Bug Reports [PC Beta] / New Menu -> Old Menu Bug
« on: January 12, 2019, 09:24:19 AM »
Hi,

Another bug found! When scripting, if you click on “Cancel Running Script” then it will revert from the new menu style (the blue looking one) back to the old menu style (the dark 360 one)

Cheers,
Crab.

Bug Reports [PC Beta] / Respawn Scripts Doesn’t Work On Escape
« on: January 12, 2019, 08:59:18 AM »
Hi,

Quick bug report, I’m playing PC version. If you set a script to apply when the player respawns it doesn’t apply the script when the player escapes. I have tested and it does work on “legitimate deaths” such as jumping into lava.

Cheers,

Your world / [RPG] Aerilon
« on: January 02, 2019, 04:44:17 PM »
Travellers, the time to halt your explorations has come. You have stumbled across the lost town of Aerilon, an ancient medieval adventure for you to learn about. You’re to inhabit this town for a while until further instructions. Whilst you live here you’ll be faced with sleep-depriving, hunger-driven challenges that will decide on your ultimate fate. Will you live in this poor environment and grow to be wealthy and popular, or will you let the darkness consume you as you work your way toward the grave.

You’re one of us now, an Aerilonian. To survive you must work doing tedious jobs at first but if you succeed greatly perhaps you could be head of your own business. Will you craft tools or armour? Will you mine in caves for your chance to strike lucky? Aerilonian’s work hard to deliver the future they dream of, one day you could be living a luxurious life.

You will be honoured a low-ranking pickaxe with some petty cash we rounded up for you from generous donations. The town is looking forward to seeing how you progress.

Spoiler for Pictures:
Coming Soon! I only have a few buildings built so I’m gonna wait  until I have built more to upload images! Thanks for waiting patiently.

Bug Reports [Retail] / Bedrock in sky world
« on: January 04, 2018, 02:51:12 AM »
Hi,

If you are in a creative sky world and you hit the bedrock with a sledge hammer than you can see little particles of bedrock coming out of it which shouldn't be the case because the bedrock is just fully transparent

Thanks

Ideas / World Zones
« on: July 26, 2017, 11:07:20 AM »
Hi,

Okay so I've been thinking about how a lot of world use 'World Zones' and how useful they are. If you're unsure of what they are it's basically a zone that covers the whole world. This can be really useful for only allowing players to mine in certain places etc. It can be done by setting the coordinates of the zone from the bottom of one corner of your map to the top of the opposite corner of your map.

It's great that we can already do this but with Craig releasing infinite worlds a few updates after PC release we soon might not be able to do this on our largest and most precious worlds. I've had the idea that in the settings of the zone that there could be a checkbox labelled world zone. This would put the whole infinite world in a zone and we would still be able to host and enjoy large, fun maps.

It'd be great to have that but there's a small issue that comes with it. The issue is that when we choose to 'View Zones' we would see a massive zone constantly. I think that it would be a good idea to have a setting on player options that allows us to toggle whether we can see world zones. Alternatively there could be another  checkbox in the Zone settings that allows us to toggle whether the selected zone is visible when viewing zones.

Please leave your thoughts below,
Thankyou.

Questions and Answers / What are the code errors?
« on: July 02, 2017, 09:58:59 AM »
Hi,

I was just wondering what the code errors were? There was a topic I just read about a code 4 error and I realised that I knew next to nothing about any of the errors. Can someone please help me out?

Hi,

I just wanted to say happy birthday to one of the best mods around! Happy birthday Jim, I hope you have a good'n /bdaycake

Jim's been around for a while now and he's a great person; he's funny and generally just makes everyone happy. He's been a massive help keeping the forums as well as the Discord chat in peace and I'm sure he'll continue that for a long time.

You're the big 1-8 now Jim, congrats!

