Title: Call of Duty: Ghosts
Post by: Pride on April 13, 2013, 04:32:13 PM
Call Of Duty Ghost

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zxnx3W-HA18

In Call of Duty: Ghosts players will take the role of Hesh in the Ghost military outfit. However, Hesh won't remain the character's final name as Infinity Ward's Executive Producer, Mark Rubin, states that Hesh will stay as a placeholder until the studio decides on something more suitable. Mark Rubin explained that the name comes from a skater term that the studio used throughout development.

As for the overall story, Infinity War informed Gamefront that America continues to fight a war with the South American Federation of Countries. America's crippled state and the Federation's access to resources, allowed the Federation to become a world superpowers in the year 2023. As for weaponry, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 took place only two years after, but did not face a catastrophic event to delay scientific advancement.

Information and Release Date

Call of Duty: Ghosts is the latest entry in the long-running Call of Duty first person-shooter series, being developed by Infinity Ward and set to be published by Activision, making it the first Call of Duty game to be lead developed by Infinity Ward since Modern Warfare 3 in 2011.

Call of Duty: Ghosts promises to reinvigorate the franchise, creating a whole new sub-brand, a brand new game engine and will introduce new ideas and experiences to the series. It is in development for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii U, PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, and is due to be released on November 5, 2013.

Editions and Pre-Order Bonuses

Editions
These topic will detail any special editions that get announced for Call of Duty: Ghosts, as well as confirmed pre-order bonuses.

Free Fall Multiplayer Map

Free Fall drops players into a shattered skyscraper on the brink of collapse. Staircases climb into the night's sky, elevator shafts run along the ground, and what were once windows now form a glass floor that's set hundreds of feet above the city streets.
The ruined skyscraper will actually continue to fall throughout the match, in what are being called 'dynamic multiplayer events' - a new feature for Ghosts. Each drop causes further destruction, disrupting sightlines and creating new paths and chokepoints over time.

Perks

Speed Perks
Speed perks allow the player to move faster and aim faster etc.

Quickdraw
Quickdraw gives you faster ADS. This basically means that the time it takes for you to aim down your sights will be reduced. Especially handy for close quarters combat.

Sleight of Hand
This perk allows you to quickly reload your weapon.

Agility
Faster movement speed. Basically, its kind of like Lightweight from previous games.

Marathon
Marathon allows you to sprint for longer distances. If you've played COD before, you'll know that you character can only sprint for a certain number of seconds before slowing down. With Marathon, you don't have to worry about this. Often used by rushers and those playing objective-based game modes such as Capture the Flag.

Stalker
Stalker allows you to move quickly while aiming down your sights.

Stealth Perks
Stealth Perks do exactly what you'd expect them to. Their primary role is to keep you from being noticed by other players.

Take Down
Take Down allows you to kill enemies without having to worry about them automatically telling players their location. Basically, it allows you to dispatch enemies in a silent fashion.

Blind Eye
Blind Eye makes you undetectable to all AI-controlled killstreaks. i.e. AI-controlled killstreaks will not target you (think of the Chopper in previous games).

Off The Grid
Off The Grid is the COD Ghosts version of Ghost / Assassin. Using this perk will make you invisible to enemy SAT-COMs. In case you didn't already know, SAT-COMs are ground-based UAVs that will show your position on the enemy player's minimap.

Dead Silence
Dead Silence quietens your footsteps so that enemy players can't hear you running up on them. Particularly popular among those who like to "sound *****" with headsets. Also seems to be used a lot in game modes such as Search and Destroy.

Ghost
When you have Ghost equipped as one of your perks, the red name tag that usually appears above your head will be invisible to enemy players. The red crosshair will also fail to appear while they are aiming at your body.

Resistance Perks
The Resistance tier is focused on increasing your ability to withstand damage.

Lightweight
Lightweight will prevent you from taking fall damage. This means that you can jump off higher buildings and not have to worry about falling to your death.

