My favorites are Soul Eater, Angel Beats!, Clannad series, and Gurren Lagann.

Quite a few others as well. Recently watched My Bride is a Mermaid. It is like Excel Saga. Immensely funny and worth a watch.

I have arrived

For me this is my addiction
http://www.animefreak.tv/watch/danganronpa-kibou-no-gakuen-zetsubou-no-koukousei-animation-online

The plot to this is that 15 of the worlds best students are trapped within a school and the only way to graduate is if you can kill someone and get away with it. And as it progresses characters which you might enjoy may noy turn out to be who you think they are. The nice thing is that it makes my brain work thinking who did it. And if you enjoy it there is a game the anime is based off :)

Edit: I was just thinking of the last episode and I'm hoping my 2nd favourite character didn't do it but I think they might have D: I will be depressed if it's true

The worst thing about long animes is all the goofy filler epesoids and a bunch of my fav have been mentioned.  Ever had to switch channels because the stupid meter on the show is off the carts I know I had to many time and most of them where fillers that they add in to allow the magna to catch up to the anime.

Was on Netflix the other day and noticed that My Bride is a Mermaid is now available for streaming. You guys should check it out if you haven't.

In other news I'm all caught up with all the seasons of Fairy Tail. This anime just made my top 5. Well that isn't entirely correct. It made the top 5 some time a while ago while I was watching it lol. Couldn't wait for the next season so I'm also reading the manga as well.

go watch "grave of fire flies", thats a true story, then go wish you were never born to watch it in the first place.

um theres also the original wolfs rain, if you can even find the orignal last 4 epsioeds. thats very sad too.
might onyl be able to find the re doen 4 last esioeds now.

theres blue gender, that whoel thing is just full of depression.

Akira doesint have a happy ending.

Jin-Roh :the wolf birgade  its burtaly slow for most of the move, but thats on purpuse to build up for the simply mind blowing last 10 mins, one fo the cooler twists in an anime i ever have seen. simply depressing ending.

Metropolis amazing movie, then becomes distrubing and depressing, does nto end well.

Royal space force :The wings of honneamise  burtaly slow movie, it deals with life and life sucks, lot of depsrsing stuff.

X the movie, despering threw out, veyr depresing ending.

Twilight of the dark master, depresing

Kah DoH Maru, very depsering threw otu and drpesing ending.

neon geneiues evengalion (orginal seruies) lot of drpession, expcialy near the end, the scene with shingi and karu still makes me cry when i think about it (becuse we all knwo they were in love). last 2 epsioed are a mind ****, most peopel didnt liek it beucse it was to smart. witch leads me too-

neon geinuges evenglaion :the end of evengauilion. basickly made it so the last 2 epsioeds of the seruies never happend and they made a full length movie instead. exstreamly depsring (omg i still cring at askuas battle). depsrsing ending.

dead space: down fall depresing all threw otu and sad ending.
also what ever the 2nd dead space movie was called, it was even more depresing then the first.

Afro samuri, a work of art, but lot of depresing things and sad ending.

afro samuri resurection, again amazing title, but sad threw otu and sad ending.

watch men, tales of the black frieghter. no idea in heck hwo this move rel;ated to the watch man movie, but it was depresing and sad ending.

those are the ones i can think of off the top of my head ^_^

EDIT: wanted to add to the list

the animatrix, all the storys in it are ether sad or down rigth depresing with sad endings for the most part.

Aein flux the anime, lots of sadness and depsersion.

and.......The greatist anime ever made, Ralph Bakshi's "Wizards"
despresing story. but simply breath takign story. of the horros of war and the disturbing power of prapaganda.

you wanted a "didnt see it coming" the Final fight is the biggist "didnt see it coming" ever in any movie or anime i have ever seen. imo greatist Anime ever made. ^_^!!!!!!!

I cried.. A lot. Simply Fantastic Everyone nees to watch it sometime.
Anyone got any recommendations? ^_^

Try Kuttsukiboshi.
It's only two episodes long, but you won't regret it.
More emotion and depth was packed into those two episodes than most anime I've seen. And the ending is adorable :3

if your a netflix member, then they have a DVD of it (but not streaming) so theres that. difnrtly worth it imo, just remmber tis form the 70s, so the quaillty is difntly no where near todays, but it was all hand drawn stuff ^_^.

and the story is just epic, and that fianl battle...greatist "what a twist!" of any twist ever!!!! ^_^, anime or other wise ^_^
i still get shivers when i here the one line form it ^_^!

..........Mom taught me this neat trick.............
^_^!!!!!!!!

edit: had it worng, not 80's but 70's! :O ^_^

also heres a discription for the movie.

"In this animated cult classic set in a bleak future, a wizard must save the world from fascist mutants controlled by his evil twin brother, who likes to project films of Hitler's speeches during attacks."

very powerful film ^_^

Well as of recently I can't really watch that many animes because I get bored of fan service and you always know that there will be a happy ending thats why I am trying to find one which will make me think... "I didn't see that coming" so a friend recommended Beserk so thats a start... any one else want to recomnend one?
I'd recommend watching Welcome to the NHK if you enjoy an anime that doesn't go the whole stereotypical predictable happy ending route. It's about Satou, a college dropout who has developed severe agoraphobia and social anxiety. He has had hardly any interaction with anyone for over a year until a young woman tries to help him out of his reclusive life style.
The plot has so many ups, downs, and twists - one of the most original stories I've seen thus far. It's very emotional all the way through and the characters are extremely well developed. A good anime will have you laugh. It'll have you cry. Though, no book, movie, or anime has ever had me doing both at the same time before watching Welcome to the NHK.

Okaii so I have been busy with work but I managed to watch a few animes some were amazing others were just awful any way the new two favourite ones are.

Beserk: The old anime was amazing however the remastered three movies which cover the episodes is just... perfect must give it a watch at some point.

Cowboy Bebop: After months of avoiding watching it I finally gave in and I wasn't upset the episodes don't really follow a linear plot and is just jumping from one bounty to the other which is amazing. But the ending nearly made me cry :(

Don't be fooled, this is NOT a happy show. It looks like a funny slice of life anime this is not the case, it is much darker than you would expect.

Infact here just look at a review of it, easier to understand than me rambling.

The movies kinda cut out parts which didn't really fit in and also added more to the ending so personally you should watch the movies rather than the original first :P

As for SAO watched it when it was first subbed and it was brilliant however they finished the anime even though there is three more stories to it including a dive into fps and one which links close to the story of accel which was a shame really so I just read the light novels... plus the creator wants to write a story about every level of the floating castle so I am keeping my eyes on that.

Rosario+vampire is a really good anime even though I only just recently watched it after asking Dauntless what the anime in her Gif was :s but if i had to recommend a episode a series and a movie i would have to say naruto's
first episode as it begins the story and is quite exciting, series would have to be naruto as well sorry and the movie would be spirited away as i love all the things and it's just my kind of anime film or atleast one of my kinda anime films anyway

forget if any one has suggested it, but i like FLCL a lot. its an action/comady. kinda hard to exspalin what its about. main charctor is a young boy (liek always), along with the msysiterius girl on a mopad with a gatar on her back.........that she uses to hit people XD.

other mainish charcitors are the GF of the young boys older brother who left her to go to amairca. as well as the young boys dad and a detective kinda guy, o and the robot XD.

i think its short, maybe 5-6 epsioeds. but its a lot of fun and worth checkign out ^_^. no major sad stuff in it, just funny and action, mostly funny XD ^_^, difntly not  kids anaime tho.

