Post by: Not Actually Atlas on August 26, 2013, 03:36:15 PM
I dont know where I would put this, but I thought I would start a topic where the community could discuss, suggest, or just list the books, comics, novels and other literature we are currently reading.

Recently the only fiction books I've read have been Michael Crichton and Stephen King. I'm not really a big fan of fiction anymore.

A really good biography is John Sculley's Odyssey: Pepsi to Apple. He tells his story from beginning at Pepsi to his times at Apple. I really liked it.

Was referring to Koontz. I've only read around 10 of kings books. He's good but something about the endings didn't seem right to me

I always prefered Koontz's novels to kings for having some really consistantly good work.. Lightning, Watchers, Phantoms being among my favorites.. I just ordered A Big Little Life: A Memoir of a Joyful Dog by Koontz for 1 penny off Amazon will typing this up.

I have read alot of books (not any author in particular usually) but one series I liked was the Inheritance Cycle. It consisted of four books, Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, and Inheritance.

Gotta say, I read the whole of the 1st maze runner book a couple nights ago. I've already read the whole series numerous times, and watched the first two films atleast twice. I can't wait for the third in 2017 :D

I'd reccomend the amazing novels by James Dashner to any who likes dystopian books.

If we bring this back, I think I am going to rebrand it as a "what are we reading" topic, where we talk about what we are currently reading.

Not something i'm reading currently but the book 'Some Thing Upstairs' is great. The book is based around they city of Providence in Rhode Island(The sate i live in.) And its about this boy who moves into this new house and when he goes upstairs there is a blood stain on the floor and the night he slept there a child came through and asked him to help find the person who him. It was written by AVI. The house and places in the book are real if you every visit our little state try and find the wall of the X Its there (Read the book to understand)

Right now I am reading the current Deadpool/Spiderman run, as well as a collection of the Spiderverse arcs that I got for my birthday. They are pretty good. Deadpool and Spiderman bounce off of each other very well, and the writing and art is top notch

Love the Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy series. I read the whole collection a while back, and I found it hilarious.

Icewind Dale trilogy.

Have you read the prequels?

Also, everything RA Salvatore writes is a masterpiece. If you haven't checked it out yet, there's this book he wrote with his kid, and it's really unique. When I get home on monday or tuesday I'll check my bookcase and let you know what its called.