Painkiller
Not entirely sure what this one is yet. Some have said that it gives you faster health regeneration. In previous games, Painkiller was a death streak that allowed to take a lot of bullet damage.

Toughness
Toughness reduces the flinch that you experience whenever you take damage while aiming/shooting. This is a lot more useful than you think it is, as you'd be surprised how many gun fights are lost because of the effects of flinching.

Tac Resist
Tac Resist will make you resistant to enemy-thrown tactical grenades such as flash bangs and stun grenades.

Blast Shield
Blast Shield gives you increased resistance against explosive damage.

Handling Perks
The Handling Perks are focused on your hand work (duh).

Strong Arms
Strong Arms will allow you to throw equipment further than normal. i.e. You'll be able to toss lethal equipment such as C4 over further distances.

On The Go
On The Go allows you to reload while you are sprinting.

Fast Hands
Fast Hands will allow you to swap between weapons in a much quicker fashion. i.e. If you run out of ammo in your primary weapon, Fast Hands will allow you to swap to your secondary in the blink of an eye.

Steady Aim
The description of Steady Aim is still unconfirmed. In previous games, this allowed you to hold your breath for longer while aiming with a sniper. My guess is that it will stop your hands from shaking whenever you're holding your breath.

Dexterity
Dexterity will reduce the amount of time it takes you to draw your weapon after sprinting. If you've played COD before, you'll know that there is noticeable delay between the time it takes you to stop running and aim your weapon.

Awareness Perks
The Awareness Perks are focused on increasing your awareness of your surroundings and enemy players. Think of them as sixth senses.

Recon
Recon will paint enemy players on the minimap if you manage to give them explosive damage. For example, if I injure a player with a frag grenade or a "noob tube", that player will show up on the minimap for a predetermined period of time. This one is especially popular in Search and Destroy, where painting enemies on the radar can win you the round.

Scavenger
When you have Scavenger equipped, you will be able to see and pick up small ammo bags around fallen enemy soldiers. This is especially useful for those using weapons with a high rate of fire.

Sitrep
Sitrep will highlight enemy equipment and SATCOMs in red.

Awareness
Awareness will increase your ability to hear enemy footsteps. In some of the previous games, this was a pro variant of Sitrep and it basically made enemy players sound like elephants.

Wiretap
Wiretap is kind of like Hacker in the sense that it allows you to use enemy SATCOMs as your own.

Equipment Perks
The Equipment tier is basically focused on giving you more equipment to use (i.e. two stun grenades instead of one, etc).

Tac +1
Tac +1 will give you an extra piece of tactical equipment. i.e. You'll be able to carry two flash bangs instead of one.

Lethal +1
Lethal +1 is basically the same thing as Tac +1. Only difference is that it will allow you to carry two pieces of lethal equipment instead. Example: 2 pieces of C4 instead of one.

Bandolier
Bandolier will give you extra magazines. i.e. You'll spawn with more ammo than normal.

Attachment +1
In COD Ghosts, weapons can be given three attachments. With Attachment +1, you'll be able to equip a fourth attachment.

Danger Close
Danger Close will give you the ability to deal out greater explosive damage.

Elite Perks
Elite Perks are kind of a mixed bunch.

Gamble
Gamble will allow you to have two perks from the same tier / section. Some have said that it also allows you to reroll care packages.

Hardline
Using Hardline means that all point streaks will require one less kill than they normally do.

Ping
Ping allows you to detect enemies that are nearby to enemy players that you've just killed. i.e. If you kill an enemy, then the radar / minimap will give you a quick "ping" and let you see the locations of enemy players that are close-by. Will be incredibly useful in Search.

Overkill
Overkill gives you the ability to equip two primary weapons. Basically, you can equip an assault rifle as your primary and a sniper rifle as your secondary.

Deadeye
Dead Eye is a perk that increases the probability of "increased damage" the further you get into a pointsteak.

