"One must regard these 30 years of strife, turmoil and suffering in Europe as part of one story...
One Story of a 30 years' war."
-Winston Churchill
Over a 30 year period form 1914 to 1945, over 100 million people would die. In the bloodiest conflict the world had ever seen.
What would cause this great lose in human life? A single shot in Sarajevo. June 28, 1914, the first shot fired in the Great War.
2 sides would emerge; Britain France and Russia became the allies, while Germany, Austria Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire formed the central powers.
Where is America in all this? Fighting its own war with ponctio veia. The Mexican revolutionary attacking our southern boarder. Launching gorilla style fighting against our citizens.
Bringing about the first use of motorized warfare for America by Patton himself.
Meanwhile on the French German battle lines. 15 men a sec die, under the power of the brand new weapon, the machine gun.
Soon this would lead to the great trench warfare. Covering some 25k miles of trenches. The area between these trenches soon becoming known as, no mans land.
Among the solders on this western front, was Hitler him self, shunned by the Germans since he was a foreigner (an Austrian) who joined the German army. Braving the odds as a runner for the Germans. Ironically being speared death by a British solider private Henery Tenni. Who could not bring him self to kill an unarmed Adolph Hitler, and instead let him retreat along with the German army.
Meanwhile in London England, a man is convinced he can break the stall mate that is trench warfare. Head of the British navy, Winston Churchill. Coming up with a brilliant plan to break threw the galaopli blockade and reinforce Russia, for a massive pincer attack. Sadly this plan would not work to devastating levels. 56k dead on the allies side, with 2k MIA. Removing him from his position. Then doing the unthinkable.........he enlisted into the British forces.
Meanwhile in Germany, a secret weapon is loaded onto a train, heading to Russia. That weapon is Lenin. The communist leader hell bent on toppling the zar of Russia. The Germans knew this would cause hellish nightmares for the Russians.
Lenin would there meet another important figure, johsive stallion. Playing right into Germanys hand by plotting an armed revolt. There communist revolution.
With this revolution, it has taken out Russia from the war. Germany can now focus on the allies in the west.
1915, the Germans invade with there full force into itlatily (an ally). There, a young sharp shooter, Mussolini, would rise to the call. Transferring what was a pasoasifst, into a killing machine.
Meanwhile, Churchill battles the Germans in Belgium after having reenlisted. Rising threw the ranks quickly due to all the British deaths.
Meanwhile back in America again, an adviser makes his case to widrow Wilson that we need to start pepareiring for an inevitable grand scale war. That advisor was assistant secretary of navy, Franklin rosalavlet.
100 Americans died when a British ship sank by Germans. Edging them one more.
Then all hell breaks lose, when during that same meeting, president Wilson, is informed we just intercepted a secret message form the Germans meant for the Mexicans asking for there support of an Mexican invasion funded by Germany that would allow the Mexicans to reclaim the land America won during a previous war.
Relasheing this info into America, America rose up and demanded war.
April of 1917, America signs its decoration of war. The Americans have now entered the Great War.
Patton him self is now in franch, being told to command his men to use a new weapon of war, The Tank. Bringing about a new type of warfare. While the tank has been use before, Patton uses his brilliance to help lead the alias to victory using his tanks with new tactics.
Potion would help lead the battle of saint Michaels, a great turning point in the war, using his new light weight tanks and his brilliant mind. There, Patton would also meet General Macarthur. Another brilliant mind of war.
Together Patton and Macarthur would push back the Germans for the first time.
Hitler is not to be forgotten, while the allies are pushing the Germans back, Hitler is still fighting strong, until the day the allies unleash a new hellish weapon upon the central powers......."Mustard Gas". A truly nightmarish weapon of war.
Fall of 1918, the allies launch what would be called "the 100 day offensive". Lead by Macarthur and Patton, the allies have now become the world’s most powerful military force.
4 years, and 37 million cassults, the 2 sides end the first great war, World War 1.
But it’s not over yet, as Hitler recovers form the gas attack.......he begins his walk to his fate as the leader of nazi Germany......
Likewise, a nation feels scored by the war and its allies, Japan, Japan having entered the war in 1914 and committed 1000's of troops and millions of dollars, and yet is left out of the allies discussions during the negotionastions. Leading my people to sadly follow the path that would lead them to be our enemies during ww2.
Germany its self, is left in a state of near civil war.
Churchill has returned from the front lines, narrowly winning reelection to his position in parliament. Convinced the German threat has not gone away.
Macarthur is made super attendant of west point.
Patton is now the leader of a tank training camp, getting ready for the next war.
Masculine, is now taking what he learned in the war, no longer a pacifist, he seeks greater power. In a nation who felt though they won the war, they have lost for not gaining any thing. He would lead the black shirts that would lead to an armed revolution.
Hitler though recovered, is rejected by the military he so gave his life to, however....he is lead by the same man who fired him (to infiltrate, but would come to love there ideals, that where no different then his own) to the "Germans workers party" that would become the nazi socialist party one day.
These are all but small stories in the Great War. A war that would lead to an even greater one. Due to our own mistakes. With both heroes and villains who where forged during the great conflict.
This one 100 years latter. We remember all those who have died on both sides of this Great War, and the many more who would die with the events that followed.
