Preventing players from dropping stuff?
« on: July 28, 2017, 02:41:03 AM »
In a creative rpg... I want to be able to prevent players from dropping stuff to discourage giving out items.... is there a way to make that possible?

Ty in advance

That is not currently possible. Sorry.

You should look into modding as PC edition will be launched soon. Maybe you could have a non-droppable items mod on PC.
Thanks Gold Knight for the amazing sig!

That is incredibly unfortunate,  but thanks for answering my question!

I believe there is a command along the lines of pickup [clear] which clears all pickups on the map. You could have this on loop to delete any items that get thrown on the ground. This would certainly discourage the practice.

Or you could just use that command on a player dies event.

That is a good idea Drymm but how would the players be able to pick up items from mobs that they kill. If it is an RPG I'm assuming their would be mobs that drop items.

I would personally move mob drops to a kill script anyway. When lag picks up, Pickups get hard to pick up.

Tell me how that prevents people from dropping things out of their inventory to give to other players.