Maps

Octane
Octane is a map that is set in war-ravaged Las Vegas. Damaged vehicles and abandoned tanks lay strewn across the dusty landscape and there are a lot of different worn-down buildings to enter. Pawn Shops and broken down gas stations are also visible. Here, you can see a screenshot of some gameplay on the map:

Whiteout is a snow-covered map that features caves and wooden houses. This one has been described as being one of COD Ghosts' largest maps. Here, you can see a screenshot.

Weapons List

Assault Rifles
CoD: Ghosts Assault Rifles are the perfect weapons for people who like to play their Call of Duty a little more tactical. Sitting back and picking people off at mid-to-long range is where the Assault Rifles shine, although most are also perfectly capable when you bump into an opponent at close range.

Here is the Call of Duty: Ghosts Assault Rifles list:

AK-12
ARX-160
FAD
Honey Badger
MSBS
R5RGP
SA-805
SC-2010
*All weapons are those that have been spotted in the run-up to release. The list will be continually edited until we have the final multiplayer weapons list.

SMG's
CoD: Ghosts SMGs are compact, light weapons with a high rate-of-fire, meaning they are ideal for those who like to run-and-gun when playing Call of Duty. However, they are often a little harder to control than other weapons when in the hands of inexperienced players. Once accustomed to the characteristics of individual SMGs, and how best to play with them, they can be put to good, effective use, though.

Here is the Call of Duty: Ghosts SMGs List:

Bizon
CBJ-MS
UMP 45
K7
MTAR-X
Peacekeeper
PP-19
Vector CRB
Vebr
*All weapons are those that have been spotted in the run-up to release. The list will be continually edited until we have the final multiplayer weapons list.

Shotguns
If you like to get up-close-and-personal with your opponents in Call of Duty, Ghosts shotguns are the perfect weapons for dispatching of those bad guys in quick time. The most devastating of all of Ghosts weapons if used correctly, the shotguns will always be a one-shot-kill if you are within a few meters of your target  easy work for a shotgunner who can effectively flank his opponents, patrol the buildings and get off some quick, accurate shots.

Tip: You should definitely be running a Perk that allows you to sprint for longer if you have a shotgun equipped.

Here is the Call of Duty: Ghosts shotguns list:

MTs-255
Maul
*All weapons are those that have been spotted in the run-up to release. The list will be continually edited until we have the final multiplayer weapons list.

LMGs
Like to sit back and mow down packs of bad guys in Call of Duty? Ghosts LMGs are probably the best weapons for you, soldier.

LMGs are best put to use at medium range by players who prefer to take a bit of a back seat on the battlefield and overlook choke points and high-traffic areas. Because Ghosts LMGs are so heavy, mobility and speed are reduced, so running-and-gunning probably isnt the best of playstyles to go with. The main advantage of running an LMG, however, is their ability to hold more rounds than other weapons.

Here is the Call of Duty: Ghosts LMGs list:

Chain SAW
Ameli
LSAT
*All weapons are those that have been spotted in the run-up to release. The list will be continually edited until we have the final multiplayer weapons list.

Sniper Rifles
Ghosts sniper rifles are the best weapons for people who like to dispatch of their opponents from the relative safety of a long distance. Often the hardest weapons to use in Call of Duty, players have found a way of effectively using sniper rifles while running-and-gunning or at close range. Quickscoping, as it has been dubbed, when done by a skilled quickscoper is pretty hard to deal with.

Here is the Call of Duty: Ghosts Sniper Rifles list:

GM6
L115
USR
SVU Druganov
VKS
*All weapons are those that have been spotted in the run-up to release. The list will be continually edited until we have the final multiplayer weapons list.

Marksman Rifles
If you have always wanted a weapon in Call of Duty that offers a mix between sniper rifles and assault rifles, Ghosts Marksman Rifles are what you have been looking for.

Ghosts Marksman Rifles offer players the advantage of accurate, high velocity bullets, along with mobility and the ability to be effective at close(ish) and long(ish) distances. If you have trouble deciding whether to be a sniper or an assault guy, give the Marksman Rifles a try.