Ninja nonsense ^_^

great comady anime, i think it was only 12 epsioeds, and at time felt rushed. had a lot of potnetical for good drama, but again its onyl 12 epsioed and they focued on the comiady, still very good tho ^_^

i had a ton of fun in it, i see my slef a lot in the main ninja female (as any one who knows me well enough will see it too) ^_^

difntly worth a watch ^_^

o also finished main arch of sword art online, i am told that theres still a 2nd seasiopn of it, but the main story lien is over.
my thoughts are for the most part it did a good job of keepign to MMO games, and still mangaed to draw peopel in pasdt it ^_^.

over all i was in love with it, and i really loved the love story in it. over all wasly a 9/10.

however whats keeping me form giving it a 10/10 is that the 2nd to last epsioed int he main story arch ended on one hell of a cliff hanger, prmising epci insane goodness in what i didnt know at teh tiem was gona be the last in the first seasion. sadly the last epsioed of the first seaison just honsitly sucked. whole epsioed felt extreamly rushed, and felt half baked too. i can see a ligit reasion they did it tho :

they lost half of the most powerful players in game for there largist raid they coudl make to the lv 75 boss. they were basickly screwed.
so they were kinda like "yea this is nbever gona happen so heres th ened boss go for it!"

it sounds likw it can get fun again tho ^_^, so i am gon astick with it, again a 9/10 for first seasion, and i did very much enjoy it, lots of action and had lots of feels and roomcace too witch i loved ^_^

Planet Hulk is a good one, forget if i mentioned it before.

starts off with doctor strang/ironman/mr fantastic and nick fury tellign hulk he has become to much of a threat for earth to handle, that he coudl littrly destry the plant now with his rage, as he lost the abilty to return to his human forum. so they druged him and exiled him off the planet to a planet devoid of sneitine life. where he could live out his days with out hurting any one.

he wakes up tho before the ship can land and sends it vering off coruse into a wormhole. where he lands on a plaent ruled by an evil dictator. weakend by the wormhole hes left no were near as strong as he shoudl be. but also gains the abilty to reasion again and keep his human mind whiel in the hulk body.

very well done imo. diffintly worth a watch. soild movie with a cool asemble of charictors. Hulk is epic in it.

stuff agsy watching! ^_^

still watching bleach, am in the 14th seasion atm witch is filler, but its good filler and plays rigt along with the main story line, so its good ^_^, sad that theres only a single seasion left tho (15) that is main story then theres well nothing sadly mangas need to cacth up so it could be a loooooooooong time till theres new epsioes, let alone in the us ^_^

watching naruto uncut, am still amazed at how much more blood there is in it compaired to the regular cut version. even tho I have seen ti once before (cut version) its worth it to see the uncut version ^_^

watching soul eater still, am still loving it ^_^!

watching sword art online still, the first epsioed or 2 for the 2nd seasion was um odd, but its starting to shape up now, shame it was only 2nd half of epsioed that shaped up, cant wait for next ^_^

also wacthign star wars cloen wars, yes I know not a true anime but its good still ^_^, I like a lot of the storys and morals they have in it ^_^

am also rewatchign ghost in the shell stand alone complex ^_^

yarr! ^_^

also heard theres gona be a new anime out on adult swim soon, form the same peoepl who made cowboy bebop and another well known anime, I cant wait for it ^_^!!!!

Just watched 'Redline" went for nearly 2 hrs and I really enjoyed it, reccommended watch if you see it around and like racing etc.

"Redline is one of those movies that is absolutely popping with adolescent joy, from the sleekly-animated racing sequences to the ridiculous bravado of the characters. It's a bold debut for director Takeshi Koike, and what really amazes is that it manages to be an epic story that at the same time seems to be only a sliver of a crazy and exciting universe. You get the feeling that any of the other racers, some of whom only get a sliver of screen time, could easily support their own movie, and that kind of overflowing exuberance is hard not to buy into. The only other media that comes to mind as capturing this sensation is the anime series Giant Robo, which seems like a clear precedent here.

Plot-wise, there isn't much going on, with the story a serviceable vehicle to get from one action sequence to another. It does, however, manage to use common tropes in a way that feels mythic and not derivative. Redline really only does one thing -- epic action -- and those looking for anything else will probably be disappointed. But man, does it succeed on that front.

This review would be incomplete without mentioning the amazing music, an eclectic group of tunes that completes the adrenaline rush. Hell, every character gets their own theme song. How cool is that? (My favourite is Machine Head's.) And, in the end, that's what Redline ultimately wants to leave you thinking: "How cool is that?"

Thought that summed it up well.

over all tho i really enjoyed it and it was amazing to see again ^_^

it looked amazing restored was liek wacthing a brand new anime ^_^

as a side note adult swim also played 3 cartoon music videos during the comericals. first one they played was epic and had a amazing video to it (all imo). 2nd one was just odd and 3rd oen the song was good but the video sucked XD.

yea i saw it and loved it, shame they edited out a few scenes. for exp i knwo for a fact it shows tetsuos GF's breasts in the one scene, no big deal it was edited. but her death i swore was a lot more bloody then what it had. i also felt liek there were a cupel scenese i remmber being more bloody then they were.

then i also swear they had diffrnt vocie actors for some of the people. kinda liek DBZ-kai did. for exspaile i dont remmber the guy who voices tom form toonimai/roger smith/ spike being in the movie at all. i also dont remmber the male lead being the voice of triguns voice actor. maybe its just been forever XD

also this saterday is Summer Wars!!! ^_^!!!!!!!

Kenji is a teenage math prodigy recruited by his secret crush Natsuki for the ultimate summer job - passing himself off as Natsuki's boyfriend for four days during her grandmother's 90th birthday celebration. But when Kenji solves a 2,056 digit math riddle sent to his cell phone, he unwittingly breaches the security barricade protecting Oz, a globe-spanning virtual world where millions of people and governments interact through their avatars, handling everything from online shopping and traffic control to national defense and nuclear launch codes. Now a malicious AI program called the Love Machine is hijacking Oz accounts, growing exponentially more powerful and sowing chaos and destruction in its wake.

Good movie, I highly recommend watching it.

i cant wait ^_^!!!!!!

I watched the world preimier of space dandy ^_^

zomg it was soooooooooooooooooooooo funny!!!!

the show doesint take its self seruesly and I was diing of laughter XD

the art work is a lot like soul eater, and I can easly see the heavy infulince of cowboy bebop in the show.

dfifnrtly a 10/10 so far ^_^, well worth a watch ^_^

as to what the show is about..........as they them selves say, its about a dandy guy...in space XD!!

more into it dandy is a kinda bounty hunter, hes job is that he runs around in space and looks for new aliens, if he finds oen they (the empie) will pay big money to register it. so natruly his idea is to go to a hang out in space with tons of aliens..........and scantaly clad women XD

they hinted at a big picture too with a big war going on and a cuple protaganists. as well as introducing the main cast of dandy, his robot partner whos out of date and has a child like mentalilty. and Meow, an aline that respembles a cat. as well as who I think is the main female charictor on the show.

again difntly worth watching, its very funny and the action scenes are top notoc ^_^

the chain reaction figth at the end of the show was to die for, it was soooooooooooo funny XD!!!!!!!!!!!! ^_^

browny points if you catch the terminator easter egg in the show ;D ^_^

Watched the movie "5 Centimeters Per Second"

I loved it. Really good watch, if you can I highly recommend it.

"Tohno Takaki and Shinohara Akari, two very close friends and classmates, are torn apart when Akari's family is transferred to another region of Japan due to her family's job. Despite separation, they continue to keep in touch through mail. When Takaki finds out that his family is also moving, he decides to meet with Akari one last time.

As years pass by, they continue down their own paths, their distance slowly growing wider and their contact with one another fades. Yet, they keep remembering one another and the times they have shared together, wondering if they will have the chance to meet once again."

Thanks to agy, I now remember the name of the only series I have watched. G Force, aired from 1978 to 1985, and had a short comeback in the late 90's. I really enjoyed this when I was a kid, even though I didn't realize that it was anime back then.

been watching attack on titan, took a whiel to get used to the subs but I can do it ^_^

my reactions have generaly been me going back and forth between saying ewww, and just laughing. decent story so far, tho I feel like theres a ton left out.

just got done epsioed 5. not sure where they are going with the anime yet, I know something big is still suspied to happen. but I wish they would do a better job of exspalining about the "adnormal" titans. like how it took 100 years for just collasal to show up, now all of a sudden after 5 years every other titan is an abnormal XD?

also why the original lead never told any oen about collasaul having intelagince..........what ever I am still watching it XD ^_^

The intelligence gets explained in the second half. This show was actually really good. It is confusing at the beginning though. I do wish that they explained a little more about how the war came to be.

Mirai Nikki (Future Diary) has now officially taken top of my favourite animes of all time

Middle school 2nd year, Amano Yukiteru, is a boy who has problem making friends. He thinks of himself as a bystander and will always write down everything he sees in a cell phone diary.

Tormented by solitude, Yukiteru began to imagine things like a friend called Deus Ex Machina who is apparently the Lord of Time & Space. Seeing Yukiteru's miserable state, Deus gives him a new ability. His diary will now record events that will happen in the near future. Yukiteru is then forced to participate in a game which the winner will become Deus's successor.

Even though it does have some minor fanservice which is expected and is only minor graphic and might not sit well with people who like characters to live but for me it is my new favourite.

Now time to move on to Kyoukai no Katanta which as recommended to me and will have my say on it after.

True however I did take it rather well and enjoyed it thoroughly and it even had a somewhat happy ending however I have been a busy rabbit tonight and finished yet another anime.

Kyoukai no Kanata (Beyond the Horizon (I Think))

The dark fantasy follows a high school sophomore named Akihito Kanbara. Although the boy appears human, he is half youmu and invulnerable to wounds because he can heal quickly. One day, Akihito meets freshman Mirai Kuriyama when it seems she is about to jump from the school rooftop. Mirai is isolated because of her ability to manipulate blood, which is unique even among members of the spirit world. Disturbing events begin to unfold after Akihito saves Mirai.