Gaming / Bloons Tower Defense
« on: January 27, 2017, 04:32:16 PM »
Bloons Tower Defense
Quick Info

BTD (Bloons Tower Defense) is a Tower defense game. The aim is to choose the right tower to hopefully win the map! Upon winning the map you get amounts monkey money depending on the difficulty that you played on. Monkey money is the general in-game cash for BTD and can buy you upgrades and special agents as well as other awesome stuff as well! During the rounds you're currency is banana's (Yeh, the game's centers around monkeys xD.)
Towers

BTD has about 20 towers to choose from each which you must upgrade. Once you unlock an upgrade it's unlocked permanently meaning that you don't have to unlock the same upgrades every round. Towers can only have six upgrades out of eight. You can either upgrade the first side to two and the last to four or vice versa . You don't have to do that, you could go 1:1 or 2:2 or any combination that's not 3:3, 3:4 or 4:4.
Multiplayer

[size=12]Multiplayer is possible on BTD, basically on player controls the left and the other controls the right. Multiplayer isn't local as far as I'm aware. You can choose to play multiplayer with a friend via Facebook, or you could play with a randomly picked person. It's better to play with a friend in my opinion because you can speak to them over phone or something similar and discuss which towers to put where.[/size]
Overall

I think that BTD is definitely worth a play, I myself love it! It can be played online, on your PC or on your phone (excluding some phone :/ but IOS is a definite). Unfortunately you have to pay for it but if you type in on google BTD 5 for free iOS there's a video that shows you how to get the game for free. I'm not taking credit if your area doesn't support the video. My friend did this for me and it works fine, he originally told me he was gonna download BTD battles (the crap version) and did that :P Lol. Anyway, it's worth a try the current version is BTD 5. Enjoy it, and comment tips / tricks / favourite towers down below!

Questions and Answers / TM PC Controls
« on: January 15, 2017, 04:18:18 PM »
Hi,

I was wondering what the TMPC controls will be? Arrow keys, WASD?

It'd be nice to know so that we could get used to the keys. Also, is there a way to change the controls? So, we'd be able to make up U or something, lol.

Cheers,

Questions and Answers / PC Map Modding?
« on: January 14, 2017, 03:19:08 AM »
Hi,

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this so if it's suppose to be in the PC modding thread, please move this over.

I've noticed that with modding XML files, you would have to download the file and drag it into the TM file. Would this work with maps? For example, I made an awesome map and posted a download link. Could you then download the map and drag it into say a 'worlds' folder or something. This would then allow you to play the map.

Is that gonna be possible? I know there's the share map option but it'd be a little annoying having to stop hosting just to share the map for one person.. :P

Cheers,
Crab.

General Discussion / What games would you like to see?
« on: January 02, 2017, 03:48:48 PM »
Hi,
I've recently got into making games and would consider myself a decent dev. Obviously I couldn't make massive games such as TM but I can make small, fun games.

my question to you all is what games would you like to see?

I'm a small indie dev, so don't make things over complicated.

I'll put all reasonable game suggestions into a poll soon and I'll try and make the chosen game.

General Discussion / Impossiball
« on: December 29, 2016, 06:25:46 PM »
Hi,

I'm making a game at the moment called a Impossiball. Reason for the name is because it's a puzzle game involving a ball which is next to impossible to solve. It's  currently in 0.2.5 Beta, with only five levels. As it's such a small game I don't imagine it to have more than 20 levels.

If you'd like to join the Impossiball chat then please message me on Discord. TheDestinedCrab#6573

Here's the download:

Site Suggestions and Bugs / Prefixes - '[Liked]'
« on: December 17, 2016, 07:06:11 AM »
Prefixes - '[Liked]'

A Brief Explanation

I'd like to ask for a new prefix to be added to the 'prefix table' in all boards using prefixes. The prefix would be called '[Liked]' or something similar and when filtered it would show only the threads that the user has liked. This filter wouldn't count a like as the user liking the OP, they must like the actual thread.

This would be useful because, generally, if you like a thread, it means that you like that thread, map and/or layout. It'd then be easy to link to your favourite threads whenever needed instead of scrolling through useless posts in the watch bar to actually find the thread that you'd like to link.

Myself and other active members would find this useful because topics always get lost in the flow of other less useful topics. With this small addition, we'd be able to see threads without having to scroll back (x) amount of pages or (x) amount of search results -which is usually a few due to members talking about their maps or referring to them in other threads.

Thank's for taking the time to read my suggestion!

Thanks for taking the time to read my suggestion, please add onto or give feedback to it below. When giving feedback, if all you're going to say is '+1' or something similar please just like my post.

Cheers,
Crab.