Here is the Call of Duty: Ghosts Marksman Rifles list:

IA-2
MR-28
MK14 EBR
SVU
*All weapons are those that have been spotted in the run-up to release. The list will be continually edited until we have the final multiplayer weapons list.

Pistols
When it comes to secondary weapons, Black Ops 2s handguns are a good choice for when you get caught short with only a few rounds in your magazine, or are using a Sniper Rifle but come across bad guys up-close-and-personal. The main reason being that they are very fast to switch to from your main weapon. Three or four accurate shots with a handgun at close quarters should be enough to put down your enemy.

Heres the Black Ops 2 handgun list:

Anaconda
M9A1
MP433
P226
*All weapons are those that have been spotted in the run-up to release. The list will be continually edited until we have the final multiplayer weapons list.

Launchers
Need to blow stuff up when playing Call of Duty multiplayer? Like big weapons? If you answered yes to both questions youll probably be a fan of Black Ops 2s launchers.

Kastet
Panzerfaust
MK32 Grenade Launcher
*All weapons are those that have been spotted in the run-up to release. The list will be continually edited until we have the final multiplayer weapons list.

It could be nice but as it's all just speculation so I'd take it with a pinch of salt.

I don't know. Smells kinda fishy. Putting it on only the Next-Gen Consoles would just cause them to lose a lot of customers. I know a lot of people wait until the prices die down to buy new systems. I heard the PS4 was suppose to be 600-800 dollars. WHAT? Is that even legal?

I think BO2 and MW3 were pretty good. BO2, to me, is the second best COD, after MW2. Hopefully this one is amazing.

Really? I didn't really like either of them too much. (Not to get on a tangent, but my favorites were WaW and MW2)
Title: Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts
Post by: MountainDewIt on April 16, 2013, 05:40:07 PM
Yea. I felt that MW3 was too easy to rank up on. BO2 wouldn't let me play on my account for a while. I had to play on my brothers until the last update. All together, I am about 3rd prestige if you count all of my XP. Hopefully the next COD doesn't do that.

Honestly, Call of Duty will be Call of Duty. The folks making the games always create this kind of hype... And they always turn out the same. The most innovative Call of Duty was Modern Warfare, since it brought wide spread multiplayer to the game. Anyways, if my brother will buy then I'll have it. Will I play? Doubtful.

My friends and I were having a discussion about this.

I think it's bs that it has "Ghost" in the name. As it was a perk in Treyarch games. Though the next CoD is apparently by Infinity Ward, I still think "Call of Duty: Ghost" is an unoriginal, and quite bland name to be honest.

I think it's a rumor. :P

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a character nicknamed Ghost in the Modern Warfare continuity? The story could revolve around him, maybe. Doubt it, but it's a thought.

About our friend 'Ghost'.
Yes, he was a NPC in MW2 that helped your character before his demise at the hands of Lieutenant General Shepard.
He kills ghost due to some plot reasons I will not explain, but Ghost dies.

There are theories that say Ghost still lived (after being shot and burned alive) and a theory about 'GHOST' being on the MW3 'Dog-tags' in a specific game mode, Ghost is believed to be dead by most sources.

Reception:

Don Mattrick: We are consistently thrilled with the overwhelming response received from critics and consumers alike to the Call of Duty series, which has firmly established its home on the Xbox 360 with the games largest and most engaged community, said Don Mattrick, president of the interactive entertainment business at Microsoft. With Call of Duty: Ghosts, we have no doubt that our longtime partners, Activision and Infinity Ward, will raise the bar higher than ever before for this incredible franchise.

Eric Hirshberg: Infinity Ward set the gold standard for first-person action for a generation, and theyre going to do it again with Call of Duty: Ghosts, said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing, Inc. Ghosts delivers an all-new story, all-new characters, an all-new Call of Duty world, all powered by a next generation Call of Duty engine, which is a leap forward for the franchise. Infinity Ward is going all-in to create the next generation of Call of Duty worthy of the worlds greatest fans.