This was recommended to me and again not too shabby with the lovable characters and gorgeous fighting scenes I can't complain and to be honest is worth a watch this one gets my thumbs up and no to start my next one.

Another recommendation to me Guilty Crown however there is 20 odd episodes so I will be back soon ;)

Really? I hated it lol. Like.. Seriously xD

Anyway I am now watching Fate Zero.

Its great so far!!!

samuri jack starts soon on toonami here in the states (as in this weekend).

while it was never finished sadly. there are some 52ish epsioeds. all of witch are very well done.

while the art style is odd comapired to a normal anime, its very rich and heavy with story and morals (as jack is a samuri after all).

the story follows jack, a young prince who lived in a japanese kingdom, all was well untill one day a pice of evil that spilt off in a massive battle of (what looked like) thor/shiva/Horus vs (again what looked like) azertoh from HP love craft. that pice flys threw the cosmos till it lands in jacks kigndom, it slowly grows more and more till the king (jacks father) can no longer ignore it.

jacks father and his guards battle the demon only to fall to it, word of his fathers defeat reaches jack and jacks mother (the queen). form there jacks mother runs away with jack and they start a trip aroudn the world and threw it jack learns combat and fightign styles form all the peopel of the world, when eh finaly becomes a man he recives his fathers sword form his mother with the task of retaking the kingdom form the demon.

jack returns to figth the demon who he dsicvoers is named Aku. who has mighty powers and can shape shift and powerful magic.

jack nearly defeats aku untill aku in a desprate attempt to live rips open a tear in time and sends jack into it. where jack is forced 1000's of years into the future where aku has taken over the world.

now jacks story begins where he serches for a way to return home and defeat aku once and for all!

i very much enjoyed the show (never aculty saw all of it). and again sadly it was never finished. but its very much worth your time and has deep story with strong morals. difntly worht yoru time ^_^

i'll say highly rated and has a good story if you don't like the type of religious thing but they make it much more dynamic :P my rating outta 10 is a 9/10 as I just wanted a longer or more series.

Okaii finally managed to watch all of Durarara and for some reason I remember there was rumours of a sequel can't remember anything about it though. However Durarara was fantastic imo and lately I don't even watch the whole series if I can already guess what happens and with Durarara I couldn't really guess that much. Also watch Phsycic Detective Yakamo which I didn't finish, figured out the plot before it even ended.

Now I am currently watching Psyco Pass and am loving it :P

My question can someone suggest an anime which doesn't have this for main characters.
1). A brave main character
2). His pervert friend
3). A third friend who is always serious.

Kinda getting bored of the three characters which seem to consist of about 80% of all anime.

you could watch neo geneies evngalion. shingis a cowrd for most of the anime (who do I kid all of it). just if you watch it make sure you watch the orginakl series, then the move (that redid the last ending and last 2 epsioeds that made it way more viloienlt. but at lest made sense). then watch the new series.

School Days
-doesn't have any of the above characters. A rather serious anime, mimics potential real-life events.
If you haven't seen the anime, don't look it up. It will spoil the surprises. I fortunately had the opportunity of seeing this raw, without any prior knowledge other than the synopsis, and it made the emotions I felt while watching much more real.

...if you are wanting to debate please do not spoil plot points, or put many spoiler pyramids around you post.

Steins;Gate is about a group of friends who have customized their microwave into a device that can send text messages to the past. As they perform different experiments, an organization named SERN, who has been doing their own research on time travel, tracks them down and now the characters have to find a way to avoid being captured by them

Time to revive this topic

Finally finished the 22 episodes of Psycho-Pass (several months after watching it due to forgetting thename after episode 3 xD )

Anyway for those who are a fan of serious, gritty animes this is for you for me as far as sci-fi animes go this is at the the top with Cowboy Bebop and truley loved it... anyway to the plot!

The series takes place in the near future, when it is possible to instantaneously measure and quantify a person's state of mind and personality. This information is recorded and processed, and the term "Psycho-Pass" refers to a standard used to measure an individual's being. The story centers around the "enforcement officer" Shinya Kougami, who is tasked with managing crime in such a world.

i just watched Cencoroll it came out in 2009 and i liked it!

When a gigantic, unearthly monster suddenly looms on the skyline of a Japanese city, the expected occurs—the Japan Self-Defense Forces roll out the tanks while the public panics. Nobody knows what it is or where it came from, but Yuki, a bold and inquisitive teenage girl, has a secret but might be a useful clue. Her friend Tetsu has been clandestinely caring for a bizarre creature called Cenco, which will soon prove itself to have some remarkable, even impossible characteristics. Another teenage boy, a stranger with some mysterious link to the monstrosity attacking the city, shows up, and his unwelcome interest in Tetsu's pet snuffs out any doubt of a connection—and lights the fuse for the coming battle.

It is a movie, but it's only about 25 minutes and according to the official website, Uki Atsuya announced that he is producing a sequel to Cencoroll (Cencoroll 2, tentative title). He is now working on the scenario and the storyboard, which is similar in length to the first one.

Time for me and my list!

Ones I Loved!

Gantz!:

Plot:
When highschool student Kurono Kei meets up with his childhood friend Masaru Katou at a subway station, their lives take a drastic turn. They both cooperate to save a homeless man who falls onto the tracks, but get run over by the train in the process. Moments later, they appear in an apartment filled with several other people, and a giant black ball in the center of the room. The black ball lights up and informs them that they are now completely under its control. It tells them to go and kill a certain humanoid creature, then it provides them with an arsenal of futuristic weapons, armor, and equipment; and teleports them outside the apartment to a certain alleyway in Tokyo. The people are soon forced to fight for their lives against the creature, each other, and an unexpected visitor. Those who survive are allowed to go free, but they soon discover that it will not be so easy, as the black ball still has control of their fates, and it likes to play games.

Baccano!:

Plot:
During the late 1930s in Chicago, the transcontinental train, Flying teriyaki chicken on a stickfoot, is starting its legendary journey that will leave a trail of blood all over the country. At the same time in New York, the ambitious scientist Szilard and his unwilling aide Ennis, are looking for missing bottles of the immortality elixir. In addition, a war between the mafia groups is getting worse. On board the Advena Avis, in 1711, alchemists are about to learn the price of immortality.

Based on the award winning light novels of the same name, this anime adaptation follows several events that initially seem unrelated, both in time and place, but are part of a much bigger story - one of alchemy, survival and immortality. Merging these events together are the kindhearted would-be thieves, Isaac and Miria, connecting various people, all of them with their own hidden ambitions and agendas, and creating lifelong bonds and consequences for everyone involved.

Ones I disliked.

M3!:

Plot:
There is distorted, deep blackness everywhere. That place, in which blackness swallowed everything and took away everything, has become known as the Avidya Zone. Strange beings assume the very form of the despair and chaos of humanity. They are known by this name: Imashime. An expedition surveys the Avidya Zone which consumes human spirits. So, in the intricate intersection between the present in impending crisis and the destiny of the past... can eight boys and girls, assembled to confront the Imashime, find the bright future that lies before the Avidya Zone?

Black Bullet!:

Plot:
A near future, where humans have been defeated by the viral parasites named Gastrea. They have been exiled into a small territory and live in despair, side-by-side in terror. In this world trapped in darkness— Rentaro, a boy living near Tokyo and member of the "Civil Security"—an organization specializing in fighting against the Gastrea—is used to accomplishing dangerous tasks. His partner is Enju, a precocious young girl. They fight thanks to their peculiar powers until one day, when they receive a special assignment from the government. This top secret mission is to prevent the destruction of Tokyo... Set in a near future, this thrilling heroic-action story... starts now!

However these are all my opinion and so if you enjoyed them all that's good :)

Well since I don't believe in creating a new topic just to recommend anime especially since this is sort of a topic to recommend anime...

Anyway I have been very, very busy watching anime and have a nice list to recommend.

Monster
(http://i.gyazo.com/71f914807ae53ef47ed187c24847a18e.png)
Kenzou Tenma, a brilliant Japanese brain surgeon working in Germany, saves the life of a small boy who has been shot in the head. Little does he know that doing so would destroy his entire career at the hospital and that his fiancé would leave him. When the hospital director and doctors of the hospital staff are suddenly murdered, he gets a second chance but also renders him as the main suspect to the murders. Life goes on for Tenma as he saves people at the hospital, and he goes back to the joy of being a surgeon again.

