Creative Features / [Help Needed] Re: How do I script stages (checkpoints) for an obstacle course?
« on: April 20, 2017, 10:49:54 AM »
Var [х] = [history:checkpoint/x]
Var [y] = [history:checkpoint/y]
Var [z] = [history:checkpoint/z]
Teleport [player] [x,y,z]

Set that as the respawn script, And for the checkpoint addition script, All you need to do is set the player's checkpoint history marks to the coordinates of the checkpoint.

Thanks, just to clarify though, is the x y and z where the coords of the checkpoints go?  And do I set their history by adding History [name] [player] [+1] to the script?

Don't do +1, Set that to the coordinate at that position. Otherwise, Yes.

General Discussion / Re: Jimscord - A discord server
« on: April 19, 2017, 06:33:51 PM »
I wish it luck Jim, my discord is very quiet...

That's because most members are in a cancerous discord (officially known as the Total Miner Discord. What a great impression that makes).

The other, decent members, are in a different discord.  ;)

I would normally agree with stuff that you say, But this one seems to be kinda irrelevant to what he said.

While I don't know exactly what Onion meant, I would assume from the context and what he said that he has his own server and that it is quiet. He never referenced the "cancerous discord".

It would seem as though you are just taking any chance you can get to jab at the one Derfen runs, Even when it is only vaguely relevant to the situation at hand.

I could always be misinterpreting the situation, But this is how it appears to me.

Creative Features / [Help Needed] Re: Item swing speed
« on: April 17, 2017, 08:19:36 AM »
First go to your world options in the lobby and set the skills to local. You can turn them off ingame, But if they are on global, The Item command will not work.

Then for each item you want to change the swing speed of, Make a line of script with this command.
"Item [name] [speed=X] [delay=X]"

Speed determines the total item swing time in seconds. Delay is the amount of that time that is spent with no animation.

For example, If you wanted a warhammer to take 0.75 seconds to swing, And have a 0.25 second delay before you can swing again, You would use this command.

"Item [TitaniumWarhammer] [speed=1] [delay=0.25]"

Ideas / Re: more to spectate

As a host, I can agree with this idea completely. I feel it should be an admin only priveledge though.

I don't see why that would be the case. Generally, You would give spectate to spectators. Spectators would benefit from this just like normal players.

It takes a single line of script to clear someone's inventory.

Yeah, But then you need to put in another line to remove their text chat permission, And another to remove their voice chat permission. It's the only way to prevent the complaining. And even then, You have to actually block them for it to completely stop all complaining.

Ideas / Re: Custom commands
« on: April 09, 2017, 04:55:09 PM »
I would prefer this to be something similar to
SetEventScript [consolecommand] [script]

And within that script you could use an "IsConsoleInput" conditional to query various parameters and arguments.

It would also be necessary to allow the possibility to retrieve one or more variables from a custom command. I just don't know how that would be done.

Ideas / Re: Compass [Player/Global] [Distance] [R/G/B/W]
« on: April 06, 2017, 08:27:49 AM »
Well, the rgbw wasn't for a number setting.

It was for red, blue, green, and white as 4 different choices, seeing as for markers on a map, having 10 shades of yellow wouldn't be super important.

To be honest, I think you are looking at this wrong. I've been playing Oblivion, And the only compass marker colours are grey (For map markers), Red (Your quest is in a different area of the world.), Green (Your quest is in this area of the world), And blue (Your personal map marker.)

All of the default map markers are the same colour. What makes them stand out against each other is the fact that they have different icons. The only markers that ever change colour are the quest markers, And they do it for a reason that TM has no reason to ever do.

So I would say that instead of asking for colours, You should ask for icons.

Blacksmith (ability to craft with tools and weapons)

Alchemist Brewer (ability to make potions)

Tailor (ability to make armor)

Fisherman (can fish)

Miller (turns wheat and seeds into bread... Life sustaining goodness. It'll be fun on a bun)

Farmer (can grow crops)

Rancher (breeds animals)

Merchant (buys/sells goods at player created prices - does not have to be money as a cost)

Alchemist (Transmutes base elements into noble elements.)

The use of Alchemy to solely describe potion making has always bugged me. Seeing as how the primary goals of alchemy involve the transmutation of elements, The creation of an elixir of life, And the creation and perfection of the Philosopher's Stone.

Also, Here are a few jobs.

Assassin (Kills people for money.)

Mercenary (Does any kind of work for money)

Spy (Infiltrates X organization and gathers intelligence to report back to their agency.)

Pizza Deliveryman (Delivers pizza for money.)

Chef (Makes food for money (How has nobody said this yet?))

There was no scam. Nobody ever asked how long the membership lasted for. I hope you've learned a valuable lesson from this.
I mean... I'd pay $300 next year for just a name colour change, if it was as pretty as this year. $400 if it were my orange.

Wouldn't an orange creamsicle membership melt quickly?

Keep fighting the good fight, Jamie. We all love you here, And I personally think that from what I have seen of you, You are one of those people who seems to have a lot of natural talent.

I'm only very slightly younger than you, So I know the feeling of drifting away from old Xbox friends that you used to talk to every day. I had a group of 4-5 people who I used play Halo Reach custom games with a whole lot. They've all moved on in life, Or are just in a position where I am no longer in contact with any of them.
There's only one of them whom I still regularly talk to.

I don't know how much help this advice will be, But perhaps you should try turning negative thoughts into something positive. I'll use building in TM as an example here.

Say you build something and your first thought about it is "This sucks, Why even bother?" What you can then try to do is ask yourself questions about the negative thought. "Why does this suck?" "Does it really suck, Or am I just being negative?" "How can I improve this so it no longer sucks?" Once you have answers to all of your questions, You can then turn that information into something positive. Say you have figured out why you think your build sucks, You can then go in and fix all of that to make it suck less.

Also, Just a fun fact. Your first contact with me was telling all recent players that you had a drop party going on your deathmine...

I would like to donate to become a platinum member. Where may I do that?

You've got to leave the money (All cash, Unmarked $1s, $5s, And $10s.) at the designated dead drop location. The drop location changes every week and the coordinates can be found hidden in the forums logo.

DO NOT leave your name at the drop location, And definitely DO NOT let anyone know why you are there.

The list of available memberships can be found in the premium member board, Along with their prices.

Also, Keep in mind that the dead drop locations are only checked once a year. So your payment will not make it through until then, And in the (likely) event that your money gets stolen before collection, You will not be reimbursed.

I believe there is a sale for Palladium membership for only $2000. You should take advantage of that while it lasts.