Mark Rubin: Everyone was expecting us to make Modern Warfare 4, which would have been the safe thing to do. But were not resting on our laurels, said Mark Rubin, executive producer of developer Infinity Ward. We saw the console transition as the perfect opportunity to start a new chapter for Call of Duty. So were building a new sub-brand, a new engine, and a lot of new ideas and experiences for our players. We cant wait to share them with our community.

Tony Bartel: Theres no other video game property like Call of Duty. Its the biggest game franchise on the planet that has had some of the biggest game entertainment launches in history, said Tony Bartel, president of GameStop. We are very excited for the launch of Call of Duty: Ghosts, as we transition to next generation consoles.

Rumor Mill:

-Ghosts will feature new mechanics such as shooting while sliding, rolling from cover, and peaking around corners.
-Multiplayer will have dynamic loading screens that will keep players interested in the game before it starts.
-Destructible environments is the teams overall goal. SP seems to be going right for it, however, multiplayer not so much.
-Ghosts will NOT feature the character from MW2.

Thanks:
Thank you DwMHowiE, off of another forums, for this info.

Personally I have always preferred Infinity Ward for their multiplayer side of the games and from what we know so far this new game looks interesting. Also that wasn't really a trailer in my opinion but them just revealing the new name to add to the franchise and possible the name of a new trilogy.

I'm actually really glad that there wasn't really anything. Sure, everyone expected to see the graphics and some gameplay, but in all  reality, it's better. When COD BO2 was announced, 05.01.13, I was so exited and preordered it right away. Then, I was so hyped for BO2, that I started to get bored of MW3, Total Miner, and about two months later, Minecraft. Because of the hype, I hated Xbox temporarily. Heck, that trailer could have been fake and the actually game had 1990s graphics. It wasn't, and never will be, but still.

With this trailer, I have t preordered yet, because it seems horrible and stupid. I really don't want Ghost to come back. They would be copying BO2 by bringing back a character who supposedly died. I do hope though, that it will be more about a group of people calling them selves Ghosts to honor Ghost.

Also, I just wanted to point out that the title of this topic is wrong (I think). It's Ghosts, plural.

You are correct it is Call of Duty: Ghosts, but I don't think anyone can not like it because we have no information on the game just speculations.

Hopefully this turns out to be the best COD yet. If its not better than MW3 and BO2, I'm probably gonna stop buying them. Tomorrow better make me interested in it.

I've stopped buying them, I like a good CoD match and all; but I don't have the money nor desire anymore. They are decent games though, and I also hope this one turns out well.

I agree, if they say that something is new it just means that it's a texture change or something... I hope that's not the case this time...

Call of Duty: Ghosts

The game itself has nothing to do with the character from MW2. It was stated by one of the producers. I think they are called Ghosts because they actually hunt their enemies, not fight them. Or at least they said that in the trailers, whatever it means.

When they showed the trailer at the Xbox One reveal someone brought it up that, what if the whole game was an inner monologue of the dog's thoughts?

"Day 133: I bit this guy in the leg and he screa- Oh my god there's a squirrel !!!"

I would buy this game in a heartbeat if they did that....

Call of Duty: Ghosts is the most preordered title leading up to the October / November release season, according to research by an analyst firm.

The data comes via analysts Cowen & Co, which compiles data based on NPD sale statistics and Amazon.com bestseller information. Titles are given a score based on patterns observed from these sources over the past five years, with the firm claiming its projections are between 96 and 97 per cent accurate.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is the top ranked title at 73 points, followed by Watch Dogs and Grand Theft Auto 5 at 69.6 and 58.4 respectively. Cowen analyst Doug Creutz notes that Ghosts is currently under-performing when compared to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

Meanwhile, Creutz admits that the ranking for GTA V is "almost certainly" incorrect, as the company's data only accounts for sales made since E3 2013. The title has been available for preorder since November 2012.

Multi-platform games rank the highest, with the first next-gen exclusive title ranking fifth in the form of Killzone Shadow Fall for PlayStation 4. Forza 5 is the highest ranking Xbox One exclusive, ranking seventh.