Years later, an injured thief gets brought to the hospital. After Tenma saves his life, he finds out that the thief is involved with the rising count of serial murders happening in Germany. Suddenly Tenma is involved in it all when the little boy, who is now a young man, turns up and kills the thief in cold blood right in front of Tenma. Now Tenma must clear his name, find out more about the boy he saved in the past, and reevaluate what the value of life is

No Game No Life
(http://i.gyazo.com/cb132ee7ca4312a650003ad694604141.png)
The story of No Game, No Life centers around Sora and Shiro, a brother and sister whose reputations as brilliant NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) hikikomori (shut-in) gamers have spawned urban legends all over the Internet. These two gamers even consider the real world as just another "crappy game." One day, they are summoned by a boy named "God" to an alternate world. There, God has prohibited war and declared this to be a world where "everything is decided by games"—even national borders. Humanity has been driven back into one remaining city by the other races. Will Sora and Shiro, the good-for-nothing brother and sister, become the "Saviors of Humanity" on this alternate world? "Well, let's start playing."

Persona 3 The Movie

The suspense horror/dark fantasy story is set in Tokyo, which is haunted by mysterious "ghouls" who are devouring humans. People are gripped by the fear of these ghouls whose identities are masked in mystery. An ordinary college student named Kaneki encounters Rize, a girl who is an avid reader like him, at the café he frequents. Little does he realize that his fate will change overnight.

No Description Available.

I have really enjoyed some of these titles and some were okaii, however you must remember I am not really a fan of a lil sister and big brother sort of relationship and if you enjoy that sort of things then No Game, No Life is right up your alley xD.

And as my personal favourite is Monster, a truly gritty work of art and if you want a 75 episode anime to indulge than go right ahead.

Also remember Tokyo Ghoul is a brand new anime released yesterday so there is only one episode and so far it is looking good.

So hope you enjoy these animes that I recommend and hopefully this topic can be brought to life with more suggestions. :D

i gota recomend again "Black lagoon". i am into the 2nd seasion now and i must sya this show is rigth up there with classics like cowboy bebop.

its difnftly one of the better animes i have seen. it is very dark and gritty tho. lot of swearing and volince, and does nto shy away form some of the darkist things in our world, including but not limited too the horrors of communisum, fascisum, islam, child sex trafficiaking and so on.

am having a lot of fun watching it, btu again its not for the faint of heart ^_^

I know its not an anime in the trueist sense, but I am having a lot of fun watching starwars clonewars series.

yes some of the epsioeds are childish, but a lot are pretty decent and a lot of fun to watch.

most recently however I was stuned to wathc an epsioed that pulled no punches. with story lien easly up there with the best animes out there, as well as the music to match. I don't recall the name of the epsioed, but it was the one where the sepertists attack the clone homeworld. where a cuple epsioeds past all came together (domino squad defends station and domino squads beginning, as well as soilder #99) for an ubelaive feast ^_^.

my fav line form it had to have been aninkain (darth vader before he was darth for those who don't know the lore). saying "your right I wont kill you.......but I have no problem letting the clones execute you" ^_^!!!! love the little bits of the dark side coming out of him in it.

the series has a lot of suprsingly dark epsioeds to it, like the storys of boba fet before when he was still a child and his attempts to assiant jedi master windo. the evacuwation of the refuguies of roncar and the jedi lost defending there retreat. the last of a great anchant beast of war. general gerviues secret lair and his forgotten past. the emp cannon ship and the drones hunting down the escape pods. targeting of medical unarmed medical ships. lots of neat darker stuff for a kids show.

for those who don't know the permiues of the show, it follows (mainly) obe one kanobi, anaikain (darth when he was a young adult), and Asoka who is aninkains padawan. as well as (not all the itme but sometimes the main charcitor fo the epsioed) yoda, master windo (he was the guy samual l Jackson played in the movies), vaeryuies other jedi masters, jar jar binks (hes auclty nto bad at all in this series), anikins wife-senator amadaruis, princess leayas adoptive father (whos a senator and was only in the 3rd movie, the oen after cloen wars), general gruivues, ventra the sith assaisn, coutn duko, the emeprerior, rex and codei (the 2 top ranking clones in the cloen army), dimano squad, as well as many many different clones in the clone army and there storys (and yes they each have unique names and personailtys). as well as a number of other senators and fleet commanders and many many more.

it follows a number of those peoples storys and there battles threw out the peiroaid between the 2nd and 3rd movie.

its well worth any ones time whos into star wars, as well as just having some very well done storys too ^_^

First time watching the first series I thought it was a promising anime then the second series felt let down and the Gun Gale Online (Phantom bullet) wasn't my cup of tea and for some reason I feel the entire series just lacks in something... anyway

Psycho Pass 2!

Forgot to mention however the entire first series of psycho pass is being remade and extending over 44 minutes adding in more scenes and when I watched the first episode I nearly exploded with joy to rewatch it.

Also been watching Hamatora the anime which isn't too bad, fills in while I wait for tokyo ghoul, psycho pass 2, and black butler s3 :P

i am sure if I bothered to watch any of those I would probly like them, but honislty at a glance they all look like the same generic angsty teen drama anime.

wheres my cowboy bebops, my blue genders, my wolfs rains, my rahxephans, my last exiles, my vampire hunter Ds, my gundam 08th MS teams, my Gundam War in the Pockets (I still cry over this one), and so on. the darker animes out there.

True however it is more difficult to find new original animes which aren't angsty teens who hasthis urge to save tthe world :/

If that is what you want you gotta try Psycho-Pass or Baccano maybe Darker than Black (its difficult to find more adult based animes actually :P ). And if you want something completely unique and original...

Yami Shibai is what you want.

Shame 90% of all new animes are the angsty teen type but I will find a diamond in the rough.

yea its nutty to find them.

and it doesint need to be doom and gloom all the time, i just dislike the message some of these animes send to there target autiences. its good to be reminded sometimes of reality out there.

that said some of the angsty teen drama animes arnt bad at all. just sometimes it goes to far, and that it seems to be the popular thing now, kinda ruins it for some.

i havint seen any recent classics along the lines of the stuff i posted in the previues post of mine. and i know trends change, just i feel liek we are stuck in a rut in angty teen dramas, attack on titatn was a great break form that, but it only had 20 some odd epsioeds and now i need more stuff along it's lines XD ^_^

However if you break down AoT it's a story of a angsty teen who lost his mother and wants to kill everything... the only differece was the characters outline in sharpee :P as of the last three months I have only found one which isn't based around a teen/action, teen/romance, teen/echii which is ridiculous :/

E.g. Agahime Kill, Tokyo Ghoul, Terror in Renesonce (spelt horribly wrong), Black Butler, Hamatora, Dramatical Murder and a few more were action/horror genre released just over a month however they all contain angsty teens who hate the world... except hamatora which still has teens but aren't that angsty...

No idea. I watched it on Netflix when they had it. I'd assume they wouldn't cut anything since it's Adult Swim.

I am an anime vacuum, more would be GREAT! :)

some of the better darker animes out there I have seen:

Vampire hunter D (2nd one was good too, but not as dark)

Blue Gender

Wolfs Rain (theres 2 versions of the last 4 epsioeds, the oringal is inasnly dark compaired to the redo)

Rahxephan (think evingalion, only 1000 times darker)

neon geneiues evneglaion: the end of evingilion movie (the movie that redid the last 2 eposieods of the original series)

Last Exile (starts off happy, gets brutaly dark as goes on, littrly after epsioed 5-6 gets better with each epsioed)

gundam 08th MS team (you may not think dark with gundam, 08th goes there with the brutality of real war)

Gundam War in the Pocket (I still cry over this one)

Armatige the III

Blue sub #6

Ghost in the shell 2 Innocince

Samuria Champlo (very deep into Japanese fudeal age history)

Grave of Fireflys (the darkist out there that there is, my heart weeps)

justice leage/unlimited (I know this isint a ture anime, but theres a cuple epsioeds that are beyond dark)

Batman the dark knight (WHY WONT THEY MAKE THE 3RD PART!!!!, if they ever did it gets nutty dark. 1/2 is good too)

Heavy metal (again not a true anime, but its close enough)

Afro Samurai (some of the best works of art in this anime, as well as being deeply dark. the sky fight is mind blowing, like watching a work of art come alive right in front of you)

Afro Samurai Resoruction (the countuation of afro, still follows the original story too)

Batman the animated series (again nto a true anime, but very goth and dark)

Batman beyond (not ture anaime, but dark)

Batman beyond return of the joker (not true anaime, but very very dark)

Plantet Hulk

All Dogs go to Heaven ("lolwut agy?" you may ask, this isint your run of the mill feel good cartoon, this got deep into the notion of "if your a bad persion your going to hell" and they dotn shy away form that at all, expcial;y baltos nightmare. its suspringly dark for a childrens movie)

Wizards (the original Dark anime its self. blending insane things like future tech/the power of Nazi prapaganda/religion/magic. and IMO the greatest most insane out of left field twist for any moive or tv show cartoon/anime I have ever seen in my life, and probly will see, that aculty still manged to make sense too to boot. I still get shutters thinking of the twsit, its very powerful.)

