Are we allowed to talk about the Universe? Like for example if it is infinite, and if its not. how does it end etc? ^_^

Any of you hear about the star Betelgeuse? Its in the orion constellation and is very close to causing a supernova! Apparently it'll be larger than a full moon and will be visible during the day.

I got to name my own star! You can do so through these people:
http://www.giftrepublic.com/Product.aspx?ProdID=STARPERSONALISEIT

The name gets put into the British Library where anyone who wishes to find your star can have access to it. Included in the tin box is a map about 36"x36" of the constellations. It allows you to pinpoint where your star is.

I named mine Dauntless I think. That or a personal family name, can't remember because the certificate is not on me currently and I did it a couple years ago.

Here's a rough area where the star is:
Spoiler for Hidden Content:
- It gave me the coordinates for where the star is in the night sky. Supposedly it's in the upper Equatorial Region, and from what I remember it's a little south of Hydra and above Lupus.
- It is not visible in the night sky, I would need a very powerful telescope to even see it.
- Also it's a medium-sized star that is slightly older than ours, from what the information packet told me. Hopefully they'll find all kinds of evil aliens on some planet orbiting it  8)
You make me smile!

Sorry this is not really the right trend as it's more about space the. Space companies..

I'll just put this in the other one.

Enjoys the read anyway

Seems cool! I wanna see it :3 but is it gonna cause any damage to earth? Like a earthquake or something? Or a meteor? (Which I highly doubt)!

Its hundreds of lightyears away so i doubt something catastrophic would happen. Yet, with it being hundreds of lightyears away, it may've already blown up, we just haven't seen it yet o:

Well it'll certainly be more than twice as bright at night :P Its incredible how huge space is, like really, it takes light (300000km/sec) 3+ years to get to the nearest star! Its very difficult for me to explain to people how vast space is. I even have trouble getting that past me. We humans are just so insignificant to the galaxy!