The list:

1. Call of Duty: Ghosts (73)
2. Watch Dogs (69.6)
3. Grand Theft Auto V (58.4)
4. Battlefield 4 (54.7)
5. Killzone: Shadow Fall (30.3)
6. Assassin's Creed IV (29.2)
7. Forza 5 (18.8)
8. Diablo III (18.2)
9. Batman: Arkham Origins (17.2)
10. Dead Rising 3 (15.0)
11. Ryse (13.2)
12. Saints Row IV (10.1)
13. Knack (7.7)
14. Gran Turismo 6 (5.0)
15. Beyond: Two Souls (3.3)
16. Wolfenstein: The New Order (3.2)
17. Drive Club (3.0)
18. Splinter Cell: Blacklist (2.9)
19. The Bureau: Xcom Declassified (0.4)
20. South Park: The Stick of Truth (0.2)

The Single-Player Campaign Trailer looks okay. I'm not sure how I feel about it. The Campiagn is honestly the biggest reason why I preordered BO2 and this one doesn't look great. Infinity Ward, to me is for Mulitplayer, thats like thw only thing i really like about their games. Treyarch does great on campaign, on the "Mini" game, and has good Multiplayer. Speaking of Treyarch, Is it just me or does it seem like Treyarch made the campiagn? I don't why, but it feels like they did.

Anyways, hopefully someone can post a link. I doubt many people will even visit this page ._.

Yea I can't seem to enjoy them. Like Treyarch has fun campaign and great story. IW is just go in shoot, rinse, repeat. There's never really anything interesting in it. Hopefully they improve, and it seems like they have but I don't believe it will turn out as good as it can.

Graphics meh..... Definitely don't much up to the PC requirements...

Gameplay? looks like thier will be some cool locations, underwater fishies ::)

But... The music for that trailer wasn't chosen well imo....

Not excited for it, but will pick it up when it gets cheap and if the PC version isn't an un-optimized mess.

I cant remember the last time there as ever a good CoD.
I would think about buying a CoD if it was worked on for at least 2 years, rather than having an every year release.
or perhaps they come out with something original, rather than a bland, same old storyline with just upgraded graphics. this cod is just going with what battlefield accomplished 5 years ago. meh, its gunna suck and not beat GTA V's record anytime soon. people are just so stuck in the infinite loop of buying cod its unbelievable

Each game is worked on for 2 years. There are two companies that make CoD, and they alternate each year, allowing for 2 years on each game.

Also, and this makes me mad when people use this a fact between Battlefield, CoD, MoH, all of them are repeats each year, and they all just improve graphics. The thing is, CoD is actually being changed a lot each year, but most people just look at the bad things, and look at Ghosts and BF4, Ghosts is changing a lot more than Battlefield. Battlefield was probably just pushed out for the Next-Gen, if they would have waited it would probably be a lot better.

cod is not changed alot each year, as most of the "new weapons and features" are just reskins of old content. That being said, at least ghost has the balls to finally make changes to a series that has been the same since cod 4. And they are changing alot more than battlefield has from 3 to 4. I hope it works out for infinity ward.

as for the two years thing, I'm sure the team is too busy with dlc and patches for 4-6 months after the previous game launches to start working on the next game, and the "final" version that's released is probably done a good 2-3 months before launch. So each game is probably worked on for about a year and a half before being in its "final" version.  This final version will probably be edited in patches though.

and dont even get me started on dices "medal of honor" games. They are complete trash that ruined the name of a once great franchise. They don't even deserve to be compared to call of duty or battlefield. And personally I haven't liked battlefield since the released call of battlefield 3. I wish they would go back to the bad company series, since I loved one and two.

Yeah, same, Halo 3 Custom Games just made the game have so much re-play value and so fun, couldn't put it down.

Anywho, let's not get distracted by other games in a CoD topic. ::) I'll most probley get it due to friends, but I don't plan on buying it. It does look like it has the most change to a CoD game so can't argue about that, but out of all 3 IW games I've played, (MW Series) I hated them all, so I don't think I'll enjoy this one, maybe it'll be the first IW game I like.