Todd McFarlane's Spawn (need I say more?)

BettleJuice (the cartoon series, while yes not a true anime, it was supringly dark in a funny way. also lydia is my hero in it.)

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (not a ture anime, but deeply deeply dark. joker is flawless in this one)

Akira

Nabari no Ou (never finshed it, so nto sure if it ends dark)

Le Chevalier D'Eon (amazing work of art, that's aculty based on a true story. it attempts to fill in what happened to the real life man during this time that history couldent figure out. it gets deep into pre revolution era Franch and Russia history. and most of the christors in it are real life historical figures. natruly the anime takes libierty with things like magic and such. to help explain the gaps in history. but again its a fine amazing work of art. and yes it gets very very dark, as real history tends to be)

Blassreiter (for those times you need the brutal pulls no punches dark dark dark dark anime.)

Blood+ (you name it, this anime has it. starts off kinda slow, but then gets brutal and dark)

Basilisk (an ugly dark romeio and julit style anime.......there were times I was ready to stop watching it how brutal it got, not my kinda dark, but deeply ugly dark it is)

Dead Leaves (does the plot make sense? no no no XD. funny dark anime)

Batman: Year One (even year one, bats was dark)

Death Note (while I wish it ended difnrtly, its a good anime that's dark for sure)

Trigun (old style dark anime, well worth a watch)

Gun X Sword (supringly dark anime, cool story line, mecha anime.)

Superman/Batman: Public Enemies (cool story line where lex becomes president. and turns littrly every oen againt batman and soups (yea I just called superman soups). nice darkness to it with lex, lex is perfect in this)

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (amazing story line, and gets very dark. well worth it anime)

Big Wars (wildly dark anime stand alone movie. its realtivly unheard of sadly. it was a very cool idea and gets very dark. they really had the chance to do deep deep lore with this story lien if they ever wanted to)

Heat Guy J (never finished it sadly, but from what I saw t was dark. and a lot of fun. "........wheres my bunny........." ^_^)

Attack on Titan (like I am not gona mention this XD)

Venues Wars (very good anime, very good story line, again a stand alone movie that has a TON of lore potentional if they ever wanted to. ether way its a dang good plot and gets very dark. as war tends to do.)

The Secret of NIMH (surpisngly dark, yes its a kids movie. but much like all dogs, it does not shy away at all form the darkness in life.)

theres tons of others.........but agys tired XD ^_^

Gurren Lagann is literally the definition of most epic anime ever.

I definitely liked the anime (as Yoko is on my profile page :3 )

However, the anime did go a little overboard with the whole "this isn't even my final form!" cliche, which is abundant in the several action animes that I have watched.
In short, Yoko made the show for me.

I agree, the teen stuff and the SUPER cute stuff can get old after a while. Sometimes a little morbid darkness, or bleak outlook animes are needed to break that stuff up. Plus! Some of these are REALLY good. But yes, definitely true Agy.

School Days.

Well, it's not necessarily a "non-happy ending", but it has the perfect ending for how the anime played out.

If you are going to watch this one, DONT look up anything about the anime. Just watch it. Looking up information will ruin the experience. There are plenty of spoilers everywhere on the web about this one...

I've noticed A LOT of people raving about Space Dandy. I have yet to see it, but I hear good things! what is it about?

the trialor for that epsioed i was talking about, i was gona edit but since you beat me to it ^_^

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4oHgEDZTCQ

the seruies its self only has a very loose storyline. about 2 empires the gycro empire and the googlo (a clear joek about google) empire fithging. the googlo empires leader seems to think dandy has a paicle power in him or a speicle energy. they never get into it to much. most of the time the googlos empires #2 and his asstint tryign to get dandy, but always beign fooled by just dumb luck.

dandy him self is just a lowly alein hunter, with his robot QT. who travel around tryign to find unknown aleins to get them registerd to get big money. they meet up with meow in the first eoeped, and they becoem instant BFFs. so all 3 of them run around tryign to fidn new aleins,m witch natruly gets them into tons of truble, they tend to die sometimes but the seruies doeisnt care. it doeisn ttake its self seruesly at all in the first seasion. this 2nd seasion tho its starting ot get more seuries and into deep storys abotu diffrent aleins and worlds. but theres still tons of comady.

you can tell theres a lot of famos voice actors in the show, includign johhny young bosh, and the guy who did the fuerir form fullmetal alacamhist. and some others. ^_^

its ana aamazing anaime, with 2 seasions so far ^_^. i highly recomend it ^_^

it ranges form outright sillyness. to very veyr very deep seruies storys. theres always a laugh to be had, but it does get deep into seruies things sometimes about life. 11/10 ^_^

i'm adding it ot my dark list after that last epsioed ^_^!!!!!!!! it was so buitufal ^_^!!!!!!!!!

your evil.....

They enjoy watching dark animes, so I figured this one sits quite nicely in that category.
Though it's not really "dark", but more "realistic", as in the events that take place in the anime could happen (and probably has). It's a rude slap in the face for happy-go-lucky animes that make light of love triangles and the emotional toll on those neglected in a relationship.

... Ive said too much. Those who havent seen it, go watch it. It will be quite the experience.

Can anybody recommend an anime that I could get my girlfriend into? It needs to be dubbed to English (she had trouble with the first episode of attack on Titan because of subtitles and only watched episode one) she's the kind of girl who deep down likes romance but not a blatant love story, the occult fascinates her, and she has a pickled deer heart in her room and my Christmas gift to her for this year is a pig Fetus if that helps with what her tastes are. Maybe somethig short (14-25 episodes) so she can get the feel for watching a full series.
Thanks in advance,
Your friendly neighbourhood Ben

Chrono Crusade?

It's about an Order of nuns who are packin' heat; carry .45 caliber hand cannons to exorcize demons. There's a love story between the demon Chrono and the main character nun Rosette. It's english dubbed too. About 27ish episodes I believe.

Does it come off as girly? Is there a lot of fanservice (as an American boy I dread how people can see nuns and catholic girls)? Another thing as a girl she liked transformers and power rangers. Also I was thinking something with more swords less guns but that's my preference only that doesn't have to be a deciding factor and thanks ill check out chrono crusade and see if its something shed be into

Err, it's not really girly. More of in-between; both genders can enjoy the show.
It has action in the plot, where the majority of the plot if uncovering the demon Aion's dark plans, while simultaneously trying to combat the clock running out for Rosette and Chrono. Little to no fan service. The nun Order is more to ground the characters in a setting of "good vs evil" in terms of the plot (Nuns being good). It doesn't really have a lot of swords; maybe one or two characters carry one.

I saw where you had said "the occult" and "not a blatant love story" so that what made me think of Chrono Crusade. It might not be what you're looking for though.

Just finished 22 Episodes of Shiki, pretty good watch.

Plot:
The story takes place in a particularly hot summer in the 1990s, in a small quiet Japanese village called Sotoba. A series of mysterious deaths begin to spread in the village, at the same time when a strange family moves into the long-abandoned Kanemasa mansion.

watching hellsing ultimaite

this is the oen that's suspied to follow the manga more closly...........instead this is utter nonsense and is a joke.

theres lots of exstream deviations form the managa, and even worse this is not a serieus anime at all like the orginal was. theres waaaaaaaaaay to much joking around and screwing around that has nothing to do with any thing. just as bad they are rushing things to much. the manga was rather very sueires about things and took its time to exsplain things. this anaime is like it excepted you to read the manga already and now its just having fun for the sake of fun. there riushung it so much that in oen scene it doesint even have the female bad guy vampie running away, she just shows up magickly on the street running. then when shes shot and killed it shows tears in her eyes, it doesint even bother to exspaklin why she would be crying like ti does in the manga.......why did it even sho the tears if there not gona exspalin what she was upto >.>

granted this is only epsoed 1 of 10 (there an hour long each). but idk this doesint feel right.

side note: am amazed they got away with the croch rub thing on serias (female lead) in the begging of the show. would have exspacted it to have been censored.

edit: another thing I hate is they are nto going into seruias (the fermale leads) struggle wioth becoming a vampire at all.......they just throw it out there.........

saw the 2nd and 3rd epsioed of hellsing ultimate.

I am happier with it now then I was before. but for sure they still rush a cuple parts. as well as there not 100% true to the anime (as in the scne with the merc caption, they where outside and they where already training when seruais showed up and beat up the csption to show she was a vampire, that didn't happen in the show).

any who, I am having fun watching it, just I wish they would stop rushing things. its not a bad anine, but honestly if I hadint read most of the manga already I might be very lost.

saw the last epsoieods of bleach finaly.

the 15th seasion started kinda strange. was kinda slow. but the last 10 epsioeds were epic. it tied in things all the way form near the begginign of the series. really wild twists and craziness. was difntly well worth it.

