My crazy new years resolution is to try to write a novel this year. Does anyone else have any big, crazy resolutions they would want to share?

Fun House / Skyrim Roleplay Sharing.
« on: November 01, 2016, 02:32:05 AM »
So now that the Remastered Skyrim has come out, I have decided to use the "Live Another Life" mod to create a new character who doesn't care about being the dragonborn, just about his own bottom line. I invite anyone who loves skyrim or any elder scrolls game to start new characters with me and post journal entries here sharing their progress.

Rules:

1. There are no rules

2. Have fun

3. Be as crazy as you want to be...

Creative Features / [Help Needed] Level Up Menu Script
« on: October 15, 2016, 04:00:33 AM »
I need help building a level up system in my world using a custom menu. I have been playing around with HUD Shapes but have had little luck. Would anyone be willing to join my world and help me set up a template I can fill in and change as needed?

Ideas / Easy HUD Builder
« on: October 14, 2016, 03:56:01 AM »
It would be nice to be able to easily custom build the HUD for your world when the game comes out on PC. Being able to drag and drop different HUD elements and add new counters will make it much easier for world builders to customize their visitors experience. I know that this can already be done, but it is really a pain to trial and error it with scripts. Having a display we can easily manipulate with the mouse would be much more user friendly.

Creative Features / [Help Needed] Moving Planter Script
« on: September 22, 2016, 04:08:04 PM »
So I need help scripting planters that will raise up and down, and make it look like it is being suspended by a rope in both states. It also needs to work relative to the script block, as the tile itself will be pasted around the map

Ideas / Skill Icons as Scriptable Items

Exactly what the title says. Give us scriptable objects that look like the icons on the skill list.

Fun House / Limerick Disses
« on: August 28, 2016, 05:16:58 PM »
This is a topic inspired by PWRBTTN's Lame Limerick Topic. http://totalminerforums.net/index.php?topic=16946.0  Since that ended with a dis, I decided to make a topic that was only Limerick disses.

So here are the rules:

1. No profanity
2. Only dis the person who posted right before you.
3. You may only post twice in a row, and the second post must target your first post.

Example:

There once was a man named Steve,
So egotistical it made me dry heave.
Sometimes it seems pretty psychotic,
Somehow this idiot obtained robotic?
Nevermind, turns out he just bought it.

Gaming / Forums Smackdown in WWE 2015
« on: August 24, 2016, 01:20:50 PM »
Hey, I believe that wwe smack down 2015 is still free. So anyone who wants to download can participate in a tournament I am going to be hosting if I get enough people. There will most likely be a prize, but I haven't decided on it yet. Here are the rules:

1. You must create your own character. No pre existing wrestlers allowed.

2. You must have an Xbox one and have WWE 2015 downloaded.

3. You have to sign up by September 1st to be in the tournament.

Ideas / Bears
« on: August 01, 2016, 05:16:19 PM »
I think we need more mobs that are dangerous during the day. Bears shouldn't actively seek you out like most mobs, but if you come within 6 blocks of them they will see you as a threat and act accordingly. They should have about as much health as a werewolf, and fish can be used to pacify them. Bears should be extremely rare, only spawn in alpine biomes, and never spawn near another bear.

Fun House / Transpose
« on: August 01, 2016, 05:05:27 PM »
The point of this game is to change one letter in the word above your post to create a new word.

There are 5 rules:
1. No bad language
2. You may only change one letter
3. You may not post twice in a row
4. You may add or remove one letter, but if you do you cannot change a letter.
5. You may not use a word used in the current game before.

Here is the first word:
Head

Example answer:
Mead

Creative Features / Smoke Bomb Script
« on: July 27, 2016, 02:10:41 AM »
I am trying to make a script that (when an item is used) it will create a cloud of particles and teleport a player 3 blocks back if there is no block behind them, but is there a way to read if there are any blocks within 3 blocks behind the player? If so, how would I write this script?

Total Miner Discussion / [Creative] Powered
« on: July 26, 2016, 10:24:39 PM »
So I am starting to make tiles for the first ever superhero rpg made in total miner.

Currently it is being made under the codename "Powered"

The idea is a three leveled city in the vein of bioshock, but it was abandoned long before. You are a super soldier with some kind of super power that has been sent there to clear the city of the monsters inhabiting it, find loot and level up, and uncover the mystery of what happened to the city so long ago.

It is still very much a work in progress, but if you want to leave suggestions on what kind of superpowers people want added I can add some of the most popular ones. The only one that is off limits is flying, and every power will have negative effect to go with it.

Progress:

45/90 tiles completed:

15/15 Tree/Courtyard/Gutter
10/15 Stair/Stair/Stair
9/15 Temple/Living Quarter/Gutter
9/15 Bathhouse/Living Quarters/Gutter
4/15 Greenhouse/Living Quarters/Stair
0/15 Mess Hall/Living Quarters/Flooded

Creative Features / Need Help Scripting Map Building Tiles
« on: July 25, 2016, 02:52:58 PM »
I need to know if it is possible, and if so, how.

I want to build around 30 45 X 45 Map tiles and create a script that lays them out in a grid. I have kinda a basic idea of how I would start, but I need to know a couple things.

1. Do components get placed facing the same direction each time?

2. When I save components, do they always face the same direction?

3. Is it possible to read what component was placed in a square and place one that is compatible with it?

Ideas / Acrobat's Amulet
« on: June 30, 2016, 02:07:43 PM »
The Acrobats amulet would reduce fall damage by 75% and allow players to do a triple jump. This would allow players to be more agile in combat and other endeavors.

Fun House / Useless Superpowers
« on: April 26, 2016, 11:39:23 AM »
Try to think of useless super powers. If your character is deemed "worthless" enough, I will give you a point. I'll keep track of the points here.

Example: The power to see through tinted glass

Atlas: 3

Criminal Duck: 1

Jesse: 1

Crazytater: 7

Casual Onion: 1

#: 1

Ravenclaw: 2

Jared: 1

Jaz: 8

Jakub:1