Also, my I ask, why did people find MW2 so fun? I hated that game so much, worst CoD imo. WaW was the best for me.

I didn't really like it either. The only good thing was quickscoping. Snipers, shoguns, ACR, and grenade launchers were way too OP which made it hard. That game was made to be more releastic, and they changedpace (for better IMO) to make the game more fun than realistic and apparently they are doing that in  Ghosts as well. I really like the gamemodes like Infected and All or Nothing, so I'm glad their bringing that back.

I found quickscoping the worst. xD That was my biggest concern, never noticed how OP the other weapons were due to too many snipers. :P
I'm just gonna have to wait and find out when I do eventually play it. Definitely not paying full price though, got MW3 for half the starting price.

The video should be fixed now, and to the review, I will read it when I get home as I can't view it here, I'll post what I think of it in this post.

Edit: I really can't tell my thoughts on the review, I guess I'll know more when I eventually play it.

I'm only a couple missions into the campaign but so far I really like the story to it.

I personally love it. Multiplayer takes a bit getting use to though. Extinction is amazing. IGN gave it an 8.8/10 and apparently the maps are too large and complex.

Yes but now they have Search & Rescue which is basically the sad thing, but if you pick up your teams dog tags they respawn.

so far im liking the campaign and extinction mode but the multiplayer if different im not used to it yet i almost never go negitive in a cod game but my first 5 games i was doing super bad 4 kills 15 deaths :/ i did so bad but then i got used to it and i started doing good again =^_^= i gives it a 8.5 since no dedicated servers yet :/ at least i dont think they are out yet :/

so who made that brilliant design choice? Search and destroy was the only gamemode I ever played in these games unless my friends talked me into playing something else. And search and rescue sounds extremely dumb.

Infinity award said they were making CoD to be fun. S&D wasn't really fun to many people. They also took out other gamemodes like Demolition (I'm sad :,( )

and search and rescue is? I mean... Why not take out cap the flag? Or any of the other stupid game modes, since cod is always just deathmatch anyway. Search and destroy was just one life deathmatch, why change it?

I stopped playing Search & Destroy when you had to be in Game Chat, that's when I stopped playing it.
I always played SnD all the time on World at War, the last CoD that didn't require you being in game chat.

Search and Destroy was always fun, just needed not being in gamechat IMO...

doint get me wrong, for sure the netgen side looks better. but honistly i am nto impressed at all in the jump. i dont see it being worht it to drop $400-$500 for what i saw on the next gen side. idk if its that the game devloper didnt bother to take advantage of the next gen, or if the next gen is nto what it was made out to be.

if the games on the next gen are gona be that and nothign more, then nextgen is already dead before it even lunched imo.

i think i ight still rent the game tho just to play the single player campain.

who cares about graphics? As long as I know what I'm shooting I'm fine. Looking real wont make a bad game good, and looking like a 2009 game wont make a fun game bad. Example, look at fallout new vegas. Its graphics are dated yet the game is alot of fun.

Yeah but I'd rather be able to speak to my friends in party chat if they're not on the same game or be able to speak to them if dead.

I don't exactly know what you mean by take advantage of Next-Gen, if you're just talking about upgraded graphics, isn't that basically PC aswell? CoD: Ghosts will use the same mechanics for all consoles and PC, just graphics look nicer, games like Forza 5, Dead Rising 3 take advantage of these next-gen which current wont be able to handle, we'd probley see more next-gen games in future which wont be on current-gen so it'll take it's advantages, just current holding everything back.

If there's a really fun game, then they make an HD remake of that game, does that make the HD remake the better game because it has better graphics? Or are they the same since the only difference is the graphics?

I think Visuals and Aesthetics are getting mixed up in my head sorry.

I actually did used to hate or well dislike the original visuals of TM a lot, they just didn't look nice (no offense intended) things don't have to look realistic either, just visually pleasing. I love Tm's look with the HD pack though.

