Why not name the awards something other than after yourself, like just total miner awards.
And also have other players be polled for stuff like best map and stuff or have their votes count as half of the decision then bobs or Craig's input counts as a percentage and such.

that's why I said they'd be worth a percentage in the decision of the in winner. You could have testers or Craig and bob make up some kind of comity of game development involved individuals that's worth the other 50%
Of the vote.
I'm not sure how it was decided who would win each category but if it's just you or your friends it doesn't really carry any weight. You could have the voting for each category last a week each, each getting a week to themselves. If you wanted to try to insure fair voting on the community side of things you could try to find a poll website that prevents cheating. Maybe build a comity of 20 or so people that are testers, youtubers, and others (none one which would be in the comity if they are up for some award)

If you want this to be something that carries weight and actually means something it needs to be legitimized by a name change and some kind of voting system whether it's just game development involved comity like testers and bob and Craig or a mix of that and a popular vote.

Having testers/Craig's opinion have more weight than other peoples on something like this is pretty pointless. My opinion isn't any more valuable than anyone else's when it comes to the categories Mysterio had in his video.

Let him do what he wants. The Monkey Awards are a way to show off a recap of some of his favorite moments and experiences this year, and in no way represent or are subject to the greater community's.

That's exactly why they complained last year. All categories lasted a week and the post had to be made earlier. People complained about it being 'too early' and that's was why I never did it again.

This year a few friends were asked. Testers and bob voted upon community member.
