Development Updates / Re: 2.7 - PC - Dig Deep

All modders please note the change to ItemTypeData.xml and ItemTypeClassData.xml

<Class> in ItemTypeData.xml has been changed to <ClassID>
<ItemClass> in ItemTypeClassData.xml has been changed to <ClassID>

If your mods have these fields in their xml files, you'll need to change them and reupload for the mod to continue to work as expected.

Bug Reports [Retail] / Spawn mob with custom AI (Bug)
« Last post by JAZZ 0R KILLER on February 21, 2018, 06:55:41 PM »
So there's a new feature with the spawn mobs script. You can create the mobs custom AI, and there's a place to add that to your script so that when you spawn that mob, it has a custom AI. Not only that, but you can choose the AI for the mob using one of the premade AIs. However, there's a bug that when you spawn in the mob with the AI, it acts as if it ignores it. It will only use the default AI.

I know this is worded kind of oddly, but to be honest, it's kind of hard to explain it. I'm just terrible at explaining things.

General Discussion / Re: Question Time with Stewydeadmike

Whats your favorite song?

What was the forums like when you first arrived?

What animal would you least want as a pet?
I don't really have a favorite song as it tends to change a lot, but Winged Hussars by Sabaton is definitely one of my favorites

I'd say the forums felt a lot more lively back when I joined. I hope we start seeing new members that actually stick around.

Naked mole rats mainly because they look like this.
Spoiler for Hidden Content:
That or any sort of arachnid would be a no go for me.

Favorite movie?
I don't watch a lot of movies, but The Iron Giant is a movie that I have loved ever since I was a kid.

Questions and Answers / Re: Hacking In Multiplayer

I dont know much about the networking part of game development, but Craig could probably set the worlds to only run off of the host's files, and make the other players that join use none of their files, other than the player files. Kind of like minecraft, where you join a world, and it prompts you that it uses a mod, and if you want to install it.

That could also cause a few problems with shady files being hidden in the mod folder though...
Oh my, I do believe you misunderstand. What's contained in the mod folder isn't the main issue. The main issue, is that I could join a world, load up a cheat tool, and give myself an unending supply of gold if I so wanted to.