Depending, a remastering of a game usually includes Audio enhancements to =^_^= so yeah it does make it a better game.. Sometimes.

*Is shamelessly playing her copy of pokemon ruby*

If your telling me you don't care about visuals one bit.. thats fine, but don't tell me that their aren't people who care about Visuals...

Anyway sorry for going off topic. Will stop now.

a lot of stuff goign on in here, to much to quote it all.

anywho, let me elaberate on the grpahics issue, yes grpahics arnt eveyr thing, gameplay is as important if nto more so. but a lot fo the hype is that "its next gen, look shiny!!!!". but its nto shiny, its only slightly better then the cureent gen, and thats dumb.

i'm really still hoping its that teh makers of ghosts didnt take full advatage of the current hardwear on the next gen platforms, but if what i saw in that video is what were gona get in the next gen thats suspied to last 5ish years then consules are deadish to me. i say deadish becuse if  theres enough consul only games i want to play maybe i will get one, but ps3 still doesint have enough now and i still dont have one XD

as to somethign liek TM, TM never was ment to be for its grpahics, it does what it does extreamly well and i dont have peopel screaming at me "ZOMG AGY NEXT GEN SHINY SO SHINY!!! TM SO SHINY!!!!!". yes that was a terrable exgaeration.

i dont need next gen conusles to be cryises 16AA bad*** shiny. but i truly feel liek ether ghosts makers were damn lazy, or the next gen consules are a joke.

yes your right next gen "processing power"   doesnt mean the graphics will be better its all up to the devolepers if they want to make shiny but bad games thats why the graphics don't look that much better

bigger worlds, more objects on the screen, more enemies and npcs, higher frames per second... Its about more than better graphics

hunted is all right, the game modes all seem a little gimmicky to me. they got rid of all the competitive ones like capture the flag, hardpoint, and search.

I need people to play with me on the new extinction dlc. If you will, can you m me your gamertag, country (for the time zones), age and whether or not you have a mic. Note, I'm 12 but I'm not a squeaker. And to be honest, I'm not very good at it. But I need all the help I can get!

Call of Duty: Ghosts will have a demoonly on either Xbox 360 or Xbox One with no information whatsoever on the same deal taking place for PS3 and PS4 users.

COD Ghosts will be free on Friday March 7 at 1pm Eastern Time and will run through until Monday at the same time.

The maps that will be offered will be Strikezone, Warhawk and Prison Break, while players will also be able to get a taster of COD Ghosts Extinction as well.

Something tells me CoD is preparing for Titanfall...

Now they've given out Free Fall to everyone for free, you know, that map which came with Pre-Orders or when you buy that Season Pass, all strangely happening the week before Titanfall, I personally don't think it's a coincidence, but actually being that no one is playing it as past CoD's and that there's a game around the corner which will reduce the numbers of people playing more...

I haven't really touched Ghosts in around a month, but I won a giveaway for a Season's Pass (which I already had), and won, so I gave that to my friend. After the first DLC came out, he sold his game which kind of made me regret giving it to him... But he now owns the Xbox One, and got Ghosts, and gave me a code for a super rare camo (Spectrum Camo) so I'm thinking of buying it for the One.

I have Titanfall, but I don't see it being the CoD killer. Not for now at least. So I need another game to play. Plus I may be getting it off some guy for $30, and it's still factory sealed. I would buy it off the marketplace for the $40.00 they have it on sale for, but there's something so much better about actually owning a physical copy of something, rather than a download...

Was going through my old pictures and found this, from ghosts about a year ago when I was 3rd in the world extinction. I haven't checked my rank anytime soon, so I probably dropped really far. But I still thought It'd be interesting to post.

Did anyone play a lot of extinction? I'll admit it wasn't my favorite game but it was fun the first few times run through. The group I ran with pretty much founded all the pro tactics. Ahh.... The glory days...
I think the top 10 guys were averaging something like 14 escapes every 24 hours, nonstop... Yes it was hell on earth lol
