Without it, I would need never have discovered the joys of sandstone and sand brick.

Um, share your memories here!

I remember finding this game on the marketplace downloading the demo and playing it over and over again. Once I built a wooden room with a bed inside and then the second time the whole world was green and I had dug a staircase into the ground and built a... bedroom again. lol.

where can i find the mod?

This video helped me and my friend install and play together
For about 5 minutes, the multiplayer mod does not feature anything
functional as of yet, due to the game not being able to support multiplayer.

Bug Reports [Retail] / Re: My Total Miner Won't Start
« on: July 29, 2018, 04:15:05 PM »

I am experiencing a bug where I can no longer play the game.
When hitting the play button within steam on Total Miner it simply says
preparing to launch, running, syncing, then nothing.

Running the exe file of Total Miner yields an error message stating
(SteamAPI_init() failed) and does not start at all.

I've tried:
Disabling and uninstalling all antiviruses
Running as admin
Uninstalling the game and reinstalling the game
Uninstalling the multiplayer mod
Running steam as admin and game
Deleting both the total miner and total miner beta folder in my games
Attempting to run the game as beta client (in admin mode aswell)

As of right now I'm uninstalling steam and all its data to reinstall and attempt to play the game.

-pls help

Sounds like it's being sandboxed or quarantined by your anti virus.

TEMPORARILY disable any protection (anti virus. firewall. defender etc...) and try again.

If that doesn't help then try uninstalling the game, rebooting, and reinstalling it. All with the above disabled.

DO NOT forget to re enable any protection you use once you've finished testing.

I appreciate your response however, upon permanently uninstalling AVG and temporarily disabling windows defender and all other antivirus programs. When starting Total Miner from steam using the play button, it simply goes through the same phases, preparing to launch, running, syncing, then nothing.

-pls help

First thing I would suggest is to completely remove all total miner files and restart the computer. Then reinstall the game to see if it works properly without any mods or using the beta edition. Then report here again.

I deleted everything in documents/myGames/TotalMiner, I even deleted the TotalMiner folder itself.
Then I uninstalled the game. Turned off my computer by shutting down it down from the windows option.
Started my computer back on reinstalled total miner however it still does not start when I run Total Miner
and even now when I go to check documents/MyGames the totalMiner folder does not exist.

-pls help

Bug Reports [Retail] / My Total Miner Won't Start
« on: July 25, 2018, 10:38:06 AM »
When ever I go to run Total Miner from steam, it does not appear anywhere not on screen or at the task bar. It simply says Total Miner - Running, then the words running disappear which then gives me the ability to click play again without the warning message of "it's already running" however the game does not work anymore. Does not appear anywhere. Please help.

This is after I installed and uninstalled the multiplayer mod.
This is also after I installed the beta update for a new menu and uninstalled after.
I have uninstalled the game and re installed it, however the problem persists.
I have gone into the local files of the game and tried running "studioForge.Totalminer.exe" as an administrator but it just says
SteamAPI_Init() failed. Ensure Steam is running.

-pls help

It has been tho, like 2 or more times... on steam :o

Something early would have been a year ago or when the release date was specified, first or second quarter, any release now is just considered late.

Don't bother asking or requesting for alpha builds we'll never get any kind of Total Miner information, builds or access just don't bother.

Ideas / Re: Maximum Amount of Money Held In One Stack (Increased)

Clearly you are focused on only part of my post, as I go on to say it could affect every block, not just gold.

But your opening statement is used to forward your second statement which has the idea, clearly you want us to focus on the second part because you can't admit you were "being weird" on the first part lol

For DD and survival, the minimal storage slots gets taken up by the stacks of gold, forcing you to decide what's the most important items to have on you.

You can only script the item command once at bedrock with the script blueprint.

Not to mention, a script could be applied to other items. Think about it. A mine where you could hold all of your blocks in one slot as well.

Why would someone walk around with multiple money stacks when they can buy chests or make crates to store the money instead? Before adventuring off into a cave where their inventory may get full. And for survival, most of the items are unlocked so you can buy a chest to put the money in...? I am confused.

I think that instead of this, We should have a [StackSize=] parameter to the "Item" command. This allows the stack limit to be increased or decreased for any item, And it would allow this to actually happen. Otherwise this idea would be shot down because survival and DD.

Why does DD and survival affect this?
