Gaming / Nioh - PS4

Another PS4 exclusive title just became available for pre-order.  If you have a PS4 and haven't heard of Nioh, I highly recommend checking it out.  It's a 3rd person action game set in feudal Japan made by Koei Tecmo's "Team Ninja" of "Dead or Alive" and "Ninja Gaiden" fame.  It's scheduled release date is February 9th, 2017.

It's been paralleled to games such as "Onimusha" and even "Dark Souls".  After playing through the beta till it's expiration I can say I thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay due to the depth and difficulty of the combat.  The audio and visuals were also very good.  Co-op matchmaking worked great.

I don't want to spoil any gameplay for anyone checking it out for the first time, so I'll just link an official trailer here:

Site Suggestions and Bugs / Behavior section?

Anyone else think it'd be a good idea to have a seperate sub-forum for discussions about the new Behaviors?

Or maybe better as a new child board in the Scripts, Circuts, Components, and Particles section?

I just forsee a lot of questions incoming on how to make npcs do this or that certain thing, and I'm sure people already have exciting ideas to share.  Having a spot specifically for it would be nice even if we can't actually use Behaviours yet, since it seems like most of the discussion is taking place in my new favorite thread:  I wonder..

Creative Features / H x V Stretch (79x79x79)

Hello.  I made another script world to share.

H x V Stretch takes a 79x79x79 area and doubles either the height or width.

Horizontal stretch script copies 79 vertical regions horizontally 158 times (1:2).

Vertical stretch script copies 79 horizontal regions vertically 158 times (1:2).

Ideas / Magic Eraser/Replacer

This tool would use markers to define the size of an area.

The area is copied to the clipboard(or something that functions like it) to make the size of the eraser/replacer.

The replace menu opens with the addition of the blue or yellow button to add additional replace operations after the second block is chosen.

The eraser/replacer can be "pasted" like something on the clipboard and would look like a zone(?).  The specified replacements occur within the area and can continue to be "pasted" until the user switches items (or pushes B maybe).

Creative Features / Invert/Reverse/Shift (64x64x64)

Hello.  I wrote a couple scripts to share.  I thought about writting them to automate a long manual process.  These scripts are all made from Move Region commands.

Invert flips a 64x64x64 region upside-down (excluding blocks with facing modifiers).  64 Move Region commands reorder horizontal layers from top to bottom.


Reverse mirrors a 64x64x64 region (excluding blocks with facing modifiers).  64 Move Region commands reorder vertical layers left to right.

The axis shift script rotates a 64x64x64 region's axis 90 degrees (with the exception of blocks with facing modifiers).  It is a bit more complex at 4096 Move Region commands.

These scripts are being shared on the map "INVRxRVRSxSHFT".

Hopefully these scripts will save people some time.  Please check them out and feel free to reshare.

500x500x500 area inverter/reverser scripts are finished and being shared on the map "XL INVRxRVRS".

Note: (Please consider the sharing and execution time of the scripts is around 20 minutes.)

Creative Features / What are your plans for scripts and circuitry?

Well, I didn't see a good place for this discussion, so I thought I'd start it.

In case you aren't aware, scripts and wireless circuitry will be coming in 2.0 and are kind of a big deal.

Craig made videos of some basic examples of how they work and what's possible.

I see scripts and circuitry bringing many new possibilities to all different kinds of maps.  Looking forward to seeing them.