I am gona miss it now. as it stands its been some year/s or so since theres been new epsioeds. the manga its self is still going tho. and hops to keep going for years. but theres no time table for new epsioeds sadly :(

great series if you ever get the chance to watch it (just skip the filler seasions...........exopcaily the bount arch filler).

My favorite anime of this season is...
Parasyte -The Maxim-
(http://i62.tinypic.com/28s30cx.jpg)

Summary

Parasyte centers on a 17-year-old teen named Shinichi Izumi, who lives with his mother and father in a quiet neighborhood in Tokyo. One night, worm-like creatures called Parasites appear on Earth, taking over the brains of human hosts by entering through their ears or noses. One Parasite attempts to crawl into Shinichi's ear while he sleeps, but fails as Shinichi is wearing headphones, and enters his body by burrowing into his arm instead. In the Japanese version, it takes over his right hand and is named Migi (ミギー?)

Because Shinichi was able to prevent Migi from travelling further up into his brain, both beings retain their separate intellect and personality. As the duo encounter other Parasites, they capitalize on their strange situation and gradually form a strong bond, working together to survive. This gives them an edge in battling other Parasites who frequently attack the pair upon realization that Shinichi's human brain is still intact. Shinichi feels compelled to fight other Parasites, who devour humans as food, while enlisting Migi's help.

Characters (Caution Spoilers)
Shinichi Izumi (泉 新一 Izumi Shin'ichi)
Voiced by: Nobunaga Shimazaki
Shinichi is the protagonist of the manga, a thoughtful, compassionate high-school boy whose hand is infected with a Parasite. Shinichi is repeatedly put into difficult positions. He must find a way to peacefully coexist with Migi, the Parasite which has taken over his hand, and reconcile his desire to protect humanity from the Parasites with his desire to keep his own Parasite a secret in order to avoid being killed or used as a laboratory specimen. Like a superhero with a secret identity, he must also find a way to explain away his Parasite-fighting activities, as well as the stress and grief they cause him, to his friends and family. Shinichi's retention of a human mind, emotion, and sensibilities causes other Parasites to see him as a threat. He and his Parasite must defend themselves from attacks by other Parasites, and their ability to think and act independently, and as a team, gives them a tactical edge over normal Parasites.
Masanori Harada, a 20-year old student, wrote to the editor of the Monthly Afternoon noted that Shinichi acts calm when he is threatened and that he is "not human anymore!" Iwaaki responded, stating that Shinichi is accustomed to "close calls" partly because Migi calms Shinichi down during battle. The statement and response were printed in the April 1993 Afternoon.[2] Played by Shota Sometani.

Migi (ミギー Migī, also called "Righty")
Voiced by: Aya Hirano (voice), Rinka (sound effect)[3]
Migi is the Parasite which lives in Shinichi's hand. Unlike "successful" Parasites, Migi has no desire to kill humans for sustenance, and is nourished by the food Shinichi eats. Migi is, like other Parasites, completely without emotion. His primary consideration is survival, and he has threatened (and in some cases attempted) to kill other humans who pose a threat to his and Shinichi's secrecy. When he and Shinichi were first coming to terms, he even threatened to remove Shinichi's other limbs in order to render him unable to place the two of them in danger. Migi can be reasoned with, however, and has just as much reason to be mistrustful of other Parasites as does Shinichi. On the other hand, unlike Shinichi, Migi has no inclination to place himself at risk in order to protect other humans from Parasites. As the series goes along however, he becomes more human, whereas the reverse happens to Shinichi, up until an event involving a baby occurs.
Iwaaki explained that while Migi appears to be Shinichi's weapon, in fact Migi is in control of the battle and orders around Shinichi. Iwaaki explained that Migi is easily able to order Shinichi since Shinichi is young and "needs guidance", while Migi would find difficulty if he became a part of a politician or a president of a company since in that scenario Migi and his host would argue a lot.[2]
An 18-year old from Saitama Prefecture named "Midari" asked in the letters to the editor that if Migi took Shinichi's left hand, if he would have been named "Hidari". Iwaaki answered that it would be Hidari, but Iwaaki felt that the name would be similar to those of Bokuzen Hidari or Tenpei Hidari and the name would "bring to mind a doddering old man, so that wouldn't have been a good idea". Iwaaki then said that the first man to climb Mount Everest "had a name an awful lot like that..."[4] Voiced in live-action films by Sadao Abe.

Satomi Murano (村野 里美 Murano Satomi)
Voiced by: Kana Hanazawa
Shinichi's best friend and sometime companion. Shinichi and Satomi develop a romantic relationship over the course of the series, but their attraction to and fondness for one another is hampered by Shinichi's fear of his own monstrous nature, and Satomi's fear of Shinichi's secretive behavior and the mood swings that result from the trials and tribulations in his life. Up until the last volume, she has no idea about Migi, until a near death experience may have driven him to use his abilities without Shinichi's realization. Played by Ai Hashimoto.
Kazuyuki Izumi (泉 一之 Izumi Kazuyuki)

Voiced by: Masaki Aizawa
Kazuyuki is Shinichi's father. Shortly after his wife was killed by a Parasite, he had some suspicions as to whether or not Shinichi was infected (although he never said so outright).

Nobuko Izumi (泉 信子 Izumi Nobuko)
Voiced by: Chieko Sasai
Nobuko is Shinichi's mother. She 'dies' early on when she is taken over by a Parasite, and stabs Shinichi through the heart when he refuses to accept it; she is then killed later on by a tag team of Shinichi and Uda.

Reiko Tamura (田村 玲子 Tamura Reiko)
Voiced by: Atsuko Tanaka
A Parasite who, coincidentally, infected Ryōko Tamiya (田宮 良子 Tamiya Ryōko), one of Shinichi's high school teachers. After the Parasite took over Ryōko Tamiya's body, the Parasite took the name "Reiko Tamura". Reiko has scientific inclinations, and is driven to discover the biology, origin, and purpose of Parasites. Reiko discovers—by becoming impregnated by another Parasite named Mr. A—that a pregnant Parasite will bear a normal, human child, and that Parasites have no apparent means of reproduction. Reiko is more logical and reasonable than many other Parasites, and allows Shinichi to live unmolested largely because she finds him an interesting anomaly worthy of study. She eventually gives birth to Mr. A's baby; after betraying her fellow Parasites and killing quite a few of them, the police brutally kill her. The baby survives because of her decision not to fight back against the police. Played by Eri Fukatsu.

Kana (加奈)
Voiced by: Miyuki Sawashiro
Kana is a disobedient "bad girl" who develops a crush on Shinichi. She is attracted to him because of his sensitive personality, and because she can sense something "different" about him. In reality, Kana has an unexplained psychic ability to sense Parasites. However, her senses are not as fine tuned as those of the Parasites themselves, and she cannot tell whether she is sensing the presence of Shinichi or of a normal Parasite, putting her in considerable danger. This ability is eventually what leads to her death when she is told about the Parasites, and a total breakdown of Shinichi for a good volume or so, until he recovers from it; the after effects of this lead to estranging him from his friends and get police to keep an eye on him, all of which last until near the final volume.

Mamoru Uda (宇田 守 Uda Mamoru)
Voiced by: Takuma Suzuki
Uda is, like Shinichi, a human who had a Parasite merge with a part of his body other than his brain. In Uda's case, the Parasite lodged in the lower part of his head. Uda's Parasite originally does not have a name, but is later renamed Jaw (ジョー Jō)(Voiced by: Ayumu Murase). It is brash and crude—it even seems to have a sense of humor—and sometimes assumes control of Uda's mouth, distorting it into odd shapes and forcing Uda to say strange or inappropriate things. The pair befriends Shinichi and Migi, but prefer to simply avoid Parasites. Because Uda is slightly overweight and his Parasite is located in the jaw area, fights with other Parasites tend to leave him out of breath. However, because it is located in the lower part of the head, his Parasite can extend itself downward into his chest, protecting his heart (a popular target in Parasite duels). Uda is normally a peaceful, easygoing man, but is nervous under pressure and cries easily. He works as a hotel employee.

Hideo Shimada (島田 秀雄 Shimada Hideo)
Voiced by: Akira Ishida
Hideo is a Parasite with a teenager's body who decides to integrate with human society. Hideo enrolls in Shinichi's high school and expresses a desire to become friends with Shinichi, who does not trust him. Although Hideo is a relatively peaceful Parasite, he has no qualms about brutalizing or even killing bullies who try to start fights with him, and he continues to hunt humans (although he claims that he is learning to eat normal food instead). He is killed by Shinichi and Migi after another student discovers his secret and confronts him about it, causing him to go on a killing spree.

