Your world / [Construction] Pixel art of myself
« on: February 04, 2017, 12:47:32 PM »
I was bored one day and decided to try and create a massive pixel art photo of myself. For my first ever time attempting something like this I don't think it turned out too bad.

Ugh thatz nazty is currently taking photos of it and he will upload them to this topic.

Hope you guys enjoy it lol!

Total Miner Discussion / [Other] Old but fun bugs and glitches
« on: January 28, 2017, 08:44:12 PM »
I felt like making this topic to just talk about the old but really fun bugs and glitches that used to be in the game (these have all been patched at this point) Me and a couple of members on the discord were talking about this and I just wanted to bring it up.
For example back in the day you could dig a hole 1000 blocks deep, jump into it and take 0 damage. However you could dig a hole 50 blocks deep and you would die. Me and my friends used to do this all the time in our Dig Deep maps years ago, if we wanted to travel to the Hells without using teleporters. Once we discovered this bug for the first time we had so much fun with it.

Another one was if you were in creative and you had a sledgehammer. You could press RB and RT at the same time and for some reason you could mine insanely fast. I remember this was good if people weren't too keen on using markers to get rid of something so they would use this to delete things really fast. Also I remember this glitch was used to troll a lot which was a downside.

This topic is just to talk about those old, nostalgic Total Miner bugs and glitches that were really fun.

If you have any that you can remember just post them down there and we can have a nostalgic trip together!

(I'm not too sure if this belongs in the Total Miner General Discussion or the Bug Reports so I'll just leave it here. If it should be changed or moved, I or bob etc, can do that.)

YouTube - Jimalene

Hey! I've had a YouTube channel for years but I've only been using it to subscribe to people and like videos etc. However I never actually used it to upload videos. The reason being I could never afford equipment and stuff, but now had a job for over two months and it pays really well, so I'm really close on saving up for the equipment that I need.

Once I have everything I need I will upload a variety of different games to my channel which may include things like:

Skyrim funny moments compilations
GTA stunt montages
Total Miner lets build videos and tutorials (or anything to do with the game in general)

And many more!

It will only be a hobby on the side as I am currently in my last year in school and I am swarmed in coursework and other nonsense that comes with school (stay in school kids)
I'll try and upload as much as I can once I get everything sorted but for now my channel will consist of 30 second clips that I have recorded from games on my Xbox One that I can edit in the Upload Studio that comes with the Xbox One.

I can't wait to get fully started with this once I can afford everything I need!  ::)

Thanks for taking the time to read this it means a lot!

Here's the link to my first video:
Or just search Jimalene on the search bar and you should be greeted with a picture of a DemiGod.

I hope to see you guys over there! Why not drop a like or even a comment to let me know you've paid a visit, or even subscribe!

Questions and Answers / Getting into YouTube
« on: January 16, 2017, 03:27:21 AM »
So I've been watching people on YouTube for years now, probably since before 2008. I've always loved watching gaming and or non gaming videos. It's something I've always wanted to do but I could never afford to start YouTube as I didn't have any money back then, however now I have a job and am able to afford stuff so I was thinking about starting YouTube.

It would only be a hobby for now obviously, and something that would just be really fun to do. I would want to upload videos such as Skyrim funny moments, GTA funny moments, let's plays/lets builds on Total Miner and more.

However I need capture devices, editing softwares and a decent microphone so here are my questions:

What's a good capture device that isn't too expensive?
What's a good editing software? (even if it's free)
What's a good microphone to record with?

I'm willing to go up to 100 (120$)

Thanks everyone!

How do you spell "access" Jesse?

You've completely butchered the spelling and I don't know why I found this so funny.

Your world / West Wood City
« on: December 18, 2016, 06:30:53 AM »
Over the past few weeks I have been working on a city called West Wood. So far it mainly consists of high rise skyscrapers, a detailed intersection, lampposts and a few cars along the road.

I am starting off with the city centre and then I will be expanding my way outwards where I will then start to build houses and other buildings around the outskirts of the inner city.

I plan on making this city very detailed as Total Miner still mainly consists of mediocre deathmines. Most cities that you see mainly consists of straight roads and minor landscaping, but I plan on making curved roads and big mansions. Something that you don't see quite often (on this game)

I have even went as far as to plan my city layout on a piece of paper that I keep adding additions onto when I get the chance to.

At the time of this being posted, this is what I have built so far:

14 buildings altogether.
12 of them are modern designed skyscrapers.
1 of these buildings is a 5 story car park.
And the final building is them famous triangular building known as the 'Flatiron Building'
I still have to do all of the interiors for all of the buildings, but that's not my main priority at this moment.

I am going to build a few more skyscrapers and then I will move on to building, city houses and then eventually smaller shops and more!

In the future when Total Miner PC comes out. I am hoping to transfer this word over to PC where I can continue working on it.

Once I am happy with its progress and it is very detailed, I will probably make a copy of the world and make it into a 'hunger games' map where I am planning on doing giveaways. For example 10 or 25 steam cards, Xbox One gold memberships and PSN vouchers!

Just something I would like to give back to the community.

All I need now is for someone to come on and take some picture of my map (I'm looking at you Nazty ;)) and post them to this thread so I can physically show you guys my work on this city so far.

Thank you so much for reading!

Questions and Answers / Slabs and stairs.
« on: December 14, 2016, 02:41:37 PM »
I have a quick question about slabs and stairs on Total Miner PC (question is mainly aimed at Craig as its up to him to add this feature)

Quick question: Will slabs and stairs be changed PC when you place them?

What I mean is currently on Total Miner when you place slabs and stairs, it can be quite awkward to place them in the specific direction you want, example, when you want to place an upside-down stair, you have to put a block above that stair and place the stair on the underside of the block. This is really frustrating when building a house or building as you then have to go back and delete the blocks that you used in order to get the upside down stair.

I am just wondering will this be changed to act like Minecraft's slabs and stairs. On that game, you just have to look at the top half of a block and place the stair and it will automatically be placed upside down, same with slabs, which (in my opinion) is far better than what happens in Total Miner right now.

It is so handy and is really useful for us builders.

So overall, will this be a feature that could be added onto PC? I know this isn't a top priority but it is a really handy feature which should be implemented.

Thanks  ::)
