I think you should try to make the snake game if possible, I wanted to see if you could do this because I know you're really good at scripting.

Questions and Answers / Re: Why didn't they finish what they promised?
« Last post by Platinum Dryym on August 18, 2017, 10:32:35 PM »
Well, Some things, Like the quest editor became obsolete with the additions made to scripts. Some things, Like infinite worlds had technical problems that could not be worked out in time, Other things just weren't a high enough priority.

In addition, The XBLIG system was getting shut down so the last months of the game's development on 360 were spent patching bugs and adding a few last features as a sendoff.

I am sure that most of these technical hurdles will be able to be crossed on PC and these features will be able to come to fruition in the future.

I just recently went back on Total Miner after a very very long time and came to the realization that the game was on its final update. As I was reading through the change log, I noticed that what was added was not close to what they had promised in future updates. This is by no means bashing the developers , I was just wondering how it played into the grand scheme of things. Whats the reasoning behind this?

Yes, the game is dead. We had to offer it as a sacrifice to the Eldritch Gods to prolong the end of the world as we know it. Lord Cthulhu is fond of voxels...

Thank you! Someone finally speaking the truth. I knew there was something wrong, but you all said I was crazy!

I still play, but don't host public because I don't have to be on modding/briefing patrol, and so I'm not spammed with "CaN I BuIld?"

I do host privately though, so if you want to see what I'm up to, feel free to message me and I'll invite you

I hopped on earlier just to see what was up and who was hosting (I posted this about an hour after I was on the game) and there is still plenty of worlds being hosted.

Altogether there were 30 worlds being hosted which is a fair amount. Adding to this in each world, there was a minimum of at least 2-3 players in about 17/30 words that were being hosted at this time.

Yes the game is a little quiet right now, mainly because of people who have moved on from their 360 and switched over to the Xbox one or other consoles, and a lot of people are just simply waiting for the game to be released on PC.