Mr. A (A Ē)
Voiced by: Makoto Yasumura
Mr. A is a Parasite who considers Shinichi a threat. Reiko calls him a fool while Migi describes him as "not one of our smart ones". Mr. A has no capacity for subtlety or deception, and no qualms about using his shapeshifting abilities in view of the public, reasoning that he can always get out of trouble by fighting, running away, and changing into a different face. Mr. A (or rather, his host body) is the father of Reiko's child. Shinichi is forced to battle Mr. A when he attempts to hunt Shinichi down and kill him at school. Though Shinichi and Migi badly wound him, they are forced to flee before he can be completely destroyed. He is killed after their battle by Reiko Tamura for endangering her undercover lifestyle.
Gotō (後藤)
Gotō is an 'experimental' Parasite created by Reiko. He is actually a combination of several Parasites, whose shapeshifting ability has advanced to the point where they can switch positions, each forming a different limb as the situation requires. Gotō is the most intelligent and skilled, and is the de facto leader of the composite body. Because his head and all of his limbs are made of Parasite cells, Gotō is much faster, stronger, and more dangerous than standard Parasites, and nearly impossible to injure. Gotō is able to use the Parasites in his legs to change the shape of his feet and ankles to give him an advantage in mobility, or speed, when fighting. Gotō is the last Parasite that Shinichi and Migi take down; Gotō actually ends up causing the temporary death of Migi, and absorbs Migi into his body for a small period of time. Shinichi is left with only one arm during this period, but manages to recover Migi and secures victory. The name "Gotō" is a pun as one of the kanji is synonymous with the kanji for five (五 go), implying he can control 5 Parasites,[5] whereas the other Parasite in the same body called Miki (三木, lit. Three trees) can control only 3; Miki also has an additional meaning, being similar to "Migī".[5]

Takeshi Hirokawa (広川 剛志 Hirokawa Takeshi)
Voiced by: Yuu Mizushima
Hirokawa is the leader of a cabal of Parasites which counts Reiko and Goto among its members. The group attempts to accrue political power in order to set up safehouses where they can take their victims, killing and eating them in secret. Hirokawa gains election to the office of mayor in East Fukuyama City, a small town (by Japanese standards) of 500,000 people close to Shinichi's hometown. Hirokawa wins by running on a campaign centered on locally based environmentalism. Secretly, Hirokawa is a radical environmentalist who believes that the Parasites' purpose is to cull the human population, standing one step above them on the food chain. The police force kills Hirokawa and discovers that he was never a Parasite, but a human Parasite sympathizer.

My second favorite anime of this season is...
Nanatsu no taizai (The Seven Deadly Sins)

Summary

The Seven Deadly Sins were once an active group of knights in the region of Britannia (ブリタニア Buritania?), who disbanded after they supposedly plotted to overthrow the Liones Kingdom (リオネス王国 Rionesu Ōkoku?). Their supposed defeat came at the hands of the Holy Knights, but rumors continued to persist that they were still alive. Ten years later, the Holy Knights staged a coup d'état and captured the king, becoming the new, tyrannical rulers of the kingdom. The third princess, Elizabeth, then starts out on a journey to find the Seven Deadly Sins and enlist their help in taking back the kingdom.

Another good anime is...
Magi (There is two seasons and a OVA)

Summary

After being secluded for his entire life, a boy called Aladdin travels the world until he meets Alibaba Saluja, a young man aiming to one day explore the nearby dungeon Amon and claim its treasures. Aladdin and Alibaba eventually become friends, and conquer Amon together, despite facing the opposition of the ruthless Jamil and his slave warriors, with only Alibaba, Aladdin and Morgiana, the only survivor of Jamil's party, escaping with their lives. For some reason, Aladdin ends up teleported to a distant land, far away from the others, where he learns that he is a Magi. Having no news of his friend, Alibaba uses the treasure he obtained in Amon to free all slaves in the city, including Morgiana and returns to Balbadd, his homeland.

After having their own adventures in separate locations, Aladdin and Morgiana end up reuniting with Alibaba in Balbadd where they learn that he has joined the Fog Troupe, a cadre of thieves opposing the tyrannical rule of King Abhmad, Alibaba's half-brother. Helped by Aladdin, Morgiana and Sinbad, a famous king of the island country of Sindria, Alibaba manages to have the monarchy dissolved and establishes a republic in Balbadd. However, Balbadd ends up annexed to the Kou Empire, a powerful Eastern nation that plans to conquer the entire world under the pretense to put an end to all conflict between the nations.

Following the events in Balbadd, Aladdin, Alibaba and Morgiana are brought to Sindria, where they train under members of Sinbad's household to increase their abilities and help him with his mission to stop the mysterious organization Al Thamen that works in the shadows to spread chaos throughout the world as part of an unknown agenda. The trio ends up befriending Hakuryuu Ren, a prince of the Kou Empire visiting Sindria and whom they help to conquer the dungeon Zagan. After confronting some members of Al Thamen, Aladdin and his friends go separate ways for personal reasons, promising to rejoin together in the future. Aladdin enrolls in the Magnostadt Academy to study magic, Alibaba leaves to improve his swordsmanship and learn magoi manipulation in order to complete his djinn equip with the Yambala Gladiators in the Reim Empire, Hakuryuu returns to the Kou Empire, and Morgiana departs to the Dark Continent to fulfill her dream of visiting her homeland.

One year later, Aladdin and Alibaba are reunited during Reim's campaign to conquer Magnostadt and after they help defend the city, the Kou Empire launches a surprise attack. To defeat the invaders for good, the city's leader Matal Mogamett summons an army of Dark Djinns with a huge mass of Black Rukh stored in its deepest level. However, Aladdin reveals that by doing this, Mogamett unwillingly helped Al-Thamen to get closer to their main objective, which is to summon their god, Il Illa, whose advent will cause the world's destruction. To prevent it from happening, Aladdin and his friends join forces with the Kou Empire, the Reim Empire and Sinbad's confederation, the Alliance of Seven Seas to stop the summoning.

A few months later, representatives from Kou, Reim and Sindria gather for a summit organized by Sinbad. In the occasion, Aladdin reveals all the truth regarding Al-Thamen, their role in the destruction of Alma-Torran, which is the original world of mankind, among several other species with intelligence, each having their own civilization, and their exodus to the current world. However, the summit is interrupted by news that Hakuryuu seized power in the Kou Empire, overthrowing his mother and empress Gyokuen Ren, who is also revealed to be Arba, the founder and leader of Al-Thamen.

Adventure of Sinbad
The spin-off manga titled Adventure of Sinbad (シンドバッドの冒険 Shindobaddo no Bōken?) follows the origins of Sinbad, years before he becomes the King of Sindria. Originally living in the Parthevia Empire with his father Badr, a war veteran and his mother Esra, Sinbad loses his father due to the war against the Reim Empire, and spends his youth helping the local villagers and tending to his ill mother until he meets and shelters the mysterious Yunan, unaware that he is a Magi. By request of his mother and learning of his determination to change the world for the better, Yunan decides to guide Sinbad and instructs him to challenge the Dungeon "Baal" that appeared in the border between Partevia and Reim, and whose treasures were still unclaimed as thousands of warriors from both empires had challenged it, but none of them survived, except by Sinbad himself and a Parthevian noble whom he nicknamed "Drakon". After defeating Drakon in battle, Sinbad conquers Baal and gains the allegiance of the Djinn residing there, thus becoming the first ever Dungeon Capturer. Sinbad returns home in time to have one last encounter with his mother at her deathbed and leaves Parthevia to start his own journey to change the world.

Tokyo Ghoul √A
(http://cdn.myanimelist.net/images/anime/10/69237.jpg)
It will be airing January 8th and it will be following the original draft of Tokyo Ghoul and will be 24 episodes, so it probably won't have anything to do with the first season of Tokyo Ghoul (which they did kinda f*&^ up the first season but it was still good and they could have still continued it, even the original creator thought they messed it up) and this time the original creator will be working on Tokyo Ghoul √A so it should be really good! when it comes out I totally recommend it! since Tokyo Ghoul is my favorite manga!

Didn't even see your second post xD my bad I meant Parasyte -The Maxim I just can't get the constant swich of genres and the music is usually a key part for me and from one second intense suspension, action to a romantic flick between one character to another completely throws me off.

finished hellsing ultimate. one of the best animes I have seen. some crazy twists and turns.

it aculty starts to get heavy into the bram strokers Dracula lore twords the end, as well as some of the real life hero draculas history.

anime was top notch and so was the story.

it has 10 epsioioeds, each an hour long, save the last one that is 1.5 hours long. the extra half hour is to wrap things up. and it aculty wraps them up nicly. showing the next 30 years after the main story line.

well worth your time if your a fan of anime.

my only complaint would be the first epsioed or 2 is rushed. much like they did with full metal brother hood, as theres another verson of hellsing that only the first half of the serueis follows the manga. and it follows the beginning of the manga better. so maybe read up on the beginning of the manga first.
but the rest of the anime involving the Nazis is spot on with the manga.

