Ideas / Clock Blocks

  • when opened via right trigger it shows time of day and season
  • when prospected gives option to set timer with A.
  • timer will deliver power to surrounding blocks.
  • the first option will toggle whether the timer will deliver power at a specific time of day or specified intervals. ex; When set to activate at ten minute intervals it will output a short burst of power every ten minutes. since the game typicaly seems to run on milliseconds this could easily be converted
  • the second option can toggle whether or not the timer is activated when powered. This is a true false statement: Activate on power
  • the third option allows the timer to activate once, or loop. Activate once is simple it triggers the power output once and then stops until activated manually. when set to loop it will continue indefinitely until player stops it
  • when player is ready to start the countdown, the last option will be a true or false option: Is Active. When true it will work when false it doest. when set not to loop this option will be automatically set to false when it delivers power.

This would be a way to customize player permissions even further by adding an extra setting in the perms menu. It would work and feel the same way as scripting and could probably be interconnected with a script. It would also be stored on the world so it would remain we you rejoin. So it would look like this:
ExceptAdventure [feature]
ExceptEdit [feature]
ExceptCreative [feature]
ExceptGrief [feature]
ExceptAdmin [feature]
Ex: ExceptEdit [breakiron] if edit is off for the player this would make it so the player could only break iron blocks, if edit is on then the player could break anything BUT iron blocks. It just toggles the permission for a specific feature.
ExceptAdmin [noclip] would basicly invert the admin permission and the players ability to no clip. You can either have admin but no no clip or you could not have admin and have noclip

The idea still needs a bit of polishing up but I would use this all the time, im sure others would find use for it too

I believe that you don't get the Hermes wraith from system packs, miss cellany had made the Terra form packs, but she got them because she found the game sounds. Also, system components are pretty difficult to obtain, as I've been trying for 3 years, and all I get from Craig is a "I'll look at them later". I've just decided to share my packs to everyone instead of trying for system packs, as this way is a whole lot easier

Making system items could be the new way to unlock Demis though
I like that...

Anywho, you have some really original designs here! The Aether themed buildings were my favourite of the bunch. Though in my opinion, a majority of your designs aren't really well for a component pack. Your designs range from quite incredible to lacking a lot of detail. The much larger designs would be pretty difficult to effectively place or use as components. Since these are pretty unique as well, I'd say you'd need much more builds to put into the pack before this could be useful for map building. All in all, I like your work, but still has some ways to go before it can become a system pack.
The larger aether builds I have cut into three parts as well for conveinency, top middle and bottom. The big towe rwouldnt even fit into a single one

I am trying to obtain the wraith by creating a component pack of Mystical builds divided up by three catagories: Holy Structures, Voidbound Structures, and Infernal Structures. I would like to have this become a system pack as I think they are well built, but I would let the dev team be the judge of that. (The pack name is a bit wrong but that could probably be fixed easily with the devs)Reason this is in the Q&A section is because I want to know what I need to make sure I include or exclude in it to make it certified for inclusion. If anyone wants to see them they are on my world "Showcase" marked by Aether, Abyss, Nether markers on compass. I think the pack has potential and I would just like specifications on what or what not to do. I cant take pictures unfortunately but hopefully someone will and PM them to me.
