Fun House / Re: Happy Single's Awareness Day

It's that time of year again.

HAPPY SINGLES AWARENESS DAY!

I've got $30, and tomorrow I'm going to the dollar store and buying 50% discounted chocolate. This year, they have ferrero eggs (mmmmmm), and I get to keep them all to myself. Almost didn't. I almost had to celebrate Valentine's day this year. Sure dodged a bullet on that one.

I've got my dog, I've got my xbox, YouTube, and soon I'll have buckets and buckets of comfort food.

Viva la vida de soltero!

I could have a 1024x4096x1024. Our friendly neighbourhood RGH modders have shown us that this is handled surprisingly well on 360, So it is possible that this might work for PC.
Say wat?
I believe what he's saying is that XBLToopthik had modded it on 360 or something to do this. That's my guess.

Try using an economised shop to store the money in, And using the move inventory command. I am not 100% sure if this would work, But it's your best shot shy of a locked chest hidden somewhere. And that would have very limited storage.
This does work, but if you intend to make this a permanent money storage, you don't want to break it... ever. If you break it on accident with as much money as... say... Trub or I keep, you'll lose loads of money. Honestly, it's best to just keep a couple locked chests somewhere in the world. If you're worried about people getting into them, you can still attach these to scripts. Then hide them in a box. Even clay works. Then put a no edit zone around the clay box. It's what I do if I'm feeling lazy. Shops are too high risk.

I remember walking along tight tunnels and regularly no clipping into the wall for no reason.
Often happened on spiral staircases too.

I hated that bug more than most. And if I remember correctly it was introduced in an update immediately before either 1.8 or 2.0 so there was like a year's wait before it was fixed :\
Was this the same bug that, basically, while stuck you could push the left analog stick to move yourself in any direction laterally? If so, I have an awful memory with this bug. I too often got just slightly stuck in the wall right before I left to do something. Back then, my controller had one of those thumbsticks that never centered. So when I'd get back, sometimes I'd be some 100-200 blocks away. Usually still stuck in a wall. As Trubstep could probably tell you, I don't like carrying digging equipment on me unless I plan to dig. This was awful.

Stair elevators were a beautiful thing. You could jump through the lower step, but stand on top of it. So placing two opposite facing stairs together made a fun elevator. Great for multifloor buildings.

Ages ago, and I mean ages, you used to be able to prospect then pick bedrock on creative mode. There was nothing quite as thrilling as building with a block that felt taboo to have. There was also the fear of placing it wrong, and having to quit and reload the map from your last save.

General Discussion / Re: Drones
« on: January 26, 2017, 03:49:32 PM »
FTHRBTTN's drone was retrieved. The wind got up to 40mph (65kmph). Blew it right out of the tree. Didn't hit any branches on its way down. Landed from its 50foot (15metre) freefall perfectlt onto the concrete slab nearby.

0 damage. None.

Only thing I noticed was that the battery was hard to remove, but FTHRBTTN said it's like that normally.

How durable are those things? How much mass do they have?
These $50 little beasts are SUPER durable. I've seen some $2,000 models fall 3 feet and shatter. I'm really impressed with them.

My FTHRBTTN lost his drone.

We still haven't gotten it out, despite spending two hours with the fishing rod trying to get it out.

The video footage is taken by me with my drone. I was trying to see how far up it was with a better point of view. It's uh... it's up there...

Fortunately, it isn't far from the top, and isn't obscured by many branches upwards, being that it's so high. I might be able to fish it out with my drone by attaching a long tarp strap to the bottom of my drone, and hooking it onto his. I'm nervous about that, though, because if my drone dies or gets caught on a branch and can't unfree itself, we'll have TWO stuck drones.

You can't call and ask the fire department to get it out like you can with a cat. We could ask around town if someone has a bucket loader. That could be expensive, though. It'd be okay if the drone was expensive. Except they're not. They're only $50. Hiring a bucket loader may cost anout $150 or more.

Either way, we're heading out tomorrow to give it another shot at getting the tree out. FORTUNATELY again, the weather won't be rainy, and the wind will be up pretty high. So maybe we'll just play the waiting game for it to be blown out.

Fum fact #1:

Not all dictionaries are correct.

Fun fact #2:

My previous post IS correct.

Fun fact #3:

You should precisely learn what a fact is in grade school, and that the opposite of fact is opinion. Something which cannot be proven true or false.

Fun fact #4:

GK is a baby.

Fun fact #5:

GK is sexy.

"Fact" does not describe something as being true. A fact is something that can be proven true or false.

The statement "Fish have four legs, with twelve claws on each foot." is a fact. A false fact, but a fact nonetheless.

Questions and Answers / Re: tmf data question
« on: January 19, 2017, 10:50:18 AM »
The Xbox HDD was designed to stream large media files. It can read large media files like movies on a DVD that are large contiguous chunks of data quite efficiently. But it is absolutely terrible (extremely slow) at reading lots of little files scattered or fragmented around the drive.
That pretty accurately explains why it takes a full minute and a half to display all the indie games in my games library.

So I tweeted this and thought I'd inform all of you as well so I'm in a place were I cannot upload unfortunately. And there is a possibility I may never be able to upload again. I'm talking to people just in case so they can continue if I no longer can. I may also never be able to play totalminer again. A few people know why. I'm actually in a very depressed state so I know checking back after this post won't do me any good. I'm legit shaking writing this. If you have supported me thank you. If you hated me ok thank you for atleast watching. I hope all does work out and I can continue what I do. I'm worried thanks everyone.
You're leaving?... but you just finally made a post without a single spelling error. :(

Ideas / Re: Grue
« on: January 13, 2017, 09:08:24 AM »
I do, in fact, like this idea. However, you failed to give them a physical description. They're a solid black, but can be a near-black purple, grey or blue depending on the preference of whatever fantasy universe they're in. They're vaguely humanoid. They're generally hairy and resemble... orc-... uh... werebear/bugbear beasts. Their eyes are black and lifeless, reflect no light, and are very sufficiently described as "matte fisheyes". They stand about a human and a half tall. Their paws are the size of shields.

However, this is all the generic description. It's good to remember that not only are any fantasy creatures up to the interpretation of the author, but grues live only in the dark, and are clever/ferocious beasts, so it's so unlikely they'll ever be in the light or killed, that so few avtually know what grues look like, leaving it moreso up to interpretation.

Gaming / Re: Games with Gold + Other free games!
« on: January 12, 2017, 01:05:19 PM »
So, this topic is almost a fossil, but deals with gold (NOT the bimonthly free games) are cool this week. Tropico 5 is going for 6 dollars. All the dlc is SUPER discounted. Tropico 4 and 3 are on sale, too. Get them both for like... 4 dollars. Maybe 5. A lot of dlc from 3 and 4 are cheap, too. I recommend 5, most definitely if just for multiplayer alone. I'll be getting the last DLCs for Tropico 5 tomorrow. I'll probably grab Tropico 4 and/or 3 as well as some dlc for them. Don't know yet. Might just save the money till next tuesday or buy some indie games. I've been avoiding buying indies recently, though. Makes me sad.