I think I am on the last epsioed or close to it for gurren lagan now.

I stand by the first half of the series was not bad but not amazing. but it was needed to set the stage and charictor development of the 2nd mindblowing amazxing half ^_^!!!!

on epsioed 26 now, its like a scifi fans dream come true, the battle they are having has some of the coolist scfi things in it. battleships the size of entire galaxys, alternet dimension ships hurling entire planets as missles at people. warping of space and time, reality engineering, probability altering missles!

"the shields are blocking every thing!"
"then how are we bing hit still!!?!?!"
"probability altering missles.....they are negating the probability of us negating a attack."
"they can negaite probabitly!? I thoguth that was gods domain?"

such a cool battle ^_^!!!!
and it just gets wilder, (the face ships changing there faces to angoy and such freak me out. xD).

"becarful they are probly using a random short warp to sneak up on us, they are manipulating multi deminsional probailty, attacking as they shift along the time axis"

the music in the background is perfect for the wombo sized battle too ^_^

I love it, the enemy hiding in both the past and the future at the same time in order to attack at random the ship in the present. XD

.................(mind blown) omnipresent trap :O!!!!!!!! thats soooooooooo coooool!!!!!!! ^_^!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww my heart was broken seeing apes one true dream :( agy loves him! ^_^

such a cra cra anaime, agy recommends it if you can get threw the first half XD ^_^

I've included the links for the OP and ED in case some of you are like me and have their interest piqued by an animes ED or OP :D

Want a good recommendation? Get Crunchyroll. Worth it. Also considering Akame ga Kill! not sure how it will be though, anyone seen it?

EDIT: If you have anything for me to watch. I prefer mature serious anime's. Nothing with school girls, or SUPREME fan-girling. Things like Ghost In The Shell-serious. Etc.

It is very serious, it also has a lot of symbolism you can pick up on if you like things with a deeper meaning than they first appear.

I'm into more serious amines myself, looking for something to watch currently in that tone.

Alright boys and girls, time for my anime picks of the season!
1.  One Punch Man (http://myanimelist.net/anime/30276/One_Punch_Man)
Maaaaaaan, this anime has the potential to be AoTY for me. God it's hilarious so far with a slightly serious story behind it. If you want to see an OP character who knows he is OP and comedy in the mix then this is your anime!
2. Sakurako San no Ashimoto no wa avocadoai ga Umayteiru (http://myanimelist.net/anime/30187/Sakurako-san_no_Ashimoto_ni_wa_avocadoai_ga_Umatteiru)
Hot damn, if you like mystery then do I have the show for you this season! Sakurako is visually stunning (at least it is to me) and it is very interesting so far, it's one of the shows that I look forward to every week.(Besides, Sakurako is a babe)
3. Rakudai Kishi No Cavalry (http://myanimelist.net/anime/30296/Rakudai_Kishi_no_Cavalry)
Out of the three battle school harem shows this season, I like this one the most. I feel like the romance is a bit better than the other two (yay for not having a sense mc!) and the fight scenes are sweet (Thank you Based Silver Link). I'm not saying the other two Battle school shows are bad, Asterisk is actually also sweet with some nasty behind the scenes politics going on.

Sorry for the poor reviews but I just wanted to put my two cents in for this season, there are a lot of sweet shows that I didn't mention above so here they are: Noragami Aragato (http://myanimelist.net/anime/30503/Noragami_Aragoto), 2nd Season of Owari No Sereph (http://myanimelist.net/anime/28927/Owari_no_Seraph:_Nagoya_Kessen-hen),  Gakusen Toshi Asterisk (http://myanimelist.net/anime/30544/Gakusen_Toshi_Asterisk),  Taimadou Gakuen 35 Shiken Shoutai (http://myanimelist.net/anime/24133/Taimadou_Gakuen_35_Shiken_Shoutai)

Dont scold me for my piss poor reveiws/horrible taste in anime

I haven't really been watching anime lately but today I decided to go ahead and fully watch something so I watched
Nanatsu no Taizai
"The Seven Deadly Sins"

In a world similar to the European Middle Ages, the feared yet revered Holy Knights of Britannia use immensely powerful magic to protect the region of Britannia and its kingdoms. However, a small subset of the Knights supposedly betrayed their homeland and turned their blades against their comrades in an attempt to overthrow the ruler of Liones. They were defeated by the Holy Knights, but rumors continued to persist that these legendary knights, called the "Seven Deadly Sins," were still alive. Ten years later, the Holy Knights themselves staged a coup d’état, and thus became the new, tyrannical rulers of the Kingdom of Liones.

Based on the best-selling manga series of the same name, Nanatsu no Taizai follows the adventures of Elizabeth, the third princess of the Kingdom of Liones, and her search for the Seven Deadly Sins. With their help, she endeavors to not only take back her kingdom from the Holy Knights, but to also seek justice in an unjust world.

A-1 Pictures
Episodes: 24
Genre: Action,Adventure,Fantasy, Shounen, Supernatural

A Season 2 has been announced for 2016

This is one of the animes that I could actually sit through and not look how much longer til I was finished with the episode, it had some pretty good fights in it which is something I always like.

So I would recommend this anime

Hey! I felt like recommending a new anime that just came out this season, ERASED! (Here's the MAL link :3 :http://myanimelist.net/anime/31043/Boku_dake_ga_Inai_Machi)
I really like this anime due to the cinematography, the great quality in the art style and animation, the great voice acting, the great OP and ED and it just keeps me wanting more after each episode. I can't wait to se the anime continue and hope the end will be just as good as these first few episodes. It does incorporate some more mature elements from what I've seen (Murder, abuse and kidnapping) due to the plot of the show. Overall I feel as though this will be one of the better animes of the season (who knows though, we still have 3 seasons left)

A good anime is Grimgar of fantasy and ash

Awaken... This is the only thing the youth of Hai to Gensou no Grimgar remember before awakening in an unknown building in a medieval landscape enshrouded in darkness. They don't remember anything besides their own names. What's stranger is that sometimes they catch themselves saying words that they don't understand, even though they seem so familiar. The group of strangers is told that in order to make a living, they would have to join the Reserve Army forces to keep the town safe from nearby monsters. The stronger looking people form a team to join the Reserve Army and depart, leaving Manato, Haruhiro, Ranta, Yume, Mogzo, and Shihoru to fend for themselves. But how will they get by if they can't even defeat the weakest of monsters? Born from the ashes of their old memories, the ragtag team of six start a new life in the world of Grimgar.
I'm reading both the light novel and the manga and it's pretty good if you like the type.

I recommend fairytail ofc

http://myanimelist.net/anime/30831/Kono_Subarashii_Sekai_ni_Shukufuku_wo
This one is good too, the main character is killed while pushing a girl out of the way of a truck and later finds out it was a tractor and he died from shock instead, it's really funny

Kazuma Satou, a high school student, gamer and shut-in, died on an average day walking home from school, performing the one heroic act of his life. He reawakens in the afterlife, greeted by a beautiful but rude girl named Aqua, who claims to be a goddess that guides the youth whose lives got cut short. Aqua then offers him a choice: to go to heaven, or to get sent to a another world to defeat the Demon King. Of course, Kazuma's gamer instincts kick in, and he chooses to start a new life in a real-life RPG. There's one last choice Kazuma has to make: he is allowed the choice of one thing to take with him to the new world. After puzzling over it, he chooses...Aqua? Join Kazuma on his adventures as he tries to transfer his virtual gaming knowledge to real-life adventurer experience!

This is my watch list, you can tell what types of anime I like http://myanimelist.net/animelist/FairytailIsLove&status=7

If you like light novels there's this guy GM rusakus reading list, he has pretty similar tastes to me http://www.novelupdates.com/readlist/?uid=4603

If you're into manga I highly recommend happiness by oshimi shuzo
If manwha I recommend combat continent and combat continent 2 (I prefer #2)

This is probably something I should have watched years ago but just only got around to seeing it a few weeks back. Fullmetal Alchemist. I really should have watched this back when it came out instead of putting it off till the present. All I can say is that I absolutely loved it. I went ahead and watched Brotherhood after I finished the original as well. Almost two completely different stories it seems but both of them were excellent and both worth watching. Not sure which one I liked better.

Needless to say if you have been putting it off like me then you should definitely get around to watching it. It will not disappoint.

Great choices! I suggest trying out Ajin (http://myanimelist.net/anime/31580/Ajin) while it is CG the story gets a little dark and interesting with a sweet villain. What's Pandora about/how is it so far?
